That's too bad. I've read that people join companies, but leave managers. Sounds like that's coming true for your DH. I don't subscribe to the view that you have to work lots of hours to be effective. When I was a new manager at KPMG, I was in the partner's office late one night and his phone rang. It was his wife who screamed into the phone, "YOU JUST MISSED ANOTHER DAY IN THE LIFE OF YOUR KIDS!" I heard it loud and clear and I usually have a hard time hearing. My oldest was only about 3 months old at the time, and I was quickly becoming a workaholic. My DW even accused me of becoming like that partner. That was the turning point where I decided that there's more to life than a work.

I worked with a great guy a few years ago. I was ribbing him for missing a meeting.
He said to me:
"in my life it's:
Family,
God,
Country,
Work"

Really put things into perspective for me.

Hi all busy day today. This was one of the few days that Cherie and I were both off together before we leave next month. First I got word that my DF was back in the hospital with rule out pneumonia and DM was not well either. They are both OK, just added to our running. We headed out and ended up at DTD having lunch at ESPN Zone. We walked around the hotels to check out the shops and a trip to Disney Store. Found some cool trinkets that will be prizes for the Treasure hunt. We also had to get a couple of Mouseketeer hats and a couple of other things. Did not get to go into the parks but the funny thing was it was not very crowed in DTD at all :confused3 I asked a few CMs and they said it has been like that this summer. Again, I don't know what it was like in the parks.

Well from DTD we headed off to my parents house which is about 10 miles from the port. We had to kill a few minutes so we swung by the DT to get a copy of the menus. I have posted them on the planning board. I talked to a couple of the waiters and again they told me that it would be no problem for 30-40 people for dinner.

Finally got home a couple of minutes ago and feel like I have been at DL all day. Dogs are barken and didn't even walk that much today.

Hope your parents are back on track speedily

Thanks everyone!

I have to ask.....what's with the "I saved a gorilla"?

I like gorillas.

Sounds like your day was much more fun than mine! Oh well, soon enough we'll all be there.

I hope your DM & DF are feeling better today :flower3:

BTW-- it is a fact that over 45 your fat cells double in size! LOL! At least that is what I have read in books on health for women. ;)

Please don't tell me that! I'm not 45 yet and if I'm gonna double in size in a few years........... ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

not good

ugh
Why can't the search for my own posts (or anyone's) really work on this website? I think it's been like 2yrs and it's never worked right. I do a search and it shows me my posts from April of 2006 or some nonsense. I never can find my last few posts.
*sigh*

So anyway......... link again about the banners and/or more info on it please? (stacey --help?)

ALL Right - someone please take this curse off me. I've been typing since 9 last night and so far my computer as shut down twice and lost my e-mails numerous times. Add to that the fact that I must get up in a couple of hours.

OK I give up! I'm going to bed. I now only have 7 e-mails to send off. Forgive me those that are still waiting. I think my laptop's just too hot. Its almost 4:30 am and I need some rest so I will try and send the rest off before my appt in the afternoon.

In the meantime, I get to sit back and giggle at the expressions I'm imagining on your faces when you get or do not get you SMs. :lmao: Sorry - don't mean to be mean but I'm tired and getting giddy so I know that I have to go off to bed. I'm just getting silly now.

Sorry you 7 folks, just wanted you to know what has happened.

:wave2: off to catch some :cat:

Well in the show and tell mode....here's what we have for everyone's FE:

The inscription sez:

These are cool!! My FE gift is more geared towards the adults in our crowd...............Thats all I'm sayin! I am so glad we finally signed up for the FE, kids are getting excited about it too............they are looking for something more "kid oriented" to give out.

I do have the fish extender all finished, just need to personalize it with our name. I want to embroider it on my machine but that would require me to have time to sit down and do it

We had a swim meet last night but got stormed/rained out at event 20. DD had only swam her Back Stroke so tonight we get to do it all over again. She will swim butterfly, breast and her freestyle tonight - last meet is next week

I have gone into high gear for trip planning and I am creating my own spreadsheet, I am using pdarrah's spreadsheet as a guide so thanks to PDarrah for posting!!

Everyone have a great Thursday!

That's it - I'm done for - I can do no more - if I missed anyone - I will double check tomorrow night - I'm going to bed! :cat:

OK, lost my multi-quotes due to computer doing its auto-sutdown thing again:

Thanks, Tracy, for answering my money question! I'm soooo glad that I won't have to bring all that cash for the different excursions along the way.

Thanks, Esteri, for answering the Rit Sunguard question in such detail! I like to use it on all the vacation clothes since my STs are so bad about sun lotion.

And a BIG thanks to Esteri and her crew for the great job on our pirate gear!
