THere are a couple things they can do that I try to make my blonde DD do. If they rinse off really well before getting in the pool, getting their hair fully wet, that will help because the hair can't absorbe as much clorinated water since they are already saturated with the fresh water. She could also comb conditioner through their hair before going in the pool. I think that is suppose to work the same way. Lastly, there is clorine shampoo just for this problem. You can find it at Target or WM.
Yep yep yep
Used to have to do all that (and my sister still does with my niece) but now Ruby's hair isn't super light blonde anymore- so we seem to be doing fine with just rinsing hair beforehand and shampooing pretty soon after getting out of the chlorinated water/pool. my sister does the condition before going/chrorine shampoo still though because her eldest still has very light blond hair- and long. it tends to happen on the lightest part of the hair and on the ends mostly-- guess that's why it doesn't happen to boys with short hair cause their hair isn't sitting in the water even when they are standing up?
All together......
