I ditto that! Very good info. Thanks so much.

I have the advantage of the time change. I am already a morning person, plus I get 2 extra hours in theory! The only problem is that I will probably found sleeping in my soup at the dinner table because we usually choose to eat dinner at about 7 or 8...so, I win a little, I lose a little. :)

Congrats on post 1000!

Go you!

Hi Debi! I was sorry to read that you're closing your store.

Were they really good? DH and I are heading to Rhode Island tomorrow to see them in action at an air show on Saturday...actually I should say DH will see them, I'll be reading a book and listening to my Ipod.

We leave in exactly 49 days (not that I'm counting or anything:rolleyes1).

Lorri,

Yes, they were quite good - I really did enjoy it.

Debi

Grandmom G passed away this morning.

I don't know which is worse... being at a funeral or having to play nice with my almost non-existant dad...:faint:

So sorry to hear of your loss! I will say a prayer for you all. I am also sorry for your situation with your dad. I lost my dad three years ago to brain cancer. He was only 55 and left behind many many people who loved him dearly!!!!! It makes me sad (for you) when I hear of situations like yours because life is so short! I hope you have a good visit with family...take care!

I actually think all parents of small kids on DCL should be upset about the other thing they did. I could not believe that while they were out there, one of the counselors yelled "Shark bite!!!!"....which had all the kids running and screaming like madmen.
Now really....you're on a cruise, your excursions may possibly place you & your child in the ocean....and some counselor freaks them out ahead of time????

Hi Stace,

I have heard you mention this concern before, but it is a common game that many many children play. My kids have done it at summer camp, soccer practice, Little League practice, Girl Scouts etc. So they are probably used to it and won't even worry about real sharks because of it. :) :)

Thanks for all your concern about my darlingGD Genevieve.  Her fever finally came down but she is still very weak.:worried: Still no appetite but I think on the road to recovery.::yes:: I think I am not eating at all while in Mexico!!!!!!!!!!!!!:headache:

Actual Cruise Question!

How many of you are bringing a laptop?

Now back to your regularly scheduled chatting.

Glad to hear she's getting better.

Just be very choosy with the dining locations. DH was in Honduras for a couple of weeks for work :scared1: and had no problems. They just picked upscale looking eating establishments in the nicer hotels. If it looks like a shady place, it probably is! And they made sure to get well cooked food. Though he never drank the water or even used it for brushing teeth! Are there any of our stops where we can't take food off the boat? Like if we grab a sandwich or something? How about filling our Camelback with water before we disimbark?

I booked my room for the July 12 meet! Got a great rate. Can't wait to see everyone in Chicago.

Okay we have Nicole,Poohmomof5.........Tina,Downrivermama........Tracy, winotracy......Susan.geffric, me,micmse2003, and Pamela, pdarrah......All ready and accounted for!!:yay:  :yay: :cool1: :yay:

Anyone else out there lurking in the midwest(Illinois,Iowa, Missouri, Wisconsin, or Iowa....please pm my self or pdarrah!!!

We're undecided so far! We don't want to carry it, but would probably like to download pics as we go so that we have it somewhere other than just on the camera... My dad lost all of his WDW pics on their very first trip last year :(

Bringing one to download pictures and so the boys can watch movies in the room (they tend to be a bit shy and their favorite activity is eating room service!)

Well go easy on the posts the next two days....

Grandmom G passed away this morning.

Funeral is on Friday. I promise to wave if we pass Aston area on the way home. (although it is way easier and less traffic to come home by way of Harrisburg)

I don't know which is worse... being at a funeral or having to play nice with my almost non-existant dad...:faint:

I'm so sorry to hear this, Kristina.

If I had one I probably would be bringing it....in a way I am glad I don't have one....the outside world will have to do with out me for a little bit!:rotfl2:

So no laptop here....

Lets see headaches, diarrhea, constipation, rashes, athletes foot, blisters, and after dinner "I shouldn't have had that second piece of cake" concoction, I think that covers it. I will start a tread on the planning board for a more detail descriptions.

Thanks for the list. I'm always afraid that I'm going to forget something, and it's going to be the one thing I end up needing. I was wondering if I should bring some Airborne. Has anyone ever used it? Does it work?

Will be bringing mine for checking email, communicating with home, blogging and downloading pictures.

We are bringing the laptop to download pictures and movies, as well as so I can write my trip notes (before I forget the details), watch DVDs, listen to music, etc.

Cheryl, sorry to hear about your DGD. Glad to hear she is doing better.

Mike and Roger, got to love those ginger pills, but do they help with seasickness? I can have a sentitive tummy sometimes. Pepto Bismol is my all purpose fix. You know "heart burn, upset stomach...".

WOW, there is still so much to do and so little time. Just when you think you are so organized you realize how much there is to do. But as long as I have clothes on my back and all my important documents everything else I can buy or "pirate". pirate: I am having those Disney nightmares too. DH left for the cruise without me!:furious: He couldn't understand why I was so mad at him when I woke up.:lmao: :confused3 :lmao:
