ComiCon is the largest comic convention in the US. San Diego was taken over by a few HUNDRED THOUSAND people this weekend here to attend ComiCon. I have friends at work who take the last half of the week off just to attend every year. It gets crazy around here during ComiCon weekend!

As many as that? I have a friend their staffing a booth (his idea of purgatory). Those are the kinds of numbers that Comdex used to get (Comdex truly was, of course, indistinguishable from purgatory)...

Whew! I cant believe I am all caught up.

Ally & AJ - My kids will be stoked (but I wont tell them)

We dont have our DOCs yet... I assume its because we used a travel agency (Dreams Unlim).

Gonna finally order the tux online tonight (if the DW is still up to do the measurments).

As far as travel insurance goes. Called access america about their family plan (its no longer on their web site). They want to know what the cost of the trip per adult is... Does disney actually break out the cost of the trip by person? If so where can I find it. The difference in cost of the coverage was fairly dramatic when I went from $4k to $5k per adult. I have never bought insurance for a trip. Anything else I need to know?

I have not seen the maps of the room plans since a while ago when there was just deck 2. Have I missed an update on that one?

And is the final FE count at like 140 rooms?

Finally:
1) Rum, Wine, Juice or water? What's your usual "poison"? And fel free to reply with something other than the basic 4 options offerred here.
Diet Pepsi. Or Coke Zero... I know pathetic. When I want a drink... I like a Midori Sour.

2) If you had a THEME SONG.... what would it be? Alternatively, what was the last TUNE you listened to? Anything Van Halen. I am a big fan of the saong "Cabo Wabo". In fact it was the last song played at my wedding (as we went to Cabo on the honeymoon.
3) What's your favorite reading subject and or material? IE: Fav authors, topics or magazines? Wall St / Financial Stuff

4) Do you have any favorite snacks... any with a trade name?
I love all snacks. I am a sucker for Peanut Butter.
5) What does HAPPINESS mean to you? A question I often ponder....
6) Do you sing in the shower? If so ... tell us what you last sang IF you can recall... Not really. I am a thinker in the shower.
7) Tell us one interesting/odd fact about you. I've been a fan of the World Series for over 20 years... way before it was a cool thing

I believe that is either for a heart attack or other emergency situation. They have to make the announcement shipwide because they don't know where the necessary personel are at that moment and it is the quickest way to alert them. I would think that is the same reasoning for doing that for a fire. The CMs are all trained in fire safety and when they are needed the guest's comfort isn't really a top priority. IMO I would rather have them put out the fire than let me sleep.

We usually pack a few days before we leave, but with the folks here talking about packing...making me nervous sooooo I'll probably start this week:rolleyes1

We haven't actually "packed" anything yet. Put our FE gifts in a box to ship to HoJos and started gathering clothes, that's about it. I don't plan on packing the suitcases until about 4 or 5 days before we leave.

When HSM 1 first came out youngest dd thought they were singing *push it to the lemon* So, we still sing it that way! :lmao:
At just turned 7 she doesn't think it is funny. ;) The rest of us LOVE that story.

He he he.....evil grin.......

About 7 months ago this is what my brother came home to.....this is his breakfast room light fixture.... He had never seen it before...... DS (my brother called our oldest over to help him) said it took quite a while to get it out of the house....

How cool/scary that must have been! Did they ever figure out how it got in?

Close. :) He was trying out a wake board. It is a thin boogie board that you "surf" the wake on the beach as the water goes out. I have only seen one kid who could actually stay on one for more than a second. Most of the teens and older guys fall down quickly.

Yeah,that thing! :rotfl2:

Spoke to Verizon today.

On board cell phone - $2.99/min
Mexico - .99/min
Panama - no service
Columbia - no service
Aruba - 1.99/min
Bahamas - 1.99/min (not sure this will work on CC)

So are you saying Aly & AJ are not coming on the Magic?

Sorry Sil, I meant Ariel is on the Wonder. I was told by JF's spouse that it was Aly and A.J. I, of course, could not get any confirmation from anyone. BUt then again, they wouldn't confirm the engine trouble either! However, she did make it seem as if there were other tweeners entertainment scheduled too.

One thing is for sure - its won't be Bob Saget! :rotfl2: :lmao:

Hope everyone is having a great weekend. Just wanted to let everyone know who might be interested in making t-****'s for Mouseketer night or whatever that Mike's has Jerzees brand t-****'s on sale 5 for $10. That's $2a shirt! Youth and Adult sizes through XL.
Can I get on this info. I am really interested in this. Thank you so much.

I think that the design for the DYS iron-on is on the PZ site. Check the first post on this thread for links to stuff like that. :)

Hey that's not bad. My charges in May (AT&T) were as follows:

Texting - International: 0.50.min
Data Roaming s/a checking e-mailing, blogging, etc - in Aruba for 15 minutes cost me $65. This time, I'm not checking e-mail - texting was ok -

I got phone service in Castaway Cay, Aruba, Panama Canal (made a 20 minute call there and it costs 1/2 of Aruba) and all Mexican ports. Price seems to be about the same. I think that cingular at sea might run me $2.49 or if not - $2.99 sounds about right. However, when the ships signal goes down, so does mine. I can sometimes pick up a land signal if we are close to land which is what I picked up on deck 4 when the engines died. Once some power came back on, I picked up enough to send text messages but no phone signal.
