Well go easy on the posts the next two days....

Grandmom G passed away this morning.

Funeral is on Friday. I promise to wave if we pass Aston area on the way home. (although it is way easier and less traffic to come home by way of Harrisburg)

I don't know which is worse... being at a funeral or having to play nice with my almost non-existant dad...:faint:

Kristina....my thoughts and prayers will be with you and your family.

Hi Stace,

I have heard you mention this concern before, but it is a common game that many many children play. My kids have done it at summer camp, soccer practice, Little League practice, Girl Scouts etc. So they are probably used to it and won't even worry about real sharks because of it. :) :)

You mean they play that like "Duck, duck, goose"?? Okaaay....I'll trust you on that. I guess I'm just getting old....don't know the new games. ;)

I'm still deciding. I took mine this last trip, to check out the WiFi from our room and it was really good. I know that I need to have it to stay in touch with my husband and kids....I just hate the thought of carrying it.
But....I got a new backpack on eBay...with wheels...so when it comes I'll see how that works for hauling the laptop and then decide. I hate too much weight on my shoulder from its regular bag, and can't pull 3 bags. I'll have two large wheeled suitcases as it is. If the backpack isn't too heavy, then I can put the backpack on my back just while I have to wheel my big bags.

Geeze....are you sorry you asked????

If the whole family was coming and could be my mules, I would definitely bring it without a doubt. But they aren't so I have to plan more.

Wow...practically have my own page. Guess everyone is working!

Cheryl, I'm glad your DGD is feeling a little better. More prayers for her appetite and strength!!
We ate in a lot of questionable spots in Mexico and did okay. We just didn't drink anything but bottled water.

Off to take my smaller vehicle to the dealer. The A/C is broken. Thank heavens I shelled out for the extended warranty. Guaranteed to pay for itself on this one.

Later...have a great day, everyone!!! :sunny:

How are the Macbooks?

(i am a mac girl) My mom wants to get a lap top and I want her to get one (because I can help trouble shoot if anything happens) but they are more expensive than the PC....

Love love love love love love love me macbook , did I tell ya that I love my mac book :lmao: :lmao: . No honestly , last year we were waiting for one of our computers to crash so we could convert and it finally happened around Christmas time :badpc: ...Not really crashed but got sick of all the windows BS and we finally converted to all Mac , so SM and and I got Imacs for the house and a macbook for travel ... I love the simplicity of Mac ..and with that said with the new Iphone coming out July 11th needless to say that we are converting to that as well ...cause now with me.com everything will be synced and all information from computer to phone can be accessed anywhere in the world .... Which works great for us ... What can I say I am a huge Apple fan now

I hate to break it to you but, if she is 57" she will be 5ft in 3". ;) 5' = 60"

I was thinking the same thing

Sitting in MCO ......

As I was going through security (have I mentioned how much I hate MCO security) I started thinking of how many of us would be passing through here in about 2 months, exhausted, sad yet exhilarated and energized.

MCO Security - has a line for "experienced travellers - fly 2 or more times a month, has items out, etc....." It took twice as long as if I had got in the "families and people needing help"

Wanted to try to see Coral over at DTD, but the project I'm on had us working from 8am till 5:30 pm then I had to catch up with my job, etc. and transportation in Orlando is outrageous, cab/shuttle to DTD from my hotel was $30 + tip each way.... just couldn't justify it, especially given that the hotel I'm in has no affordable meals, etc. (Hamburger & coke = $25). Needless to say, I consumed my per diem in beer. This trip is a bit costly!
:scared1: :scared1:

Sorry Coral I will definately meet up with you in August.

Hey Tom, you should've let us know you were in town.

I am actually truthfully honestly bringing my own toilet paper for 14 days. Really.

Umm we bring the flushable wipes. DH is spoiled :rotfl:

K sorry to hear of your loss.

Don't you just love it when you hear from the Orthos office that the request for the shots for DHs knee was denied. And isn't it even more irritating when you call all the insurance providers and they haven't even seen the request. I figured I would cover all the bases before I give them a call.:furious: I don't like the staff at this office one bit.He is temporarily renting rooms in a radiology office til the new building is built and they are the worst airheads.Sorry about the rant.

I tried to see if I could print the Entertainment Coupon online for the Peterson Automotive but you do need to have the book. Sorry.

ATTENTION PIRATES!

Anyone interested in joining the crew for a nightly The Wheels on the Bus sing along outside Stace's door just after last call, please sign up on the planning boards. If we all take turn, we can cover all 15 nights!

I went to go sign up, but couldn't find the thread??

"THE PIRATES ON THE BOAT GO "YO HO HO, YO HO HO, YO HO HO"

Can we sing this one instead?

ATTENTION PIRATES!
Anyone interested in joining the crew for a day of protecting the rum, please sign up on the planning boards. If we all take turns, we can cover all 15 bars onboard! (ok maybe there's not fifteen but we'll need several volunteers for each deck. ;)

Couldn't find the sign up for this one either...

Nope. Thanks for the answers. I was think of bringing mine (haven't traveled with it before). I was thinking of blogging to my land lubbing co-workers, who have lived through my cruise mania for so long!

Now another question. My laptop is Wi Fi ready, what do I need to do to use it on the cruise? Do I need to get anything? I know someone will know!:thumbsup2

Thanks to Roger and Mike for the first aid list. DD swears by Neosporin and band aids!

Glad you reminded me! We took our own last time to WDW to avoid their sandpaper TP. We had an almost 3 week trip and had to go buy more TP after getting food poisoning from a restaraunt on property that shall be nameless :scared1:

Umm we bring the flushable wipes. DH is spoiled :rotfl:

Hahaha we use wipes too... Figure it's good enough for DD...
