The weather is warming up..........must know I am going to be there.:thumbsup2

Cheryl you are SO VERY WELCOME! I had alot of fun making the picture for you!

Thank you everyone for your compliments! :lovestruc

So name tags are 100% done! Few! I have a bunch of blank ones I am bringing too! If you notice me at the hojo feel free to ask for them! I will be glad to give them to you!

I have 4 more things I need to pack and I am done!
My carryon is almost packed and ready to go as well!

I'm going to work on my FE's today while doing child care! Hopefully I can get them done!
Chrissie

Slow down and catch a breath. I want to thank you again for the picture. It is great the only thing you forgot to do was sign it!!

I think this weeks has been the slowest week for me, ever, I just hope the cruise actually goes at this speed, I still have a few more days at work, but each day feels like its 48 hours long.

John took off early today too to even get to the dentist early. Time is really dragging.:rolleyes1

I cannot believe that a week from TOMORROW we fly out :scared1: I thought the closer this trip got the more time I'd be able to spend here with you all checking stuff off my list of things to do. NOT :headache: My list continues to grow, my days continue to feel as though they've shrunk and now the list of things that DID NOT and WILL NOT happen before we fly next Friday is growing.

I did not get a new job.

I did not sell my house.

I did not buy a new house.

I did not lose that last stupid 10 lbs.

We've got a showing tomorrow night at 5:45 (actually it's a 2nd showing so I've got my fingers and toes crossed for good news). And what does my DH do last night??? He starts dragging out suitcases  I know, I know we've got a week, but can't we worry about packing suitcases AFTER the showing on Friday. Is that too much to ask :sad2:

Ok, mini-nervous break down is complete. THANK YOU doesn't quite seem to say it all, but to EVERYONE for all of your hard work over the past 18 months to make this trip that was already an event of epic proportions, a trip that will truly be "Of A Lifetime". From your friendship, and guidance, to the task forces and helpers, the teeshirts, and lanyards, and bracelets, and dinners, and newsletters and events, and information ... my list as you know could go on and on and on. THANK YOU pirate: What an amazing feeling it will be to board a ship with 500 or so great friends :grouphug:

NOW ... pass the rum.

TAKE WHAT YOU CAN

~Kandi

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Hang in there!

I think when I board the ship I will collapse in the main lobby and do a snow angel on the carpet.

Please give me the time as I want to be there tto put it on film( or my digital anyway)!!!:worship: :worship:

Golden Horseshoe in DL - absolute must this time around - missed it at the beginning of June.

We also like Hungry Bear - grab a table by the water and watch the canoes/rafts/paddlewheeler.

DCA - the broccoli soup in the breadbowl at Boudin Bakery is good

White Water Snacks - in Grand Californian is reasonably priced and a little out the way - so not as busy + airconditioned. Just go thru the entrance to the hotel by Grizzly River Run and turn left at the concourse.

Of course - don't forgot a dole whip for dessert

I'm pretty sure M won't forget about a dole whip!

:dance3:  Just ONE WEEK from this time, we should (hopefully) just be landing in CA!!!!!! :dance3:

I printed out the Pirate Navigator and deck plans....all I can say is: :wizard: pirate: AWESOME!!!!!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH TO ALL WHO WORKED ON THIS - AND ALL THE OTHER PROJECTS!!!!!pirate: :wizard: THIS IS GOING TO BE SUCH A GREAT TOAL THANKS TO THE HARD WORK AND TIME SO MANY OF YOU PUT IN!!!!!

To all leaving in the next couple days: safe travels!!!!!!:) :wizard:

AM a little worried about one thing: there was an article today that Norwalk is at high levels at summer camps around here, keeping my fingers crossed that it is very regional and will not affect us cruisers/pirates in any way.

on a brighter note: a local athlete (that we were already very proud of !!!!) was chosen to be the flag bearer at the Olympics opening ceremonies tomorrow night!!! ALways look forward to the ceremonies, but we are now even more excited!!!

School day is still going on here...DD dragging today out for some reason! And we have a get-together for the library reading program as well as a meeting tonight.

Have not accomplished anything today since things are moving so slow.....

I am getting jealous as I see people are getting ready to leave on their trip..I want To leave! And then realize I am already here but not on vacation....well..kinda...it's like I am waiting for all my friends to come over so we can hang out! :rotfl2:

:scared1: :scared1: :scared1: :scared1: :scared1: Noooooooooooooooooo

Let me be the first to welcome our newest little pirate -

Magic Cabo DisneyVegas!!!

{hugs}

I'm pretty sure M won't forget about a dole whip!

Yeah, you know me.

How cool is that?
He's been through so much and really represents all that is good about America, IMO.

I remember my mom letting me stay home from school in 1980 - back when the ceremony was shown live during the day - to watch Scott Hamilton carry the flag in the Winter Olympic opening ceremony (we knew him). Almost 30 years ago and I still remember how cool it was!

I have been trying to search and find the site that shows where the cruise ships are located right now. On a Westbound repo report, someone had a link that you could see ALL the ships in the Mexican Riveria (as an example). You could then click on the "Disney Magic" and it would state the air temp, water temp, wave height, etc.

Does anyone know where I can find this again?? I know my father-in-law would love to watch us migrate through this site.

Any help is, as always, appreciated.

Michele

ETA, Lisa beat me to it.

Help to motivate me to start packing. Seems that I keep wanting to read these posts!

Pack, then read, then pack, then read, then pack... then leave!!

Latest cruise nightmare:

The first sea day ended up being a port day because we never left. And we weren't even on the ship. We had cabins out in the woods.

Spent the day shopping for all the stuff I forgot, but I don't know how I knew I forgot it because I hadn't unpacked!

Came back to the area where all the cabins were and there was a picnic table full of various cakes.

There was some comotion going on, went to check it out and Todd's family had just arrived, a day late. And Melissa was 7 months pregnant??? ((SORRY Todd and Melissa I have no idea where that came from. ))

My parents were on the trip (although they cancelled a long time ago) and all my dad did was sit around complaining about everything.

Finally realized it was 5:30, almost time for dinner, and since this was the first "sea" day, it was formal night. I needed my dress, but it was still packed in the trunk of the car.

As I was walking to the car I realized I missed the Kids Meet that I was supposed to be in charge of that morning.

Can't wait for next week....these dreams are killing me!

Breathe!!! Think of the wonderful trip we'll be on. Nothing will go wrong and you'll have 300 of your close DIS Friends with you to help pull you through.

Andrew, I so do agree!

Have 5 shifts left including today. It's very painful (not like the comfy chair).

We're leaving a week from today. We would be in LA by now.

Only a few more days.

See, I have so much to do that the days are flying by. I'm just hoping that I haven't missed anything on my to do list. I have 8 days left and I hope I survive.

OK DL experts -

Where is the best counter service food in DL??
Lunch and dinner.

Discuss . . .

There aren't as many table service places in DL as there in WDW, so counter service is more plentiful. Where we usually eat:

Zocolo
Pizza Port
Boudin's (in DCA)

Also, I'd recommend Story Teller's Cafe in the GC as a sit-down. Breakfast or dinner - don't waste time at lunch. That and Carnation Cafe for breakfast in DL - Ask to meet Oscar (the chef)... He's been there since 1955!

Hang in there!

I think when I board the ship I will collapse in the main lobby and do a snow angel on the carpet.

If you do, I want pictures. :lmao: :lmao: I nearly fell out of my chair laughing at the mental image I got.

Now, what am I forgetting to do??

If these days are slow - just wait for your flight! I don't envy you there. Have a safe one. We're looking forward to meeting you. :)

Hang in there!

I feel that way too, I just might join you! (DD10 would just die!) :rolleyes1
