We've had a discussion going on the Pirate Zone regarding a kid's meet. I have created a separate thread for sign ups.

I sent an update. Though, she's got my DCL#, which I'd think would trump my cabin.

Age is not the issue, it's the money. I'm pretty sure he'd love it. The kid is in the water any chance he gets. But we don't take many vacations where he could dive. So I'd spend the money and then he wouldn't use the skills or the gear.

Ah well, it probably doesn't make much sense then. Though, DS11's dive instructor was espousing the joys of Monteray and Catalina Island. They sounded very nice - if a bit chilly.

OK, call me confused! The list that Cheryl posted last week had the late diners broken up into tables.(I thought) Is that not what it was?

The dining divas have not started on table assignments yet but if you put in a request to sit with someone they will take that into consideration while assigning tables.

I was thinking I might do the gym too, but that means I'd have to pack sneakers. I never wear them any other time and they take up a lot of space!!

I wear Keen's like these, and have them double as my excursion/water/beach shoe. Even with my bad feet, they are really comfortable and supportive.

You know, as more and more folks are being assigned cabins - it'd be helpful to have a single "master" place we tell, that all the other committee chairs pull from. Otherwise, something's going to get missed for sure.

Well, for anyone participating in the FE, I will keep updating the list with cabin numbers as people PM me with their assignments . . . others could take from that list . . . and if someone is not on the FE list but wants to be on the roster, there is a list going for that on the pirate zone.

I have an Intermediate booked with Avis for $44 total. Kristina got an SUV (not sure with who) for $30, but I don't think the discount she used is good anymore.

Yes, My rental is with Thrifty....I actually am holding two of them. (forgot to cancel one of them)..Wonder if i can change one of them over to "my brother's" name (yea...my brother)

It's a Jeep Liberty or similar... They're a little smaller than my CRV but ok for just DH and I.

I have a Jeep Liberty from Thrify from the port to MCO for $50.I understand Thrifty has a shuttle from the port to their in town location...

They're shuttle works just great...Get right on the shuttle row at PC. The office is only just past where the Budget office is.

The attitude has basically been, get your job done and we will avert our eyes "at the proper moment" (ok, who knows the movie the line is from? )

Could be one of the Ocean's movies?... Thirteen perhaps... or was it used in several of them.

No not tables, it's just that some folks have already linked with a few families. Those are the groups that Cheryl had together. Those groups may end up filling one table or they may be put at a larger table with others.

Yes I am used to being a pain in the butt. ( or having one) this time in the belly, twice today,and every day till monday, Tiger Woods is playing 18 holes on me on Monday.

Hey are those Lovenox shots? You're right on those..... They do hurt....

I had those in 07 after my surgery for a whole month..... I think the trick is to keep rotating around your Belly button to find a spot that isn't bruised yet.

Good morning all!! We are still at DVC Hilton Head until Wed. (Internet here is the pits though!) It is so beautiful and relaxing here. I know that I am sooooooooooooooo far behind on the threads. I was organizing some pictures this morning and wanted to show you my FE that arrived the day before we left. I asked out talented custom window treatment to make one for me. Laura--FGM. She did an AWEsome job!

Do you know, I didn't even ask what the shots where, but it sounds the same, yes they are rotating them around the Belly Button to avoid bruising, and I have had these before after my hernia surgery, the sting is like a Bee Sting,
I will found out tomorrow, I am going to have a scan at the DVT center, I still think that this is a precaution and actually its a bad strain, hopefully they will find out.
The pain is still there, maybe 10% down only, and I think thats because I have rested it, not the injections.

LOL Andy you guys sound like us ....we will actually be in Cozumel this time next week and diving for a week ... My oldest DS 16 Dylan will be doing his first Night dive and he has been certified since he was 10 .... So it should be another great dive trip

Okay, I am really really behind (still on page 36). BUT, I finally made reservations for the Midwest Mini Meet!!!! Go me!!!

Anyway, the Pheasant Run resort was full, I will keep checking as there may be cancellations...BUT, I did make reservations at the Hilton Indian Lakes Resort. According to Mapquest, that is 7.36 miles away from West Chicago. Pam and/or Cheryl, do you think that will be close enough and easy enough to get to and from? The room was $100 per night and we are Platinum blah blah blah members because of DH's travel. So we get free upgrades to the best room and free breakfast at Hiltons, so that is why I chose that. Also, maybe I can convince DH to come along as it is on a golf course...

Let me know, as if that is totally in the wrong area, I can change!

Back to do bills, update our family calendar and many other weekend chores. Hope to ketchup during naptime!

Thanks, I have my leg up on the sofa resting it, I feel/hope, its not DVT, but a bad strain, (that will clear up with rest before the cruise),find out Tomorrow. Ta,
