I did, however, learn that I am about to be the victim of fraud in a foreign country, but for just $7.99 a month it will be all right.

That's ok..people assume I am french because my name is Desiree Gabrielle Beyea - I am almost 100% Italian! My maiden name was Meglio so atleast then I got a French/Italian assumption.

I'm Italian too. We can hang out together and not talk French with our hands.

Just curious.....did you and Jen ever complete the adoption?

No, due to some paperwork issues and some things that were done terribly wrong by the county, we were not able to adopt the 2 girls we were going for. It was heartbreaking, and really tough emotionally for both of us. It's been a year (one year on Sunday to be exact...). I still think about those girls all the time and wonder where they are and who they're with.

But things are going well for us now, and we're settling into our new house. We're finishing up on a bathroom remodel, and then we're going to put the nursery together . We're having a home visit from the state (we'll need our homestudy rewritten to reflect that we've moved, and we need to have the house approved). Then we're going on the list to foster newborn babies. We're going into it knowing that they'll likely go back to their bio families, but we do hope to adopt one of them someday.

Anyhow, I won't bore you with any more details. You all have more important things to do, like pack and get started on your vacation!!!

Have a GREAT time everyone!! I'll be thinking about you all!!

Hi everyone! Just thought I'd pop in here and wish you all safe travels, and have a GREAT cruise!!

I've glanced in here a time or two over these past months, and I'm glad to see so many of you still here. I'm finally to the point where I don't cry just reading here...
But I still get a little teary-eyed thinking about the TOAL that we won't be on...Maybe next year.

I hope you all have a wonderful time, and I can't wait to see pictures!!!

A couple of quick prayer/good thoughts requests.....

1) That our SIL's mother makes a full recovery. She has lung cancer that they think they caught early. She's already had the surgery.

2) that the couple that are trying to buy one of our *extra* houses can quailify for the loan. We are giving them a tremendous deal (dh knows them) and he was going to be doing the *fix* up work for us to get it ready for sale anyway...Dh told him that he would sell it to him for $40,000 off the going rate for the neighborhood if we didn't have to do any of the clean up, fix up, etc.... Most of the fix up is cosmetic (all of it is upstairs -- the bathrooms up there needed to be updated) since we had the downstairs completely redone in the last 2 yrs. All new kitchen, etc.....

I will say a prayer for both issues!

BTW i had a real scare this morning.. missed my traintype scare.. for all of the bottom line only folks.. everything is ok

I thought I lost my wallet.. credit cards, driver license, health card., cash station card. etc.. I went to Target last night and then thought I put it in my laptop bag like always.. I am driving off to the train this morning and looked for my wallet .. wanted to see if I had any money.. not in the pocket it belongs..stopped and looked all over the laptop bag..in all the pockets .. zipped and unzipped each one.. not there. turned around went home.. not on my desk, not in the pocket of the jeans I had on last night.. not in the kitchen or the bath.. nowhere..

So my mind is racing.. ok i can get on a plane with the passport.. if I cancel the credit cards will i get a replacement before Friday.. prob not.. so I can bring am ex checks.... So i wake up DH and ask him to drive me to train.. as I don't have a license.. he said he would look around the house some more and then go to Target.. I am PANICed.. but have the train ticket and badge to get to work in another pocket of laptop bag..

Get on the train.. keep looking for the 12th time in the laptop bag.. like it will appear magically.. Took my blackberry out to check emails and FOUND IT in behind the Blackberry.. in the little blackberry pocket.. i AM SO RELieved.. so that is my day so far.. how is yours??

Thank god you found it. I was out today at lunch and went into a Rite Aid. As I'm walking away that was on line behind me calls me and points to the floor where I'd just been standing, where my wallet was. I am so, so thankful that she noticed and called me back right away. My heart was beating so hard realizing I could have lost it and would have had no idea.

I had no idea you couldn't ship sunscreen! That stinks!

I told dh that it never crossed my mind that sunscreen was considered hazardous! LOL! The wierd thing was that dh had his shipping dept do the proper paper work for the hazardous sunscreen and UPS STILL refused it!

Thanks for the reminder. I called Disney Visa (no Arlene) and put the out of country note on my account. They didn't even ask where I was traveling or try to sell me anything. Now what else am I forgetting? I still can't find the 7 day pill boxes. I have one, but want 3 for 3 weeks worth of pills. All I could find was the double ones. They are too bulky. I did copy my prescriptions though and will put them with my pills in my carry on.

Everyone stay healthy for these last few days. I feel like I am bringing a pharmacy with me and I know I will come down with something I don't have drugs for. I have to be careful what I take because of medical issues.

Gee, I am not getting much work done today am I? Oh well I still have 3 days to do it all. DH is so worried his boss will mess up his jobs while he is gone. Now my boss sits in another state and knows almost nothing about what I do. So it is up to my staff to hold it all together.
