Too easy....:rotfl:

Think Titanic or Poseidon Adventure.... (just kidding i think)
I guess I asked for that. ;)

Easy way to tell where your room is...Portside rooms have 0 or 1 as the second number. Starboard rooms have 5 or 6 as the second number. Also to remember which side of the ship is which...abc order. P comes before S so left to right. ;)

I remember Port has 4 letters so it if on the left (again 4 letters). StarBOARD has 5 letters so it is on the right side.

I thought there were quite a few of us on Deck 2. And, although I don't post a lot, I know that we've "talked" before. I'm the green chile addict from Cibola High whose mom lives in Rio Rancho! :)

Kim

Of couse I remember you. How funny all present and formers New Mexicans are on the 2nd deck. :thumbsup2 Terri is on deck 2 and she is the current NM'er.

I would like to thank all of the people offering their verandas for all of us porch less folks on deck 1 and 2 and inside cabins. I do have a counter proposal to offer though. If any of you would like to get a once in a lifetime shot of the actual walls of the locks maybe you could stop by and take a picture out of our window. I mean everyone can get a picture from deck 10 but only us lucky lower deck pirate:s get a view of the actual lock walls. :lmao:

Sign me up Roger.

Dumb newbie question. When I go to get magnetic paper for our signs, do I want Matte or Glossy? Does it matter?

I have so much to do....haven't hardly started anything :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Suddenly, I feel like it will not get done. My husband had knee surgery this week (unexpectedly), and now I am trying to keep the house mellow, and get stuff done, while he lays on the couch. Turning me bitter. :headache:

But, I know it will all get done....even if I miss some things. As long as we have the basics, it will be fun regardless.

Thanks for all of the help over the past few weeks,
Carol

Sorry about your DH's knee surgery!

BIP (and others interested)

Just left Michaels and they have the magnetic picture frames (pouches) in about six or eight different sizes, up to 8x11 all $1.99 each.

Thanks I'll check it out. We had one just open near us. :yay:

Actually, I would want such a picture....

Me too!

Wow that is so cool! :cool1:

I'd hoped to be able to stop by the meet as well, but I have a family commitment. Oh well, it's less than a month before I get to meet everyone so that's not so bad....

While googling "missed connection" this cool image of Bobba fett came up....

Well...

... my travels have just been mildly STRETCHED.... as instead of heading off at 2PM we're now heading off at MAYBE 7:30PM. We're actually driving since the cost for travel is FREE if we take the company car versus about $450 if we pay to fly myself and the kids. I don't know about anyone elses' thoughts... but as a consideration besides cost savings - it takes a comparable amount of time to fly moderate distances. IE, it takes 50-90 minutes to drive TO LAX ... only to check in an hour plus early.... and the opposite almost applies on the other end (SFO) adding the hassel of a rental car plus actual flight time. SO the transit would run about 6-7 hours. Well.... to drive would take 5.5 hours... allowing about 90 minutes for stops enroute makes it the same 7 hours travel time. So long as our kids are OK with sitting so long - which they are from long practice driving moderate distances of 2-3 hours. Plus - I prefer to drive long distances at nite - as it seems to be easier on my eyes.

So this will be 5+ hours tomorrow ... and we'll go in the evening when they're more likely to eventually nap - plus we have our 2 DVD players - plus my Zune so we should be just fine. Alicia will probably nap most of the route - if not busy untangling the conflicts and disagreements between the kids. While I will most likely enjoy the cool melody of Sergio Mendes plus a few other tunes - which probably will include Boston, Oingo Boingo, the GoGos and maybe even some Kealii Reichel! http://www.kealiireichel.com/

At any rate - Dan, we'll miss you - however - you've got a higher calling to attened to - not to neglect the complication of travel in the Bay area. Some folks say our Los Angeles traffic is bad - while I often think traffic elsewhere is worse ... with the Bay area being no exception.

Finally got around to purchasing an underwater camera. Went with the Olympus SW 790 since I do not plan on going down below 10'. It will double as our excursion camera (zipline). I would make a suggestion to anyone that gets one of these. I did not like the hand strap while in the pool, kept feeling like it was going to fall off. So I purchased a neck strap made for a Cannon but will work for any P/S camera. I think this will come in handy while ziplining as well.

Pictures came out good once I color adjusted them.

Tom, have you ever taken the C&O canal ride in Georgetown? You start low and go through a lock and are than level with the pathway. It is kinda cool.:thumbsup2

Sorry you're not happy with your room. But, you have neighbors! We're in 2018 and 2020!

Kim

And more pirates for deck 2 ... 2618 for us and 2620 for our friends. I also swear by the NO elevator rule. Implemented it on our last 7 day and although that first or second trip up to deck 9 from deck 2 was a killer ... by the end of the week it was a piece of cake. Shoot, by the middle of the 2nd week I might even be able to handle a race to the top :rotfl2:

Nicole you are just a couple doors down in 2612

We bring our Bubba Jugs!
That is an interesting name!

My DD has the Magic horn on her Ipod. We all listen when we need a fix.:)
I have that on my phone..makes me jump everytime I hear it (just like on the ship!)

Aren't you the nicest!

Even worse, we're Red Sox fans here, but I like anybody who is a big fan & supports their team! Even if it is our biggest rivals! :rolleyes1

Red Sox fans here too ;) At least this year my youngest has become more tolerant of fans of other teams. On our 2nd cruise, back when you still stood in line in front of the Mickey ears to board, he saw a little boy wearing a Yankee hat standing on the other side of the rope. He turned to me and said, "Eeewww MOM! You don't think he's really a Yankee fan, do you??" Apparently he thought the ropes were sound proof :scared: I said, "Yes, honey I'm sure he is a Yankee fan." The other little boy's Mom heard the exchange. She looked over at me, smiled knowingly and said, "That hat hardly ever leaves his head." :)

GO RED SOX! Fans here as well! Kids are funny....

It's my ring tone....CALL ME....(ok but not at sea :scared: )

Having the DCL horn as your ring tone is a great idea. I have a Mickey ring tone but have to change it when we go to WDW because I am constantly thinking my phone is ringing since there is so much 'Mickey' talk there!:rotfl: The other day in the Disney Store, my DS10 said, 'mom, your phone is ringing'. It was just the Mickey toys!:lmao:

GREAT location!!! We picked 5502 when we booked the room way back when. :) Not very much traffic at all.

Hey--I got your PM. So, we have a daughter the same age, and we are nearly neighbors. I think my daughter will like that. She is a little nervous, as this is her first cruise. She is a science and history buff---so she has read a lot about the Titanic. She has asked me several times what happens if we sink. :scared:

Does anyone know of a site that has any info on the muster stations? I'm specifically looking for which cabins are assigned to which muster station. TIA!

My ringtone is "A Dream Is A Wish Your Heart Makes" and my message tone is the DCL horn
