8/17/08 Captain Jack's Repossession Repo Cruise to PC thru TPC #14

Hi! We made it to California. Our flights were bumpy but luckily not delayed, like several other flights. We got to our hotel around 2am Friday CA time. We got up at and then went to Disneyland. We wanted to be there for rope drop at 8am. Well my Dad's cousin was meeting us with tickets. It was after 9am till they arrived. We accomplished a lot today. I gotta get to bed as we are heading out early again tomorrow.

Oh, I almost forgot. We were sitting in the Enchanted Tiki room and my brother got an email which we though was a confirmation that our parent's flights were canceled as they were no longer joining us since my Dad was sick.

After further investigation it is an email stating they are flying out at 6:40am on Saturday. So our parents are probably getting ready now for their 6:40am flight to Cleveland and then to LAX. They are joining us afterall. They had even canceled the cruise and managed to rebook in the same stateroom. My Dad is feeling better and the doctor is telling him to go. This has been the weirdest 48 hours of my life.

My brother-in-law KELAN is coming on the cruise. Although he has been conducting research for Harvards' Channing Lab and teaching at Harvard Medical School for over a decade... and although he has been published extensively... it seems he has just gained a greater measure of "notariety" by being published again but this time gained widespread main stream publication. All right! We're all packed! at 7:00 am tomorrow morning we leave the house! Flight at 9:25 am from JFK! Pray we don't get delayed!

Oh good, I don't feel so over-packed now. We have 8 pieces of checked luggage, but one is a box just of diapering supplies. And one of the suitcases is filled with I'm not sure what because I was so tired of packing. As for carry ons, we only have 2+. The plus is a diaper bag, car carrier (with baby inside), food bag (for baby), stroller to gate check, and tiny rolling backpack of toys for DS.

So hows everyone doing? Anyone packed? Am I the only one who has NOTHING packed so far?

Hey Tom, I finally started! Got a big chunk but here I am at 2:30 in the morning - with both girls konked out on the bed doing . I have no reason why I'm not yet. On a funny note. DH was stressing out today, finally we went to dinner. We come back - and after 1/2 hr, he comes out of the outhouse and looks at me and tells me - I thought we were leaving tomorrow! I couldn't figure out why you weren't going WACKO! His word that makes me WACKO! I look at him and said - its because I'm not a male blonde that's why. He calls me wacko one more time, he's not going to make unto the ship.

BTW, I truly believe that Magical Pins will be the last to pack. I however, believe I will be the last to leave so I can turn off the lights when I leave the house hopefully by 12:45 pm on Sunday. Should be seeing you all around 2:30 just in time for boat drill!

All ready to go....but apparently JetBlue isn't....flight supposed to leave at 9:25 am, delayed to 11:15am. Didn't sleep last night (I was too excited to sleep!) so all I wanted to do was get on the plane and just get to California. Grrrr...haven't left the house yet so I don't know if we're going to tell the limo to come later or just go when it gets here....

We have printed our boarding passes, suitcases are packed, just a couple of odds and ends to throw into my carryon. Charging all electronics and we will be ready to go for our EARLY flight tomorrow

Good morning everyone!

Safe travels to everyone today! Just sitting here letting the others sleep for awhile..watched the sun come up of DCA...my Sister arrived safely about midnight last night and we are ready to go! Will be meeting Monica for a sprint to Toy Story Mania this morning and then off running like crazy people!

I am not sure if I will get to check in until after dinner tonight so have a great day!
