Just a reminder of something we do...

I have already made out the postcard address "list" (mailing labels) with addresses and purchased my postcard stamps. makes it easier to drop them off at the front desk on our way out to a day of fun (This is for those staying at DL or WDW)

It also helps with remembering who we have already sent postcards to. Once their address is gone..we know we sent it!

I know it doesn't work for on the ship but atleast it's a start for the resort!

So, is anyone else flying Virgin America outta JFK next Thursday?? Would love if there were Disers on the plane. We could chat together via RED LOL!!!

Wish we were leaving on Thursday. We're on Virgin America, but we're flying out on Saturday. We took this same flight out in June and loved it. Definitely made JetBlue seem shabby in comparison.

Since most of you won't see our cabin door, we are way forward on Deck 5 so not a lot of foot traffic, I wanted to share two door magnets my friend made for us and for my DS birthday. She has never been on DCL and is going to WDW for the first time next week. I was showing her some of the threads and how creative people get and this is what she surprised me with:

Oh No! Have spent the last 4 days in the hospital with DH. Drs. say he had a TIA (mini stroke). No lasting difficulties that we know of, but still running lots of tests. Hope they okay us for the cruise. Everything is bought and DD10 is already packed. I have lots that won't get done. Might be the worst dressed but as long as we're on the cruise...

Prayers that all will stay well and your family can have a nice relaxing vacation.

I don't know. Monica proved herself to be a pretty bloodthirsty pirate wench. She must be right up there with Tom, and not far behind Roger too.

I got a few errands done this morning. Including picking up Body Glide so my parts don't chaffe. And no, nobody is borrowing that! (EWWWW )

The kids are bugging to go in the pool. It's a hot one here today!

Oy, timing is everything. DD12 has a sinus infection!! But doc said she can fly, and gave us at first 2 weeks of anti-biotics. When I told her we would be leaving next Thursday and be gone until Sept, she made the script for 3 weeks!! So DD is set!! DS has been complaining of a sore throat..so I might just bring him in to be on the safe side. Lets get all the sickness outta the way NOW!!

What is everybody doing to stay healthy before they leave?? Any secrets?

Also...coming from a very non-humid place....are there any secrets or items we should bring since it sounds like we will be hot & humid then entire time??

Well, I'm getting rather excited as well as the rest of you.

This morning I took a box to UPS and shipped it to the Grand Californian at DL. It will arrive by the end of the day August 11th and I check in August 13th, so it should be waiting for me. The box is filled with some of my clothes as well as Mass supplies (chalice, ciboria, hosts.)

I emailed the pastor at St. Boniface (parish nearest DL) and he is going to supply the altar wine for us for the cruise. One of the office staff or a volunteer is going to deliver it to the Grand Californian after 3:00 p.m. on the 13th, so we will be set for supplies!

Now, all I have to do is try to wait for next Wednesday to arrive.

Although, today, my mind is definitely fixed on things here present. A storm from hell raged through the Chicago area and Northwest Indiana and there is lots of damage here . . . downed lines, et cetera.

That was on bad storm here too. Hope no one was seriouly hurt.

Hope packing has started. Yours was one fo the post I lost due to the storm and now I couldn't find it again.

I don't know how fast (or slow) the deliverly is, but disneystore.com has a clearance sale on pins right now. Don't know if they are cheap enough to make it worth it for trading.

Thanks for the reminder!! Just did 1 and 2!! I also still have to do the magnets. I started. I have to finish and get over to Staples..was there today getting more school supplies and talking to my former co-workers!

I know they say it does not work but I have always had great luck with Airbonne. I always have the girls start taking it about a week before we leave and they have never gotten sick. Hope I am not jinxing us.

I just found this so funny! I am currently packing my larger carryon...we decided all we could bring is water (no wine - will have to purchase on the ship) Just to much to bring and not enough room. Trying to keep in mind that I have to get all of this stuff back in a van!

I picked up 3 packs of JUMBO (they are big and heavy) pins, at the Disney Store a few months ago. The pins wound up being under 2.00 each . I think I have a total of 12 pins to trade. My kids of course want to keep them .

Glad you are feeling better...Day is going better now that I am DONE with work for the day!
I have to pick up my dress from my friends house...(her mom's an AMAZING seamstress and she helps me out adjusting my clothes!)
Then going to visit my good friend Margi Rita ..with a friend...so my day is progressively getting better...doing more tags and laundry now!

Gosh I can't believe that there are really only 12 days left till we BOARD the SHIP. YAH. 10 DAYS till we leave yah...I am SO EXCITED!!!SCREAMING AND JUMPING UP AND DOWN...

You can't use labels on the ships postcards?
