Disney Adventure Planning Thread

We are booked on the March 19th sailing, and from what I can see this is the first sailing that wasn't cancelled and looks to be the first sailing AFTER the new Maiden Voyage date of the 10th of March. Should I be worried?!?! Has there ever been double pushback of dates? We are going to Singapore for the whole of Canadian spring break, with the cruise in the middle.

The Magic had a double push back of the maiden voyage. I was looking up historical maiden voyage delays when I was writing a strongly worded letter (email) to DCL and that struck me as interesting. They started the cruise line with a double delay, the first time DCL ever made a ship. Now, it's the first time they ever partially made a ship so big. Most of the delays were like a month, if I remember correctly. I think DCL is trying to avoid a double delay by making the new maiden voyage nearly 3 months after the original date.

Our reservation for 13-16th was cancelled, but the 16-19th Mar is still standing apparently. Fingers crossed that one stands as we’re hopefully on the 19-23rd as well now.

My 2 cruises are now officially cancelled on DCL- glad to see the process is now starting to move a little ✅

I'm trying to cancel my two bookings on the Adventure. I was going April 2nd on a B2B but now they are getting cancelled I don't want to risk it happening again and also don't want to sail on the ship being so new. was hoping the teething issues would be sorted by the time we sailed.
We have decided to book a trip to Hong Kong instead and will leave Singapore and the Adventure until 2027

Sorry you are missing out, but I understand the reasoning.

The kids are pretty upset but once I showed them some videos of HK Disneyland they are excited, we also can't wait to visit Ocean Park. The Adventure won't be going anywhere anytime soon so we still have plenty of time, the only issue is my eldest will have aged out of the Oceaneers club which she is most upset about.

I'm trying to figure out if I should use my 50% discount on an Adventure cruise in May or June. I want to make sure to get inaugural cruise merch and basing it on them announcing the inaugural season would last until the end of March (from the original maiden voyage date in December), then June would be the last month for inaugural merch. But that could be too late for items if any sell out.
