Yeah, I booked that time because that's the time we originally had for the DCL dolphin signature swim excursion. I didn't even think about it- just booked it the same time (works around our other excursions that evening- like Ruby teen cruise/etc.) but now I hope we're not late and miss out completely! oh that would be disastrous... it would be yet another cruise still not able to do the ONE that we have to have to have to do! :(
(please Lord don't let that happen again)

Hopefully you'll be fine with your time. I really would have prefered the earlier time, but this way we don't have to worry about rushing around as much in the morning. I would still like to get there as soon as we can, but it can take a while to get these guys going in the morning!

Best of Luck Monica!

We have a 13, 10 and 6 year old and will be doing the same excursions as you in Cabo and Aruba. Like you, we were scheduled for the Cliff Divers, but cancelled to join the group walking to the Fort.

It was hard finding excursions that the whole family can do. We are doing ziplining in PV after Tom showed me this past spring that they allow 6 year olds. At Cartagena, we're doing the Best of Cartagena tour.

Hi Christopher It was fun meeting your family and Russel and Dawn.

I thought I would share my familes Cruise plans so we could see if we are doing any of the same things.

LA comming in on the 15th playing this day by ear. 16th heading to CA then to DL for the day.

Cabo.... James is doing deep sea fishing with friends from our other board.
the rest of us will be doing the 9:30am Costal Highlights Tour

PV.... We are also doing the Ziplining the company we are using is Los Veranos 11:00am whole family except MIL is going to watch. ( is this the same place your family is going.

Acapulco.... 7:00am Dolphin Swim Adventure all except my MIl will again just be watching.

Cartagena....10:00am we are all doing the Delex Cartagena & fortress w/ forklore show

Aruba.... 9:00am we are all going on a privet Charter to Snorkel with 50 of our friends from another board. The ship is called Mi Dushi.
except my MIl will go but wont be snorkle or swining into the ocean on the cool rope swing that Cady caint waite to play with.

I hope we have at least one of the same Activites planed.

After a restful night we woke up Sunday morning to:

Hello All! This is our 1st post, though we have been eavesdropping for years! We are going to be cruising with all of you on the great adventure. We are excited yet slightly apprehensive to jump in to all these posts. You all seem like such close friends, it's a tad intimidating. My DH is Roger and we have two DDs; Brenna 9 and Erin 6. Oh! I'm Melissa.

Thanks for all the tips in the past, oh say 8 or 9 YEARS!!!!!

M brings up a good point. I talked to DCL about the PJ breakfast, and I'm waiting for an e-mail that the 23rd will work well. But what if that's our character breakfast day? Should we plan a backup day for the PJ breakfast, just in case it's the same day?

Opinions?:confused3

Couldn't we all wear our PJ's to Character Breakfast? On second thought that would leave out all of those that have late dining. Never mind. :confused3

:welcome:

we are a friendly bunch of Pirates. Glad to have you aboard.

Just FYI - if you need to fill out a Guest Medical Form - it has to be faxed to them atleast 14 days before the cruise.

I was doing our online check-in and have to send one in - I did not realize it had to be 14 days in advance.

Well that is probably a good thing for us (that we're booked early) because it does take a while to get my family going (um, myself especially -nightowl that I am LOL) BUT it will be easier with an excursion we're trying to make on time- yanno? In other words if we booked it later and just tried to get there earlier to play at the waterpark- probably wouldn't happen. this way we have to get up early and do the dolphins which EVERYONE won't give me a bit of trouble getting them up for that! And then afterwards do the water park. LOL

Doreen:

Thanks in advance for the help! We are doing the OUTDOOR ADVENTURE in PV.. it looks amazing to do and i am trying to get in better health to do this.. is anyone else going onthis one too??

I'm currently signed up for and looking forward to Outdoor Adventure--donkeys, off-roading, zip lines, rappelling...what could possibly go wrong? :)

Finally got the call I had been waiting on last week. I've got a phone interview Wednesday afternoon.
:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: YEA!!! MONICA!!!:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

I think us fellow Leos did take over the boat!!! Mine is the 30th and Arlene and Laura are also Leos.:rolleyes1

Add DH to the LEO List - his 50th is embarkation day.

Ok I have to ask.. What is RASHGAURD?? and should I be concerned with it??

Rashguard: A shirt made out of swimsuit material that keeps you from developing a rash when you pull on your neoprene wetsuit. Lately modified to be sun protection for other watersports.

What do you need these for? I've been thinking that I should call to ask about distilled water, since DH & I both use CPAPs. I know that all of the water on the ship is desalinated, but I don't know if it is the equivilent of Distilled...

You would use them if you are on medicine for medical conditions, wheelchair use and in my case..food allergies. Not sure about the distilled water.

thanks for saying that.... cause I don't think I'm gonna find anything to wear so I was thinking we'd just eat elsewhere on formal nights. :(

I really don't think you need to worry about it - I think "work casual" would be fine - nice pants/skirt and top and no one will look at you twice.

So do you think they overbook- like say the minivans- knowing some people won't show up? I didn't know that you wouldn't be charged or something. How can they book them and then have people not show up for them when they could have rented it to someone else if they'd known you wouldn't be coming to get it?

I think they just upgrade people to the next car up if they run out of the smaller ones. We have often had upgrades so I guess that is why. They probably figure in a "no show" amount of bookings - like the airlines do with over booking seats.

NONONONONONONONO

That's PJ breakfest day...... 23rd just won't do....

Aw heck who up to kidnap the characters? :rolleyes1
....

Sorry. LAP looks like will be 8/28 since I would hope they wouldn't do that while we are going through the PC. :confused3 APL would fall on 8/21. So those days probably won't be available for breakfast in Parrot Cay. Now that is only if DCL follows their traditional logical predetermination for the CB. Lately, you can't seem to trust DCL to be logical so this may just be pure speculation. Savy? pirate:

Welcome aboard - just jump in, we don't bite (unless you ask nicely!) :rotfl:

We used the same code to book a minivan with Avis several months ago. I'm just hoping it's big enough for the 6 of us and all of our luggage. :scared1: I'm also hoping that Avis has enough minivans on hand for all us pirates!

Kim

They are obligated to have them or upgrade us. :) There are some selections that are not available on their site so they do take them out as an option when their supply runs out. I would imagine they have a number of vehicles running back and forth between PC and MCO each day the ships are in port.
