Well we already have the call into our TA , we are doing the Sept 8th 2010 Med and staying on to do the Sept 18th 2010 TransAtlantic .. The Trans Atlantic is appealing cause of the new ports , and the Med well , its the Med and we havent gone there before ...

Even without the travel expenses, figure skating and hockey start at about $250 per seat, per event. OY!

Oh, we'll probably do some of the Olympics as well. We only really have to worry about the event prices (my sister lives in Richmond (the speed skating oval is there) so free room and board) - haven't even looked at the prices yet. If you have any logisitc questions - I'll try and answer.

It's Ken and my 20th Anniversary in 2010 - 18th today!. We'd like to do something then - either a 7 day or a 4 day cruise/land. Need to twist DSis's arm to watch the rugrats.

Congrats on the job and with a raise to boot! Now to get one for K, Monica and Kimmie.

I needed a good laugh today after seeing the prices of the new itinerary! Ouch!!
Not sure what we will be doing, but I'm thinking we will wait for the new ships. Maybe try for a 5 day or double dip on the Wonder, if those come up. Heck we could do 3 back to back Wonder's for the price of our family of 5 on the Magic

I got this today in an email from my niece...made me laugh, so I thought I'd share:

Wow that's really great! I wish I could find a job like that. I'll be lucky if I get a week. I think pointing out that I haven't worked outside the home in the last 14 years might be a factor.

I've been avoiding the DIS so I don't turn into an unemployed unkempt hermit. I just watched the live announcement for 2010. Looks like fun, but we have another TOAL planned for 2010. Plus, I'm not sure I want to pay the "DCL premium" price for a Euro cruise since you spend very little time on the ship. Repo would be nice, but the dates won't work for us.

Good news! I got a job offer. Well 2 actually, but I'm only taking one. They are all independent (more like a franchise than a corporation), but I'm back working for the same organization that I worked for in Alaska.

I start next Monday, so I get to pocket about a month's worth of severance from my last job AND I ended up with a 17% raise. YAY!

Hey M! Good news on the job! Congrats - just how did you get the 4 week caluse in? I love that. Do they know you take them consequetively? They may renig on that part if they know.

Thank you for the update for the charges on our card. I actually am disputing 2x charges and hopefully they will get them off. It's all in Aruba and they were at the Aloe place and one other place. This is just crazy that they charge again. It was charged on the 8/30 and now 10/1 and we are not there to do it again.
I loved Aruba but makes me wonder why they are charging everyone more than once or even twice. Next time its cash for me in Aruba. I loved Aruba though.

I hope that you all get it taken off and hope that we don't see anymore charges.

Oh, I have you in mind when I have logistics questions. I'm not sure I even know enough to ask questions yet. I was going to focus on TOAL 2010 after I unpacked from TOAL 2008, then the job thing happened and I was afraid to think about vacation plans.

Also, I know this has been discussed a bazillion times...but I just want to be sure I have correct info. In order to transfer our 09 cruise deposit to a 2010 date, WE have to call? We booked onboard and then transferred it to DU when we got home.

Lastly...when we got home my mom decided she wished she had booked onboard too. (sigh) Should I book her now, on our dummy date and then transfer her with us or just book her as a new booking when we transfer it? Is there any benefit to her one way or the other?

For anybody who did the 07 TA's...what was your weather like?

I had a flash of brilliance (or desperation) thinking maybe the April TA would hit over Easter break so we'd only have to miss one week of school...but Easter is 4/4 in 2010....so no matter what week they took off it wouldn't help.

Also, I know this has been discussed a bazillion times...but I just want to be sure I have correct info. In order to transfer our 09 cruise deposit to a 2010 date, WE have to call? We booked onboard and then transferred it to DU when we got home.

DU will have to switch dates for you but it does need to be called in.

For your mom, I would wait to book because you can book it online (hopefully) and get the half off deposit. Also, if you book now, you will have to call in to change the date, where if you wait, you have the option to call or do it online.

As you all can imagine, things have been kind of crazy lately gearing up for 2010 release. Everyone who booked with DU onboard will be contacted by me (hopefully tomorrow!) about the possible 2010 itineraries. Just thought I'd let you know.
