talk my ears off all you want.Anyone up late...How is everyone doing? Things are getting in order with the tux ect...I am watching "Phil of the Future" with Aly on the show.![]()
Kids drive me crazy - my DS14 was texting at the wee's hour of the night and he is not suppose too. Gosh frustrating. Took away the phone for the night. Teenagers just don't get it. He kept asking why mom? Cause he has to be up for school band camp and he goes there from 9 to 9 and then he complains to me he is so tired.![]()
I am thinking about getting my nails done. I am been trying to convince DH that I really needed to get them done before we leave. I don't know what I am going to do with my hair during the formal night. I am getting so nervous in a good way. Just don't want to forget stuff. And top of that I am Getting so EXCITED!!!!![]()
I hope everyone is doing well and wishing everyone "Happy Birthday" and "Happy Anniversary".![]()
I am still racking my brain with the FE which is fine, I just have to get somethings for it. Also, getting the magnet door done or try too. I just been so busy with the kids since DD6 started school this week and DS14 has been in band camp all week.
No post cards yet that we have ordered. I just hope they come soon. I am not worried about it yet. But they better get here.![]()
It's suppose to be really "HOT" here in Colorado all this week, which I really love but the heat gets to us sometimes.Might have to go to the pool when DD6 gets out of school. She didn't want to go on the bus today but I made her go on the bus after school. I just hope that she gets on the bus in the morning. She has been just a little nervous about it. I think that she is fine though. Also, today they wouldn't let her off the bus until I got down to the stop. She was way scared cause they said you can't get off the bus until your parent gets here. I was coming and the bus driver saw me but wasn't sure if I was her mom. (which today was the first day). So maybe it will get better. It just scared her a little bit cause they said you can't get off the bus. (she saw me coming).

So, I just hope that she does ok tomorrow.![]()
I hope you don't mind that I burned your ears off. Just kinda need to vent and bored ect..well I probably should go to bed. LOL
Take care,
I'm still up!
I'm seriously getting worried now that my insomnia has progressed from "going to bed in the wee hours of the morning" to "can't go to sleep even when I'm dog tired" sigh......
I'm with you on the band camp thing. Ruby starts that next week (8am to 9pm! with breaks to eat ofcourse) and I'm not looking forward to hearing how hot it is (duh), how tired she is, etc. I'm quite sure I'll have trouble getting her to go to bed at a decent hour too-- just like your son! What is it with 14yr olds? LOL
I hope she's okay but I know how that can be scary! Not next Thursday but the one after we can say "we are going tomorrow!" - woohoo!
Only 11 more work days to go.
One more pay day.
I could go on ...![]()
Bit of a shock this week, Mum went for a general health check and as part of the routine they did an ECG - anyway, it turns out unknown to her, that she has had a heart attack. Not surprising with the death of her sister a few weeks back and the stress that would have put on her. Probably also explains why her blood pressure is a little high.
She's seeing the cardiologist tomorrow but as it was only found while doing a routine check and has had zero symptoms so her doctor isn't very concerned. More of a fluke that its been noticed. There is little she can probably do to change her lifestyle - she is active, a little but not a lot overweight and eats fairly healthily, doesn't smoke and doesn't drink.
I think she'll probably avoid telling the doctor and cardiologist about the thrill rides at Disney following the cruise - just try to stop her doing Tower of Terror and Splash Mountain... I'm certainly not brave enough to try.
Many years ago (Jeff is 40 now... this was probably when he was in his late 20's) during a routine check for work or something- I forget why.... maybe it was for the surgery on his neck? anyway, they did the same thing- and said the same thing- that unbeknownst to him he apparently had a mild heart attack or something. (he wasn't really sure when it happened- couldn't think of anytime except for many years before when he was mopping at work his chest hurt for a few minutes but ofcourse being in his young 20's at the time he thought it was a pulled muscle cause he was mopping- yanno?)
Fortunately he's been fine since...... and it's been atleast 10+yrs.. so just letting you know that's scary but it doesn't necessarily mean really bad things. yanno?

Prayers for her though!
and on another note....
Okay experienced cruisers... have you ever noticed that you take more on your first cruise and less after that when you realized you didn't need to bring everything including the kitchen sink the first time?

I think that's gonna be the case for us.... even though this is a longer cruise! (this time I will wash clothes- so extra clothes isn't an issue)
I even had a small (carryon on size) piece of luggage that still had toiletries, hair stuff, and other misc. items in it SINCE THE LAST CRUISE! most of it we didn't use on the cruise and obviously if we haven't used those items in 2yrs and 2 mo since the cruise- not much chance we'll just happen to need it on the cruise, right?

So I'm paring down the stuff... no unnecessary stuff this time packed "just in case". I need to pack as little luggage as possible because when we go it's just gonna be me and the kids and they aren't much help carrying stuff... especially Rita but really Robert isn't that great or coordinated with the stuff either. DH aka the packhorse (when it comes to luggage atleast! LOL) isn't flying in on monday with us- he won't arrive till Friday! The only other time we've flown somewhere without DH helping with the luggage was on a short me/kids trip to WDW and I tried to pack as little as possible then too- and luggage was still quite a pain since I had to carry/pull most of it myself. The kids are a little bigger now so they can help some- but I still need to limit it as much as possible.
I'm upset though because I can't find this one little box that had some stuff I'd bought on ebay right after our last cruise- and the box of stuff included this bag thing that is perfect for me to carry on the cruise- small but just big enough to carry on our documents/etc.with a water bottle attached (so I don't have to carry it seperate), etc. WHERE OH WHERE DID I PUT THAT BOX WHEN WE MOVED? I swear if it ended up given to Goodwill too.. like the huge box of BRAND NEW packages of kids pool stuff that Jeff took to goodwill when we moved (by mistake) I'm gonna cry. LOL
Okay off to keep trying to find that-since I obviously can't sleep.
but I was wondering if we weren't the only ones that packed WAY too much clothes, stuff, etc. "just in case" (and not wanting to pay high prices for things if we ended up needing them) on the first cruise- and then paring that way way down to a lot less stuff on subsequent cruises?
and just checking to make sure- is most everyone else taking clothes for about half the time of their vacation and washing clothes and rewearing stuff again? Just checking. I can't imagine packing enough for all 5 of us for 21 days... i was planning on packing enough day clothes for about a week- wearing those to DL the week before the cruise, wash those before going on the cruise, and rewearing those on the cruise- and then same with dinner/dressier clothes... and halfway thru the cruise washing everything and wearing it all over again.
So are most people planning on doing wash atleast once and/or wearing things more than once? Or will we be the only freaks wearing the same clothes again the 2nd week of the cruise, the 2nd semi-formal, the 2nd formal, etc.? I hope not!
