6:30! I was hoping for 6:00, but I'm going to let them know that I still want to try & make our 8:00 dinner. Not that I'll tell them to rush, but I don't want them to draw it out for our benefit! We have to go to our regular dinner though, because we have kids & they won't want to miss out on the first night nor eat without us.

I won't interfere with your romantic dinner, but if you see a big bald guy & his not so petite wife with somewhat curly hair...give us a wave!

You won't be interfering to say hi. We'll be the ones that look like they can't leave each other's sides. Hopefully we'll have those silly contented grins that newlyweds get.

OK the most disturbing thing is happening to me.
I work from home and keep the tv on as background noise but it is behind my computer armoire so I cannot see it. I was working yesterday and heard an ad that started with "I am Bryant Herzog..." I about flipped out of my chair. This is the Dr. that I feel was extremely incompetent with my oldest DD birth. Did not hospitalize me when I was 20 weeks pregnant, dialated to a 2 and 50% effaced in active labor-and we were down the hall from the OB ward IN A HOSPITAL!!
Apparantly the med spa biz is better than being a OB (especially if you stink at it). It just brings up so many painful scary emotions. If it was on the same time I would just turn in the radio.
Hopefully he won't get any business and will not be able to afford the ads for very long.

Thanks to all who wished me luck. I got an email from my travel agent (who is leaving on vacation for 2 weeks) who assured me they do this all the time and it is not unusual (well, it is unusual for me). Also since my tickets where booked through DCL they will make it good. I am not worried about getting to the port in time as long as we make the connection. So pray for fair weather and a smooth flight that gets in on time or even early...and that this Pooh sized lady can make it to the next terminal in a hurry dragging a backpack filled to the rim with medication and clothes...and my FE and gifts and door magnets. You know the important stuff.

So I am taking a deep breath and just leave it in the good Lord's hands. I swear I have been good, not great but pretty good.

Will be praying for you Terri.

Anyway, I did not get far. I called DCL & they say I can NOT book this ahead of time. I will gladly go to shutters as soon as they open & speak to the manager & try to set up a time, hopefully for the afternoon of PC day & then stick an invite on everybody's fish who is listed on the Pirate Roster. Does that sound feasible?

Well I told my oldest about the age thing and how she probably won't be able to get in the OC age group..... she's not happy. She started in with she won't have any fun, she doesn't want to just stand or sit around talking to older teens she wants to do FUN STUFF, and she guesses she'll have to spend the entire time laying by the pool and oh what fun (being very sarcastic) that will be. whine whine pout pout out
*sigh*
But atleast now she's forewarned it may not happen. I told you guys she's not into hanging out with older teens and doing things they want to do- she's like an 8-10yr old in a oh.... about 12-13yr old body (yes she's short too LOL Well duh..... look at her mom! LOL)

Talked to Rita about the possibility she can't get in the club or really was asking her what she'd prefer before warning her she couldn't get in the club if she wanted to. First words: which one is Claire in? then when I told her which one Claire was in (club) and which one her brother was in (lab) by holding out my hands (left hand for club/right hand for lab) she pounded my right hand like crushing something in my right hand and said crush bubba, I don't want to be where he is!

I told you those two aren't getting along too great lately...... too much time together this summer and something about their ages this summer. She used to play with Robert more than Ruby but this summer it's been her hanging with her sister and not getting along with her brother at all (or hanging with her friends who come over to swim or spend the night- most of which aren't quite 8 yet, or playing with the 5yr old next door neighbor boy who's taller than her LOL)
I'll just say a little prayer that whatever happens that it works out..... and if she's in the lab with her brother say an extra little prayer for the counselors. LOL

Thomprod's DD is being a jewel emailing Miranda encouraging her to come to the Kids Club.

What do you think the odds are that I can get on the Canyon Canopy Adventure on the ship since I am solo?

How could you do Dolphin Trainer or a day in PV? That's what we'd originally planned (me with Ruby doing trainer for a day, DH scuba diving) but it wasn't available to do it so we picked signature swim instead!

Wow...home from a long day (long for me..I haven't walked around so much plus it started out a little stressful)

This morning DD had a dentist appt. You would think no big deal but we have not had much luck with dentists when she was smaller..one even yanked her head sideways when she didn't open wide anough when she was 4..anyways..she stresses out big time..we went and no worries! Teeth cleaned ---well behaved and no cavities Of course..it cost me a Webkinz (we always got to pick something out if we were good at the dentist and had no cavities) I know... spoiling the child but we are lucky that at 11 1/2 - she has never had a cavity.

Went over to my Mom's who just had her house painted and part of it was peeling off..had to deal with the contractor...and then set off for the Mall... I am not a big shopper but knew there were things we needed to get.. the first 3 items on my list..couldn't find anywhere...it eventually got better.. I found what I wanted for DH as a gift for our VR/anniversary gift...DD found another gift for her SM (this cruise can't come fast enough!) and a hair clip for her dress for our VR...so it worked out.

Glad the dentist went well!
My oldest two are fine but my youngest has had all sorts of teeth issues (inherited her father's teeth... which his atleast aren't as bad as his father's! Jeff's father had false teeth by the age of 24! He's 40 and still has most of his teeth LOL) and we had to take her to a pediatric dentist that would let us be with her/etc. She still goes there and still gets anxiious- she's had a LOT of work done on her teeth and even a front tooth pulled (over 3yrs ago..... permanent tooth still hasn't come out! She's been missing a front tooth for over 3yrs LOL)
I guess I'll probably still be buying her webkinz for a good dentist visit when she's 11 too- that's only a few years away! LOL

Thank you!!! I've been looking to change our Palo reservation. We had the last night (CC Day) but I really didn't want to go the last night. Now we changed it to the first night. Still not ideal, but we're still going to our regular dinner too & maybe saving dessert for then. I think by the end of the cruise we wouldn't be as excited about MORE FOOD!

Of course if a 6pm opens up on a sea day, I'll be happy to change again!

We are going the first night too, I feel the same way not ideal, but hoping I can change once we get on. We have a 7 pm ressie. I actually had to book it as 2 parties of 2, so when I get on I want to see if they can seat us together. The girls have never been, this is the first time they are both old enough to go.

Also, I'm doing a little catching up, so know I know you will post the info on your door for the picture. Thanks Diane.

I always laugh when I see someone post this..I have been on 3 Disney Cruises and they have never announced our name...I am not sure why..i know the first one, everyone was a little scattered from a hurricane but I dont know on the other two. Hopefully they will this time!

I sure need it tonight! Geez what a day. It started with going out to lunch where the service was poor (we're used to that in this town though). Then we took DD to have blood drawn for allergy testing... Apparently no one knows how to draw blood on a 1yr old so they missed in both arms and then ya know moved the needle around try and find the vein. They got NO blood... We made them stop when she was alternating between holding her breath till she was blue and hyperventillating!

Then DH took my car to the nursery and Home Depot 45 minutes away. He calls me because the alarm is going off and he can't disarm it or start the car or anything....

Think I'll head to Pirate chat after DD goes to bed





I called DCL directly and they verified all of my OBC for me (even from the TA).

Poor baby, I hope she's ok

Anyway, I can't believe I am finally caught up, just spent almost 3 hours reading (and as you can see responding) to the over 40 pages from yesterday.

DD 18 is on her way back from WDW. As always, plane is delayed from MCO. They were supposed to leave at 8:16 and arrive at 10:47 and they are just boarding now. She went with one of her friends for 5 days. So they tell them that they are having problems with the air sensor indicator and they are going to try to fix it with the computer, if they can't, then it will take more than an hour, yadda yadda yadda. WTMI. I mean now I am a nervous wreck, and she is not the best flyer and it is the first time without her family. So let's see if they get in the air by 10:30, they should be getting to Newark by about 1 AM, by the time they get their luggage....all I know is it's a long night.

It has been hotter than anything here in the city, I think it was hotter here today than Orlando.

Closing my store at the end of the month, so it has been a little hectic, but I will be spending much more time here for the next four weeks. Once August 1st comes, I can really start getting ready for this trip. I need to make at least 1 door sign, I think I will use my Cricuit. Also, for all of you scrappers, I have a few sheets of pirate paper left that I am bringing to share, as well as any cruise embellishments and some other Disney stuff I have in the store to share with you!
