Nope...not really..just some late night silliness!

Good morning all! Just a quick post before we head off to Dream Dinners.

As for the cheap digital underwater camera..we played with it last night for a bit...the pictures aren't to bad...depends what res. you put it on. But being that 2 disposibles would have run me 30 bucks and this was 24...it was worth it to me for DD to have some fun with. I will see if DH can help me post the pix later.

I picked up this one for $99.99 a few months ago -

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000QCI65I

It takes pretty decent pics, both underwater and just regular outdoors shots. It's not that hot for indoors, but that's not what I have it for. I'm taking this plus my regular Nikon. I plan to take the Vivitar with us any of the excursions involving water and use the Nikon the rest of the time.

OH MY! Major glitch avoided! :) This morning I started looking for DH's poa so that I can take care of a couple of things before we leave here and decided to take out the WDW tickets and put them with our stuff. They weren't in the safe!!! :( The desk got cleaned off and I did find some stuff that had been "missing" since we moved in so that is good. I sat down and DISd to relax and started searching our room...and praying to St. Anthony. THe first drawer I opened had them!!!! WHEW!!!

Looky Looky! I found these on the boards, they're made by a fellow pirate:

Anyone remember where this one is:

However, I suspect this is a hacked clip looping hurricane footage - possibly Frances since that "H" cut right over the port and Orlando. Unless - of course - this THUNDERSTORM at the Port is actually as intense as it looks to me! Below is the current weather condition report for Cape Canaveral:

We will gradually be working back to ET. It should be easier doing it that way then going on the WB where the jump would be the first day back.

Yes, the time difference back should help, but we are more worried about the late nights. They were never late risers, but have been sleeping in WAY too much lately. My summertime motto is "as long as you aren't bothering me" for bedtime, but DD14 has really been taking advantage of it. Some days they still have to get up at 8 or so for various things, but it is a struggle. I can't imagine 6:30 - 7 am!:scared: And going to bed by 8:30?:rolleyes1

Sarah (DD14) got a nice tour of the high school this morning. She got her locker number and combination as well as her schedule. Looks pretty good. She has two teachers that I had there so I am glad about that. THey do have her down for a half year study hall...I am guessing the electives she picked didn't fit...It's the first half so she either has to go right to the guidence office the first few days and see what's available, or take advantage of it since it is the last period of the day! Personally, I would keep it as I had study hall every year in HS...needed the break every day.:lmao:

:yay: ..what makes..me fell excited...is watching...my kids....

Oh I hate when that happens!
what I hate even more (that keeps happening EVERY SINGLE TIME) is that we end up with a new thread right before I am able to catch up- so I can't just multi-quote because everything I want to reply to is back on the old thread once a new one is made! LOL

Wishing you luck with them at GS camp...... hope nothing happens while there! No accidents, no ilnesses, etc.
I sure hop that's not staph or MRSA!

yeah, it's almost enough to do it JUST to embarrass the 14yr olds- right? almost..... :rotfl:
:lmao: :thumbsup2

My DS woke me up this morning at 4:00. He said he was having trouble sleeping. I took one look at his pink cheeks and felt his forehead and of course he has a fever. There doesn't seem to be anything else wrong so far, but I'm keeping my fx that whatever this is, that it's done before we leave nexdt week and that's it for being sick. He usually save being sick for when we're actually on a trip. When we were in CA in June, he got croup, a cold and an ear infection (made that plane ride home an interesting experience). Last August when we were at WDW he also had a cold and croup. I'm also keeping my fx that this isn't another ear infection. He had his adenoids out and tubes put in when he was 2.5 because of multiple infections. And then he hadn't had another for 3 years until this past February. And then had another one in April and the one in June. His tubes fell out awhile back and if he has one more infection, it's more tubes in again. And not to mention that DS is very upset about missing camp today because it's "Build-a-toy" day. But at least this is happening now and not when we're about to board the plane or the ship.
Hope he's feeling better real quick.
Crash I am so sorry. Life is so precious every day.
The day before our cruise leaves is the one year anniversary of my DD's friend dying from cancer in 10 months. I am kind of reflective lately and just want to really slow down and appreciate everything I do have. Everyone, please take care and remind your family and friends how much you love and appreciate them.:)
I've been thinking that so often recently. If someone had told me a year ago that my Mom was going to pass away in a little over 2 months, I never would of believed them. She had pneumonia last August, wasn't getting better, dx'd with lung cancer beginning of October and then passed away 3 weeks later on Oct 27.

I was just sitting here trying to decide what I needed to do most after I get off at 2:00 when the news story came on about the bad bus accident nearby that killed 14 so far. They said the blood banks are down to 1 day stock. I am going to donate blood before I do anything today. This goes along what we have been saying about taking your blessings for granted.

Finally caught up after all the fluff (mostly) from last night. All I've got to say is that after the Princess Leia pillow fight, I don't think Crash is innocent anymore!:confused3 :lmao: :lmao:

hi everyone.
monkey wrench in my plans. went for a normal prenatal visit today...and found out there was no heartbeat. sooo....lucky me gets to go to hospital tomorrow for a lovely procedure...and we leave on sunday.
sorry to be a downer...jsut needed to get it out there...cuz i'm kinda loosin it here. please pray that it all works out. thanks.

So sorry to hear this Shannon. You and your family are in our thoughts and prayers. :grouphug:

I was up late last night too, but doing actual cruise stuff instead of fluffing here.

Here's the result of my late night.

Too funny. My 6 year old swears that Miley is his girlfriend! He even got in trouble at school last year because he pushed a boy for making fun of him about it. When we tried to reason with him about it, he just said, "But she really is my girlfriend." and he was dead serious!

So the humidity was about 20%? :lmao: I'm one of those people that will complain about humidity :) But having lived in NM my entire life, what do you expect?? I DIE when I actually do have to deal with humidity. I'm also known for getting a 'reverse elevation sickness' when I go down to sea level... Just like people that come visit me do (I'm at 7500ft elevation)

After being away from humidity the past two summers, I think we're going to be in for a big shock on this cruise!

Wow - that is exactly what it cost me to do the same thing yesterday. The only thing I did differently was I DIDN'T HAND THE RECEIPT TO CHRISTOPHER! Let's just say that him reading this post is ME HANDING HIM THE RECEIPT!!! Well, I guess I won't answer my phone today when he calls to say *you spent what?*:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: Hey honey, I know you still love me!

Sometimes ignorance is bliss! :cool2: :rolleyes1

I really need to get off this thing and find my kitchen!!!!

Shannon -

I'm so sorry. Miscarriages are one of those things our society doesn't talk too much about. I had 4 before I got DD. Nothing much will help, but talking about it here and getting away with your family (and letting them take care of you for a bit) will help. Each time I miscarried, I found that I'd spend the next couple of months seeing nothing but pregnant women.

Be well.

I have not been online for a little more than the past week. I had a major HR mess on my hands at work and caused major havoc. So major the TOAL couldve been in jeopardy.

But alas, after much work (including having to come in at 4:30am for the closing of the books), we seemed to have resolved nearly all of the issues that couldve wrecked my plans.

So while I still have 3 more longs days of work before the TOAL... it will pale in comparison to the past week.

Cant wait for the vacation to start - cause I need it bad.

Sorry I missed the NYC meet - it was in the middle of the mess.

Have I missed anything BIG this past week?

Will likely be on chat tonight to catch up.

Later!

I am sorry for your losses! I know others have shared that they have been thru it as well...my sympathies to you also...I have also gone thru one before I was blessed with my DD.
