8/17/08 Captain Jack's Repossession Repo Cruise to PC thru TPC #12

It had Engine problems in the Caribbean earlier this year and was late to ports, they did fix it, but I under-sand the Dry-dock in September is a a major overhaul of them.

Someone bring some elastic bands and a donkey.

An extension of the cruise wouldn't be a bad thing but no A/C might not be too nice when we get to the canal.

I really don't think you need to worry about it - I think "work casual" would be fine - nice pants/skirt and top and no one will look at you twice.




I think they just upgrade people to the next car up if they run out of the smaller ones. We have often had upgrades so I guess that is why. They probably figure in a "no show" amount of bookings - like the airlines do with over booking seats.

yeah but.. I don't work and don't have work casual! I have very little that fits me now. I don't have nice pants (and I can't find any either- too short and butt too big I think LOL) but I have capris. IDK if you'd call my shirts "nice" but they'll have to do. I can't afford a new wardrobe. If I get any sideways glances at how I'm dressed, I'll just opt for plan b which is to just avoid the dining rooms. LOL Thanks for the reassurances though.

Hello All! This is our 1st post, though we have been eavesdropping for years! We are going to be cruising with all of you on the great adventure. We are excited yet slightly apprehensive to jump in to all these posts. You all seem like such close friends, it's a tad intimidating. My DH is Roger and we have two DDs; Brenna 9 and Erin 6. Oh! I'm Melissa.

OK, so I know my DH and Esteri both rowed in college, but I don't think the two of them are going to get us very far.

I rowed in college too Had to quit because I broke too many oars, well that and I transferred to Montana where they don't do that much rowing.

What do you need these for? I've been thinking that I should call to ask about distilled water, since DH & I both use CPAPs. I know that all of the water on the ship is desalinated, but I don't know if it is the equivalent of Distilled...

Does this code go in the AWD box, rate code or coupon code. It doesn't seem to accept it as a coupon.

It goes in the first box to the left of the three on the same line as the coupon box.

Last night was Let the Magic Begin as you all know. OK - the Magic has begun but I promise you all - I didn't break the Magic! I had nothing to do with it! She's just not aging as well as we are!

You are on a mission! I am guessing you are asking them how this could affect our cruise too?

OK I know I am becoming a pain, but I am filling in the avis reservation forms... says that the rental office of choice is closed for the holiday. Anyone else having this problem? What did you use as an alternative?

BIP - First, I wouldn't worry about what other people think. You're going on this trip to have a wonderful time with your family. To heck with what a bunch of "strangers" think. You've always got the Pirates at your back. I know I'm fairly new to this board, but everyone seems so open and accepting, I can't imagine wearing the "wrong" shirt to dinner is going to matter to any of us.

However, I do have a bunch of clothes I'm getting rid of. PM me your size, if you don't mind, and I'll tell you if I have anything for you. It's all in my garage right now, so I can wash it and ship it out this week if we think it'll work. I think there are a couple of formal-ish dresses in there too. LMK

The code is fine, i got it from www.mousesavers.com, she does not post bad codes!! My code worked just like yours, it didn't give me a higher price or want a credit card. Don't worry!!

I have no idea why it ended up giving me the higher price but after a phone call and my CC info it is all set. It was worth it for me to call them and do that for the deal.

Ah I see your problem - my Mum is in a similar situation, she hasn't worked since she had me and hates to dress up. She was going to skip the formal and semi-formal nights due to lack of suitable clothing and refused to buy something she'd only wear once or twice. So, I took her to the local $2 thrift store and bingo - "new" pants and with a nice shirt she already had, she's sorted.

I think if anyone is rude enough to comment on what you are wearing, you'd be well within your rights to ask to have them removed from the dining room and thrown overboard! As long as you meet Disney's dress code for the dining rooms then by all means, wear what you are comfortable in.

So yes...we're back. One more trip to go (niece's wedding, great-uncle's funeral in Nebraska) before the TOAL!! At least I'll be busy. But I really need to start packing.


We had a really great time in Vegas. Mostly just chilled. We had a poolside cabana for the day Saturday and were out there from 10 am to 6 pm. Soooo awesome, what an indulgence...but worth every penny & every second of it. I really needed an escape for a bit and it worked!

Great dinner with Todd & Melissa. Todd and I spoke DIS CODE and Melissa and Jay ignored us. After all the mini-meets, they're used to it by now. That's what they get for not DISing. But hey...someone has to make the money to pay for it all!
