We'll be wearing ours too. Just makes packing easier. More of a pain in the airport now having to take them off, but it's worth it.

This morning we are off to Chicago for a DISUnplugged Meet We're heading down there a bit earlier because we're going to meet Cheryl & John I haven't been to the Woodfield Mall in more than 20 years, I wonder if it has changed any Going to the Doorway to Dreams DVC store. Can't wait!!! Cheryl, I have cheese curds and mozzarella whips for you

Tell Cheryl I said Hi!!!
From what I read in the paper one day, there is a A&W fast food store near me that serves fried Cheese curds. One day I will get enough nerve to try them.Cheryl said she had them on her last cruise.

Work today. I pulled something in my back Thursday morning and it is still an annoyance. Hope this goes away soon. It is a real pain!!!

Due to the fact that this is a very lively, talkative bunch, I cannot seem to find the post with the listing of the Crew (Late) Dining group. I know lat I saw it, Caropooh & I were seated with Disfreaks and family (who we met last night). But I would like to know who is who and with whom. I also could not find this on the website. Can anybody help>

Better not show these to my DS. He's been bugging me for dive lessons.

Your's is probably old enough to take the group lessons. DS11 had to take private lessons because of his age. Spendy. Though it was his money to spend - yeah - we made him pay for it himself. We supported him with a donation worth about 1/3 of the cost, and all my old gear (great excuse for me to get new! ) But the rest came from him.

In any case, having done it - I see why they don't want anyone under 12 in the group classes. He definitely needed to 1:1 to be successful. He'll be a better (= safer) diver for it. So it was worth the extra $$.

You know, as more and more folks are being assigned cabins - it'd be helpful to have a single "master" place we tell, that all the other committee chairs pull from. Otherwise, something's going to get missed for sure.

We had a lot of fun (well Caropooh's DSis was at a loss most of the night as she isn't cruising with us and hasn't been to WDW in many years) meeting and talk (and talking and talking) with Disfreaks & Family and A Little Pixie Dust and DD. DD14 spent most of the drive home texting Disfreaks DD.

I'll try to post some of the shark fishing pics later. I haven't loaded them into Shutterfly yet. They caught a 5ft Bull shark and about 20 others and 2 stingrays. They had a ball. Adam wants to go again on Tuesday, but unless he pays--he is gonna be out of luck. I'll pay for 1 trip a vacation.

We've had a discussion going on the Pirate Zone regarding a kid's meet. I have created a separate thread for sign ups.

Here are some guidelines on how this will work. More details will be worked out in a few weeks.

Each child will bring postcards to trade with the other kids. Please bring enough for each child to recieve a postcard.

Postcards can be store bought or homemade. Dollar stores sometimes have postcards, as well as Target, Wallmart, Walgreens, etc. You can also use print services such as VistaPrint.com, Snapfish.com, Shutterfly.com etc.

Please put your child's name and age on each postcard. You can also include a mailing address or email address.

The exchange will take place on the 1st sea day (2nd day of the cruise). A time and location has not yet been determined.

Age is not the issue, it's the money. I'm pretty sure he'd love it. The kid is in the water any chance he gets. But we don't take many vacations where he could dive. So I'd spend the money and then he wouldn't use the skills or the gear.


I think you need to give your cabin number to K or Cheryle depending on your dinning time.

Oh Boy Monica!

What a wonderful idea!

I'd like to add our two daughters to this activity! They are ages 4 and 7! Can you add us on please!

And I must confess ... I've not visited much lately. The heat wave we've had here in SoCal has been PUNISHING ... and we sort of got side tracked and all. Anyways ... I'll try to get around to catching up soon. Starting with a current posting and working my way backwards probably ... tonite most likely too.

As for now... it looks like we're gonna run into town for a Chinese Brunch of sorts called DIM SUM [pictured above]. Dim Sum - for those who may not be familiar - is like Chinese BRUNCH ... only SUSHI style - alacarte with shrimps hand wrapped, seasoned pork wrapped in egg flour, litely sweet pastries, steamed buns stuffed with sweet pork (Cha-sell), and really ... an endless variety of small portions that are served from steam carts which are brought to your table for visual consideration. At the better (pricey) restuarants - some of the dishes are cooked at tableside. YuM!

Then we'll swing by Disneyland for a spell. I figure with fuel prices being so high the crowds might be a little less than normal. If not... and the crowds are BAD then we'll just sort of make a short dayof it and do other things in the afternoon.

OK... I gotta get going now ... our traveling snacks are alrready packed ... the kids dressed properly... and the double stroller in the trunk. TTFN!
