Well go easy on the posts the next two days....

Grandmom G passed away this morning.

Funeral is on Friday. I promise to wave if we pass Aston area on the way home. (although it is way easier and less traffic to come home by way of Harrisburg)

I don't know which is worse... being at a funeral or having to play nice with my almost non-existant dad...:faint:

Very sorry to hear this Kristina. Please accept our condolences. I just went through the same thing with my GM's passing in December. It was very hard on us, but we were able to take comfort in the fact that she was finally at peace. We'll keep her and your family in our prayers.

Ummm Todd...

I have good pirate news and bad pirate news...

The good news is that i haven't been fired YET... (and have soooo kept off the internet)

The bad news... Due to said threat above.... there no way i can sink the kind of money i'd need to put together a Giselle costume. You may just have to settle on a regular piratey wench. But i do have nice boots.

Oh...boots...OK.

Carry on.

I can vouch for that!!!! Todd was awesome on the Med Repo! And Melissa & Destin & Monica made it even better - I can't wait to see the "Grand Entrance"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now - DH Paul wants to know Todd - if there will be another entrance for the late (traitor) dining? He thinks it's only fair to treat them to the "Grand Entrance" also !!!!!! Gather together after everyone is more or less at their tables - then do a March Through the Dining Rooms !!
(BTW - what did you do to him?? He is so into this character & costume - LOL!!)

Hmmmm , I guess we need to parade into traitors dining as well ....Im good with it ..... Just need to make sure everyone else will be as well ....Remember the mass Pirate picture at 7:45 pm ...or at least thats what I am shooting for ...me and Barbossa can fight over the mickeys wheel ..lol

ATTENTION PIRATES!
Anyone interested in joining the crew for a day of protecting the rum, please sign up on the planning boards. If we all take turns, we can cover all 15 bars onboard! (ok maybe there's not fifteen but we'll need several volunteers for each deck. ;)

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

you know ole jack will have some hidden somewhere ..lol

Todd - man do you have a compadre - Paul has this vision (as from one of the scenes from one of the movies) - of all of you moving together as if moving to a cadence - Lori & I will just follow along as faithful bodyguards!!!LOL :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Oh Cheryl -

So sorry about your granddaughter - my prayers are w/you.

Names - to my DGS Matt - all the grandmas are "mama" - because that's what I say to my dogs - "oh - mama's good dogs" - etc. referring to myself. I guess he figured that was grandma's name. So all grandmas (including steps) are "Mama"!!

Hey folks .. just wanted to announce that we got a ROOM!!! Okay, well I guess we won't be sleeping in the lifeboats. They were getting pretty cozy . ..LOL. We'll be in Room 2108! Yeah! DH is happy that we're in the back of the ship and not way forward. Personally I am just happy to be on the ship at all.

Today was tough b/c the contract for our house fell through. I'm sure there is someone else out there that will love our house. Just ready to get this move over with.

It's been fun reading about all the scrapbookers. I did one book of our last cruise and I'm looking forward to doing this one, too. DH and the DSs LOVE reading thru the books and showing them to others. Really helps us remember those great memories!

Have a terrific night!

Theresa 8-)

Theresa, sorry about the contract on your house. AWEsome news that you got a room assignment--made me go check mine, but no luck:)

Considering how rough DCL's toilet paper is.....Preparation H

Unfortunately for him, no.

The 80's were good to me. My friends spent hours fluffing their hair - I rolled out of bed. :lmao:

REQUEST FOR OUR PHARMACIST & ALMOST PHARMACIST

What OTC medications are you packing in your first aid kit??

I have the usual - tylenol, dramamine, benadryl, blah blah blah
I'm just wondering if there is anything special I should think about packing for the locations/climate we are traveling through & I would guess I'm not the only one.

I have been planning on bringing this subject up for a while now.

Here's our packing list for our "First Aid Kit" so far. I'm sure we'll come up with some other things.

First Aid Kit
Rx Meds
Excedrin Tylenol and Motrin which works extremely well for sunburn
Sea Bands
Ginger capsules Us too works great for all of us
Aloe
Tums I personally would go for Mylanta/Maalox
Pepto BismolDrug of choice for Montezuma's revenge
ImodiumNever travel to Mexico without it
Gas-ExValuable addition since we will traveling in crowds
ColaceVery good for traveling may add Senokot/Dulcolax
Hand sanitizer
Sudafed We bring this and Benadryl to make our own cold meds
Cough medicineAnything without codeine really does not work well
Cough drops
ZyrtecI would stick to Benadryl
BenadrylMost valuable med for allergy, rashes, sedation
Benadryl creameither this or add some hydrocortisone cream
Benadryl stick
Band-aidslots of these for blisters on excursions
Moleskinsee above
Small scissors
Tweezers
Eyeglass repair kit
Visine definitely
Fungal cream
Earplugs
Neosporin We will have packets

Lets see headaches, diarrhea, constipation, rashes, athletes foot, blisters, and after dinner "I shouldn't have had that second piece of cake" concoction, I think that covers it. I will start a tread on the planning board for a more detail descriptions.

Kristina,
I'm sorry about your loss.
We recently lost my father-in-law and he suffer from Alzheimer's - it was sad to lose him - but he was already lost to us and really to himself. He was often agitated as he had problems placing everything/everyone in his life. He frequently introduced DH Paul as his shipmate from WWII as I guess that was where he was in his mind.
I miss the man who was - I miss his smile -his marvelous sense of humor - his gentle caring self. But, honestly - seeing how he was at the end - I was relieved he found peace.
I hope it was the same for your grandmother. Cherish the memories. (ignore your dad - he's probably suffering in his own way also)

Well, no way I will ketchup. But I did pretty well this evening. You all have a nice evening:goodvibes

Hey Gang -

I went shopping today w/DGkids for clothes for DGS Jack for our Mex Riv cruise this Sunday.

Wow - its only days away - here I am planning for August and YIKES - I'm leaving in a few days!!! (This SUNDAY)

BUT - the best part (did I mention that I HATE shopping???!!) - I found a lovely formal - for this cruise and OURcruise!! My DGD Melissa is awesome - we went to Macy's and she spots this dress and says - Grandma this is You - go try it on - and it was perfect. I have a shopping buddy!!

I mentioned the "Grown-Up Princess Night" - and she's all excited about finding a dress for me - however, I did tell her that I am a Queen not a princess. She agreed - but said that makes the shopping more challenging!
She said I'll need more Bling and more than just any old Tiara!! I'll need a crown - okay I think she was getting carried away!!
It's getting late and I've got to pack & clean the house and - oh and everything!!

P.S. - Is there anything I should be checking out in Cabo? or Puerta Vallarta? I know Stacey was just there - but ??
