I finally got around to booking our airport transportation. We're using Prime Time Shuttle from SNA to DLH on the way out, and we're using Tiffany Towncar from PC to Universal, then Universal to MCO once we're back in Florida. One more thing off the list!

And I got a pair of PJ pants, so once again, the threat of me wandering the Magic in my boxers has been thwarted!

HA! Me too then!

Does not that movie have all of lifes lessons in one movie? "Our ability to accessorize is what sets us apart from the rest of the animal world". My personal favorite: "That which does not kill us makes us stronger". ;)

I love the Groom's cake and the way she slices the rear for the Father...everytime I see Red Velvet cake I think of that movie!

There is sexy tight and then there is "OMG! What is she thinking tight"! :lmao:
Okay...I guess that's true. I have a few of those. When I was going through my closet looking for stuff for the trip, I found a few dresses that made me scream "OMG" as I tried unsuccessfully to get them off without help. :rotfl2: Needless to say, those are in the Goodwill pile now! :rotfl: :rotfl:

I think we're actually going to do a Red Velvet cake for our groom's cake at our rehearsal dinner. We'll see. My Maid of Honor is really talented at cake design/decoration and everything she bakes is amazing. My FI won't get it, but all the women in the room will!

I can't believe some of you are so far ahead of me planning/packing. I have not done anything (well that is except try on my pirate nightdress and formal dress and cry because they are are SSSOOO tight".

I've made a few lists but I still have a ton of shopping to do.

I am going to try my Moms method packing over mine. Hers involves actually laying the outfits out, TRYING THEM ON  !, and making sure it looks good and it properly undergarmeted.

That's the way I pack!:lmao:

Growing up we would spend the summer in South Carolina. I remember my mom spending weeks shopping for my sister and I. Before she packed anything, we had to try the outfits on to make sure they fit properly.

It used to drive us nuts, but now my sister and I pack the same way.

I was going to say, if you run short on time you may leave out Legoland. We went about two years back and were not all that impressed. I think you would enjoy DL or SeaWorld or Universal Studios much better then Legoland.

If we did that, there'd be mutiny in the household!!:lmao: Our three boys absolutely love Legos and we're using their free admissions from the Brickmaster club to go to Legoland. I know that it may not be as impressive for us, but I think the kids will really enjoy it for the few hours we're there.

The ship changed to port time at each port for the Mexican Riviera. We went forward in time. So the ship was on PV time in PV, which I actually think by then had us on US Eastern time.....I think.

I hope this is the case although I think PV is on Central time. According to the clock on this website, they are an hour ahead of me which would make it Central time.

As I recall from the Western cruises, the time we got in was always local time so I am very confused about this whole ship time vs local time concept. :confused3 :confused3 :confused3

:lmao: That is good! 10ds was reading you boys post on the kids thread and he is very excited to meet your 10yr old almost 11ds. Elvis turned to me and said *He likes all the same things I do!* Extremely excited -- Elvis is not usually excited about meeting anyone....... His real name is Brian but, he has gone by Elvis on the last 3 cruises and at most places.....

That's great! Our 10yr old's name is Deryk and he makes friends quite easily. It's our 13 year old we worry about.

Well, I guess I had best get going. My new glasses are ready....that was quick. And I actually like them a lot better than the ones that are at the bottom of the ocean in Cabo.
;) ;)

Maybe one of us will find them on the beach or while snorkling in August...

Edited to add....I should clarify--maybe we'll find the old ones. The new ones had better stay on your face. Maybe your secret Mickey needs to buy you one of those "Croakees" headbands for your new pair of glasses.

Yah, I read a later post (should have kept reading) that your kids love Lego's. So I agree that you should make a stop by Legoland. As mentioned in a earlier post, it was just looking really aged.

However, I do have to admit the Legoland town area is really cool.

Was it Celestine that was on it too?

So then this is like a reunion cruise for a bunch of people that didn't meet before?

What excursions did everyone do on the August 2006 cruise?

We didn't do any! We got off at both ports & wondered around, but that was it as we knew nothing about the ports & hadn't got the passporter with us. DH & DD did do the sting ray thing at CC which was just a couple of days after Steve Irwin was killed by one, so you can imagine the jokes. I think we met Cinderella Mom first day by the pool as DDs are roughly the same age

Celestine

Yes Christopher however, keep in mind that the ship keeps its own time. Always, and I do mean ALWAYS, follow the ship's time as it maybe be different - especially as we start changing time zones. As some of you read - we (meaning Steve and I) had a bit of mishap on our Cabo day - so consequently, I will have a manuel watch when I go into ports! I don't need to be beat over the head more than once!

Hmm ... on our previous cruises the ship's time has adjusted depending on the time zone and the shore time was the same as the ship's time. Are you saying this is no longer the case?

.

Christopher, we're going to Legoland also. Probably won't do many of the rides, I think DH and DS really just want to see the things that they've made with the lego's.

I keep changing my mind about what we're doing when. Originally I had thought to do LL on Thursday afternoon after we get in but now I think we're going to try and do DCA Thursday afternoon/evening, LL on Friday and DL/DCA again on Saturday. Of course, the thing that could change all my plans completely is dinner with my aunt and uncle - right now I'm planning on Friday night but depending on my uncle's health we might have to do it Thursday or if they are going to be at their place in Breckinridge I might switch it back to LL on Thursday and DL/DCA Friday and Saturday.

I also have to fit in there a stop at the liquor store to get a couple of bottles of grey goose. I'm debating about getting the wine package on board - I do need to check with our table mates and see if they want to go into the 15 day package with me or if I'll just end up getting the 7 day (DH doesn't drink wine). I also plan on bringing a few bottles on with me but there isn't any way that I'm lugging enough for the whole cruise.

Robert has put some little blue ball in his ear! Ofcourse they make no attempts to remove it, and ofcourse he denies being the one to put it in his ear. I had to quick make an appt with the dr and leave the funeral to go get him at the school...... only to take one look at it, grab a paperclip off the office desk and popped it right out of his ear, sent him back to class and rushed back to the service

LOL! It is obvious from your post even if I didn't already know, that you have more than one kid. :lmao: It's like the pacifier ... you sterilize it if it drops on the floor for the first one, wipe it off on your shirt for the second...

DCL usually changes ship time to match the shore time - many other cruise lines don't do this. Way back when, DH & I did a couple Carnival Cruises. They kept ship time as Eastern throughout the trip even though we spent a lot of time actually in Central. I don't know if they still do this or not. Our past DCL cruises, DCL has always matched the local time (but we haven't cruised since Jan 2007)

We are smiling. My guys have crew cuts, but I can guarantee my ears aren't showing.

The easiest thing to do is line your family up against a white wall and take their photos. Take your memory card to the instant print machine at Walgreens or CVS It should have a Passport option. Pick the photo and line the face up between the lines on the screen & print. You get 4 passport photos for about $0.25, or whatever your Walgreens charges for a regular 4x6 print.

Incidentally - the cashier at our Walgreens tried to charge $10 for each because they were "Passport photos" since that is what they charge if they take it for you. I had to talk to a manager. All I did was print 4 4x6 photos. Doesn't matter what's on them!

That sounds like the program that I downloaded. http://www.onthegosoft.com/pp_download.htm It has the oval for the face and you just click and drag the oval to fit and it is supposed to be where you need it to be. I am going to take the card to WM tonight after the boys get home. It will cost us under .50 if they work. :)

You didn't mess up! Just lots going on. Has someone said the desert buffet yet?

And he's a concert pianist! Any guy who could either play the piano or sing to me (or both) would have me melting!!

SERIOUSLY?!?!? I never would have guessed that. I wonder if DH knows that. He watches that show with the kids all the time.

Wow! I'm glad everyone is fine, but this is a story your DGD will hear about the rest of her life!

This is the second story that she can hear about for the rest of her life. When she just turned two............She stuck a small dress shirt cuff button up her nose!!!:lmao: :lmao: :rotfl: :lmao: :lmao:

Cheryl, I have to say that angels sure are watching over your family.

That was my exact words but I feel sorry that Genevieve's guardian angel gets no rest!!!

I'm glad she's okay, her guardian angel is working overtime!

I just have to ask, did Polly Pocket get her shoe back? ;)

She did tell me that she picked my favorite color of purple!!:rolleyes1 The purple heel was sent home with her in a ziplock bag.:rolleyes1

I have a "foreign object" in an orfice story.
Last year I got a call from the school nurse on Miranda. As the girl has never missed a day of school, I was concerned. Turns out the girl put an eraser in her ear. I took her 30 mins away to see her Pediatrician but he said we would have to go to an ENT as it was REALLY down there.
$250.00 later an ENT has said eraser out of her ear.
Needless to say I had quite the conversation with her on why she did that.

We could solve some of the mysteries of life if we cold figure out why children do anything!!:thumbsup2

OH MY! You really don't know what kids will do!

Glad she is ok! (Hopefully your DD is too!)

At least she was accessorizing her nose? Way to think outside the box?

Chrissie

Yes she is quite the princess and wears a crown and a princess dress everyday. She thinks way outstide the box and is just way too smart to do something dumb like this!!:headache: :headache:

OH MY!!! You couldn't write stuff like that. What a stressful day. So glad that everyone is OK. I have to wonder what the dispatcher thought when she heard that there was a shoe up your GD's nose. :lmao: DD put three orange tic tacs up her nose one time when she was about 3. I managed to get them out with tweazers. Thank goodness they weren't the red, green or white ones or they would have burned a bit more. OY! Kids do the darndest things!

And that is why our hair turns gray or white!!!:flower3:

Glad that everybody's OK. I had to laugh when I imagined the look on the police dispatchers face when your DD told him that there was a shoe up DGD'd nose!

And apparently, when I was really little, I stuck a skeleton up my nose, and the skull stayed there when I pulled it out. My Mom was on the phone with the doctor, when it finally shot out like a cannon, ricocheted off the opposite wall, and hit her.

Okay so does it take really dumb or really smart people to do science experiments with their nose!!:lmao: :lmao:

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:
Well, he's much better looking than any of the Mythbusters!

Frankly, he's a nice looking guy, but not my type. I love his sense of humor and deadpan delivery though.

ROFLMAO!!! :lmao: He would have to have a great sense of humor to get people to watch some of those shows.
