More good news... the last item i need for the FE arrived (my FE has 6 parts and requires assembly - which I will do while flying tomorrow). Its a 'creative' gift (though not as creative as the Roaming Gnome)... I hope you guys like it!

Michelle, if you have filled out the online check in and have PRINTED all those papers then you do not need any of the paper documents except your luggage tags

Even if you do end up needing anything the pier will have blank forms you can fill out

Hi everyone! Just thought I'd pop in here and wish you all safe travels, and have a GREAT cruise!!

I've glanced in here a time or two over these past months, and I'm glad to see so many of you still here. I'm finally to the point where I don't cry just reading here...
But I still get a little teary-eyed thinking about the TOAL that we won't be on...Maybe next year.

I hope you all have a wonderful time, and I can't wait to see pictures!!!

I just got part of the secret Mickey gift my DS is giving by Fed EX....the scary thing is, I didn't even realize we didn't get it yet!!!

Good thing it arrived in time! I hope we got everything else I ordered.

We always stay as cheap as possible. We would rather stay cheaper for longer and do more vacations per year instead of one big huge high-end room vacation.

This is the main reason we travel in steerage - would much rather do 3-4 cruises ( ) in steerage on the Magic than one balcony view once a year!

OK OK OK - so DH likes to travel in the dark. However, when he's not around - I go full speed ahead and pull out all the stops.

It was good...I don't think spectacular but I am not an expert on hot dogs..

be prepared to wait in a line tho..not sure when you are going. I would imagine on the weekend (Fri/Sat) it will be a lot crazier then when we went.

As for names, no one calls me by my proper name (Theresa) except the nuns in grade school and my Mom when I was in trouble. Weren't too many Theresa's or Terri's when I was in school. My last name was fairly common and then I went and married a Smith. Talk about common. And when I named my daughters it was family names. But there ended up being 4 Sarah's in my youngest daughter's kindergarten class and we couldn't even do Sarah S, because there was another Sarah S. Now my oldest daughter paid me back by naming her son a name I have never heard before - Dignan. I am told it is Celtic. And now I have a last name that isn't so common but 10 letters long. Smith was so much easier to sign.

All of our kids have *common* names because when I was growing up you couldn't find *Stephanie* things anywhere! LOL!
The funny thing is that it is difficult to find Claire items that are already personalized! At Hallmark I have to buy ornaments with her middle name because they don't carry Claire items! LOL! The funny thing is that I thought her middle name was more unusual!

I just called Disney Visa to have them add the travel note and the agent I spoke with was sitting next to Arlene Hey Cheryl - Arlene says "Hi!"

It is a small world..........I met Arlene when I called to complain about United Airlines overcharging me for a trip to WDW(my airline tickets by $3000). Arlene answered the Visa phone to help and we have been friends ever since.

I was jsut going to post that you met Arlene by calling to complain!

Ditto that! Though I did know a bunch of "Teresa's" and "Terri's" when I was growing up, none were in my classes. One case of mistaken identity though, apparently I had a distant cousin with the same first/last names... In college, her transcripts were stapled onto mine and no one bothered to even check that I would've been 1 yr old when she failed out of that college The first time I went to the Dr in town after I moved here, they rudely asked "Do you have insurance?" I was like "Yeah..." Then they gave me paperwork for a woman that was 20 or so yrs older. And then creditors called my sister and asked if she knew me (again mistaken identity!)

UGH! 28ds has a common first/last name (not so common middle). When he was about 13 I had a sheriff show up on my dorrstep to serve him a warrant.... I told the sheriff that the person he was asking for is a child NOT my dh. The sheriff looked at ds and turned to me and said *I probably won't be the last person trying to find him* It turned out that there was a *shady* contactor with the same name........

OK, I'm leaving in three days and I am still insanely jealous of all you guys who are leaving first!

I won't be going, he will go alone (with adult Scoutmasters).

Its the Boy Scout National Jamboree http://www.bsajamboree.org/

My family stopped by the Jamboree for a few hours when my brother was there in 1989. I wanted to stay!

Is it still a huge deal to get to go to?? I remember my brother had to apply and interview with the council staff and had to achieve a certain rank. I don't remember what rank it as, but DB was going to have just enough time-in-grade to promote to that rank about a week before they left. He busted out a lot of merit badges that spring/summer & was the youngest kid from our council (he was 12). He really grew up during that short trip. In a good way.

I noticed all the "safety" references in the PR you posted. The adults who were electrocuted at the last Jamboree were from our Alaska council. My org. had close ties to BSA and I ended up going in to work the night that happened - so sad.

I have an H. I am named after St. Theresa Martin. I have even had people try to pronounce the H. My principal in HS did when he announced me for graduation. I told him twice at rehearsal the H was silent, but there in front of the entire class he called me THeresa. I guess it may have been a good thing the principal didn't know me on a first name basis.

I only use the Theresa when it is official business - insurance, DL, doctor, etc. So when someone calls on the phone and asks for Theresa I usually know it is a telemarketer or my doctor's office.

You do realize that we are all going to call you THeresa now, right??

I am not one bit French and neither is my DH - but my name is Michelle Rene Somethingfrenchsounding. I just love it when people develop an insta-French accent when saying my name.

Nope, I started listing the countries and I think I may have said it was a cruise. She asked if it was the DIsney Panama Canal cruise and when I said "yes!" she said it was funny because her co-worker sitting next to her was on that same cruise. THEN I asked if the co-worker was Arlene

By the way..got an email from DCL Weddings..I have been blessed with something truely "hassle Free"..issue all worked out....only took 2 hours...a couple of emails..phone calls and a shoulder to cry on!

A couple of quick prayer/good thoughts requests.....

1) That our SIL's mother makes a full recovery. She has lung cancer that they think they caught early. She's already had the surgery.

2) that the couple that are trying to buy one of our *extra* houses can quailify for the loan. We are giving them a tremendous deal (dh knows them) and he was going to be doing the *fix* up work for us to get it ready for sale anyway...Dh told him that he would sell it to him for $40,000 off the going rate for the neighborhood if we didn't have to do any of the clean up, fix up, etc.... Most of the fix up is cosmetic (all of it is upstairs -- the bathrooms up there needed to be updated) since we had the downstairs completely redone in the last 2 yrs. All new kitchen, etc.....

BTW i had a real scare this morning.. missed my traintype scare.. for all of the bottom line only folks.. everything is ok

I thought I lost my wallet.. credit cards, driver license, health card., cash station card. etc.. I went to Target last night and then thought I put it in my laptop bag like always.. I am driving off to the train this morning and looked for my wallet .. wanted to see if I had any money.. not in the pocket it belongs..stopped and looked all over the laptop bag..in all the pockets .. zipped and unzipped each one.. not there. turned around went home.. not on my desk, not in the pocket of the jeans I had on last night.. not in the kitchen or the bath.. nowhere..

So my mind is racing.. ok i can get on a plane with the passport.. if I cancel the credit cards will i get a replacement before Friday.. prob not.. so I can bring am ex checks.... So i wake up DH and ask him to drive me to train.. as I don't have a license.. he said he would look around the house some more and then go to Target.. I am PANICed.. but have the train ticket and badge to get to work in another pocket of laptop bag..

Get on the train.. keep looking for the 12th time in the laptop bag.. like it will appear magically.. Took my blackberry out to check emails and FOUND IT in behind the Blackberry.. in the little blackberry pocket.. i AM SO RELieved.. so that is my day so far.. how is yours??

This is like one of my dreams recently...LOL Glad you found it and it all worked out. I had a bit of a passport scare last weekend, but all ended well!

UPS has decided not to let us ship the sunblock -- even though we had all the correct paperwork for shipping aresol canisters.

Dh is having his shipping dept check with their UPS rep because it is also a strike against dh's company -- for trying to ship hazardous material. I told Jon I would have left the sunblock off the list if I had known it would be such a problem.
So, now I have to pack 24lbs of stuff..... Great!

We ae grandfathered in and can have 2 bags each BUT, I really didn't want to have that much luggage!!!

I had no idea you couldn't ship sunscreen! That stinks!

Our weather is cool and overcast this morning, but should get sunny soon and warm up to the mid 80's again. I was at DL last night and when I left around midnight it was 68 degrees. Crowds were not bad at all...hope that continues thru the week! Although with 1000 dis friends showing up by the end of the week, attendance may change...​

That card apparently quit putting a phone number or anything like that on the statement. All I see is

He said he could send me a copy of the receipt that they submitted, but that'll take 30 days. The guy did tell me that it is a souvineer shop.
I'm hoping when I talk to the people about contesting the charge today (I'm going to call them again) they'll be able to tell me more about it. I'll also remember to ask if it was keyed or swiped. That's a good question. But the other odd thing is that the purchase was made on Tuesday in a city 2 hours away. DH was working and I was home with a sick baby!

But now we're afraid to continue using that card... What if the number and info really was stolen and they're just testing to see if it works?
