OK, cruising 's, I need really good thoughts. I don't know if I'm going to have a job when we get back...
I work for Boeing and am a member of the union. You guys don't know it, but I've been out on a leave of absence since June 9 for depression. Just a whole lot going on and I was sinking pretty low. I'm doing better now, just not great, but supposed to go back to work Sept 2. I found out yesterday that as of August 9th, my leave has been denied. I have a letter from my doctor that has me out longer. It's due to me not getting paperwork in that was due August 1st until August 8th. Because of that slip up, it was denied. Due to that, I have no job protection and Boeing could consider this as abandoning my job, in which case they would start the termination process. There is no appeal process through Atnea (who deals with LOA's) or Boeing. I can't reopen a claim once it's been denied.
I went to the Union today and talked to my Rep. I told him the story and he's going to make some calls and see what is up and what he can do. He knows that i'll be out of the country for 2 weeks, but that doesn't matter. I have a letter from my doctor saying I need to be out. He has my cell phone number and will keep me posted.
I know Boeing won't automatically terminate, but I also don't know they won't.
Oh, and another wonderful thing. Our Union contract expires at midnight Sept 3. We have a VERY strong and powerful union. They have struck in the past and certainly could again this time.

DH says not to worry about it all. I wish I could do that.

Wow....so sorry all this is happening, when you should be thrilled & excited for this TOAL!

Girls are home! DD9 has a big ole abrasion on her thigh and elbow but says they don't hurt!

They probably have no idea!

I figure we'll just get there around 9, and no biggie if we have to hang out and wait for a while.

DD14 is anxious to meet you! We'll hang out together!

Oh, and we'll be easy to spot on embark day because Tony and I will be wearing matching Axiom Starliner t-shirts. I figured that the Axiom was fitting to wear on the kick-off to 15 days of pure indulgence.

The kids are auditioning tonight (@ 7) for a different kind of Cinderella......

I know that the stepsisters are played by guys....

I had emailed the director since we'll be out of town during the regular auditions...since he lives near us he said he'll jsut stop by and listen to my kids sing -- they've acted for him before but, he's never heard them sing....

17dd & 10ds sing fine -- not fantastic but, passable! Actually 17dd can sing really good if she relaxes and really SINGS. BUT, they hate singing auditions and certainly the kind of audition where the director is just a few feet from you!

Keep your fingers and toes crossed for them! We won't know until about Set 5 or 6th if they made it or what parts they would get. The regualr auditions are Sept 3 & 4th (we'll be in WDW then....)

10ds is singing *We're on Our Way* & 7dd is singing some Ariel song.... I've forgotten which one. I have Disney karoake cd's just for audtion purposes.
