OK - I just turned on my alarm system - guarding the house is my handy dandy ADT + system. You like?
Makes me mad. I'm doing whites now and beiges next then socks for the April. School starts on the 26th. Oops - bell rang - gotta switch washing to drying. Then got to have dinner. Another late one for me.Funny you should say that - I actually have some stuff spread out on the bed. Steve finished packed already.
Leissa started college today....hope April does good on her first day back. I got a busy day tomorrow so I am gonna go to bed. I will talk to you sometime over the weekend before you leave!

I work for Boeing and am a member of the union. You guys don't know it, but I've been out on a leave of absence since June 9 for depression. Just a whole lot going on and I was sinking pretty low. I'm doing better now, just not great, but supposed to go back to work Sept 2. I found out yesterday that as of August 9th, my leave has been denied.
LOL....We went to Universal today and had a blast. The weather was perfect, and while the park is very different from Universal Orlando, we loved it.
...But first we are going by the Grand Californian to check in for the cruise...has anyone already done that and was it "hassle-free" ? LOL

I work for Boeing and am a member of the union. You guys don't know it, but I've been out on a leave of absence since June 9 for depression. Just a whole lot going on and I was sinking pretty low. I'm doing better now, just not great, but supposed to go back to work Sept 2. I found out yesterday that as of August 9th, my leave has been denied. I have a letter from my doctor that has me out longer. It's due to me not getting paperwork in that was due August 1st until August 8th. Because of that slip up, it was denied. Due to that, I have no job protection and Boeing could consider this as abandoning my job, in which case they would start the termination process. There is no appeal process through Atnea (who deals with LOA's) or Boeing. I can't reopen a claim once it's been denied.
I went to the Union today and talked to my Rep. I told him the story and he's going to make some calls and see what is up and what he can do. He knows that i'll be out of the country for 2 weeks, but that doesn't matter. I have a letter from my doctor saying I need to be out. He has my cell phone number and will keep me posted.
I know Boeing won't automatically terminate, but I also don't know they won't.
Oh, and another wonderful thing. Our Union contract expires at midnight Sept 3. We have a VERY strong and powerful union. They have struck in the past and certainly could again this time.
DH says not to worry about it all. I wish I could do that.
Thanks, I really need it. I'm so sick of packing I can't think straight anymore. I know I'm way over packing but I'm at the point that I just don't care anymore. Thing is, I'm sick just thinking about number of pieces we're taking. I've already added one and am contemplating adding another, on top of what we originally planned.Here is some packing motivation for those still working on it....

We will be on the road by 7:30 am, headed to my brother's house. He will drive us to the airport (Philadelphia) and bring the van back sometime this weekend. Lucked out on that one.
