WOW! This stuff is so professional....

You guys are so creative and generous...

I feel like a freeloader.

Thanks so much to everyone who has put so much effort into the many activities and planning. I can tell you that me and my family very much appreciate it!

Hi guys -- busy day here since we leave out of JFK tomorrow AM at 9:45 . . . as much as I tried to have things ready in advance, the last day always gets crazy. I will try to check in again over the next week, but regardless I look forward to seeing you all very soon!

Have a safe trip Julie. Please take care and see you soon.

Your friend,

Dawn

Weren't you leaving soon? (actually I thought you'd already left, but obviously you haven't)

I'm so ready to go (and so not ready - I have clothes all over the family room).

What am I forgetting?

I am around...just finishing up DD school day here. Then it's off to get the last few things ready to pack tomorrow and give the house a goo dcleaning (I like to come home to a clean house) Starting Sunday..even tho we aren't traveling..life here gets a little crazy between schooling and meeting people.

be back later!

Back from Blood Care.
First off if you are etremely squemish feel free to jump to the next post.
I was greeted by 15 workers which was my 1st clue it was not a normal day at the ye ole blood center. Turns out Trainee day! Oh lucky me!
I told them I had poor veins and was a bad stick so I did not want a trainee. Well guess what- I got trainee. The intiial stick was ok but apparantly it was not "in" so they spent the next 30 mins digging around my vein w/ the needle trying to get the motherload of veins :scared: After they held the needle and my arm in an exact certain configuration - blood slowly trickled out. After a while they decided it was a no-go. Blood was not flowing. I bravely told them they could pickup with the other arm to fill the bag but they said they were not allowed to do that.
The best part of the whole thing was when the trainee was taking the needle out- in front of 5 other trainees and her trainer- she screamed bloody murder! :rotfl2: Turns out the culprit was a clot that shot out when the needle came out. She was so scared.
So.... I have a huge bruise and did not end up saving anyone's life. :sad1:
But- got a good laugh out of it. :)

Hmmm...$250,000. That's a nice chunk of change. And coincidentally, OSU's helmet sticker budget for the season.

Oh come on.....$250, 000 pays for the Buckeye stickers AND shoelaces!

I was inspired earlier when you posted that you were going to donate. I have been pregnant these last several years and unable to. You reminded me that it needs to go back on my to do list.

I'm glad your experience didn't turn you off completely. Look at it this way, if it had to happen at least it was you and not someone who would never go back. By taking "one for the team" you may have saved more lives than you realize. Now put some ice on your arm.

Showed DS the Miley signs and he's not happy. He's asked me to rework it. He likes having himself in the pic but he wants me to crop it more. And use a different pic of Miley. UGH! I should have just made one and surprised him with it.

OH Well

Hey Christopher, feel free to use one of the other ones if you'd like for your DS. I can add his name if needed, just PM me.

I knew I shouldn't have read that ..made me kind of ill..but it was nice of you to try!

I was up late last night too, but doing actual cruise stuff instead of fluffing here.

Here's the result of my late night.

I found one on the DISign board that had the same wording but decided I wanted different font and a different picture. Had DS pic out a few of his favorite poses and worked with them a little bit.

Monica.....it would be cute to have a large picture of Miley and then a smaller picture of your ds in a "bubble" like she is dreaming of him.

I love being a figment of my own imagination...I would be worried if I was a figment of someone else's.
So many people think I am a figment of a bad nightmare!!:lmao:

Remember you will probably not be able to donate after the TOAL for a year as we are going to areas that have a risk for Malaria. I used to donate all the time but I keep falling into the restricted areas that do not allow me to donate.

Please donate if you can, it saves lives.

I got tons to do and little time. I still have not started packing, I have lots to finish for work and other stuff to finish.

Too funny. My 6 year old swears that Miley is his girlfriend! He even got in trouble at school last year because he pushed a boy for making fun of him about it. When we tried to reason with him about it, he just said, "But she really is my girlfriend." and he was dead serious!

Well, then Miley is a lucky girl! I mean just LOOK at his cute little face in your signature!
