My son's home from the hospital !!!:worship::worship::worship:

In the span of 7 days, we went from taking our sweet little child, suffering from tremendous headaches, to our children's hospital emergency room; 2 hours later hearing from a neuro-surgeon that he has an abnormality in his brain :scared1:;a day later hearing that he has a brain aneurism and that the only action is surgery ; 3 sleepless nights later he undergoes successful 6 hour surgery :yay:; 3 pain-free nights later...he is home sleeping in his own bed !!! :cloud9::cloud9:

As much as we dreamed of this Disney cruise, as I tucked in my twins tonight in their own beds and wished them sweet dreams ( Dolce Sogni ), this cruise was the furthest thing from my mind. Yet, I can't help but think that there was some Disney Magic in my son's incredible recovery from brain surgery !!!

Thanks to all of you for allowing me to unload my emotions on you and I wish you all a GREAT CRUISE and SMOOTH SAILING !!
I look forward to reading a trip report from the cruise...GOODNIGHT ALL !!:cloud9:

Thanks for updating us Tony! Children are so often amazingly resilient and it is so wonderful that they are!!!

I am sure that it has been a very emotional few days for your whole family and I hope that you now are a little bit more at peace with the fact that you tucked all your children safely into their own beds tonight - what a great thing for your family!!!

We continue to send Disney Magic your family's way! :wizard:

Thanks Jen.

Hello Everyone! We have been so enjoying our time at the cabin - I do not think I have even read all the posts from the last 2 days yet but I will get caught back up tomorrow!!!

The weather has not been the best at our lake place but we are enjoying being away from the cities, spending time together as a family and doing fun things with our friends.

We will stay until Monday morning and then head back home for 3 days...and then come back up to the lake! It is really helping us pass the days though!!!

I hope to read soon that EVERYONE is HEALTHY! Sounds like we have had a lot of injuries and illnesses. I think we must all need a vacation!!!

Have a great night everyone!
Jen

Great news of the speedy recovery and hope it continues...

So a difficult question today that troubles me,

We have been waiting for this cruise for a long time... I booked 4th December 2007!, :surfweb:So its nearly here and all that time has passed very quickly.:goodvibes

How do we ensure the cruise doesn't go quickly :cool2:and we enjoy all the time on it, and its not over in a flash.:rockband:

As my last cruise was 15 nights, party: the one before 11 nights, I worry this one will be embarkation, then feel like disembarkation the very next day!!:scared1:

Whats anyones tips of slowing down the time on ship.....:tinker::wizard::teacher:

I have contacted my friend 'the Doctor' (Doctor Who) but he hasn't the time to deal with trivial matters...:lmao:

I have been very busy at work and haven't had the time I would have liked to really keep up with this very popular board.

If anyone would be kind enough to send me a PM with the bulletpoints of things I could catch up on: FE, gift swap, meets, etc - I would really appreciate it!

And also the log in info for that group site thats on the sticky -

Much much appreciated!

Susy

Hey everybody!
I just wanted to stop by and wish you all a GREAT cruise! For the newer folks, we were booked on this cruise but changed our plans to go to Hawaii this summer instead. The folks on here were so great to chat with I just wanted to stop by and wish you all a great time before I get to busy and forget to do so.

keep the ship ship-shape as we are booked on a post-Thanksgiving Western sailing.

Jeff

Hey Jeff,
You must give me a trip report of Hawaii.......My daughter Hanna wants to go there sooo badly!!!!!

Enjoy your trips and cruise and please stop in and say Hello!!!:goodvibes:goodvibes

Let me know when you're planning and I'll see if we can make it. Next weekend we're supposed to be doing an adults only weekend to RI with some friends. Megan has camp the first week in August.

I will we are thinking this upcoming weekend or the following Sunday maybe @ the RainForest Cafe??

Today, was another busy busy day.....

This morning I get a call from my husband saying he is at the Walk-In-Clinic??Ok, why, I ask?? He says he was having dizzy spells @ work. He has a case of Vertigo......UGH!!!! He also pulled something in his shoulder while working in the lawn last weekend. So he is being treated for the Veritgo.

I also have a hubby with a bum shoulder. He's been going to Physical Therapy for two months now and still not better-may be trying cortisone shots soon and if all else fails, surgery. Last cruise he had a broken ankle and was hobbling along. I'm telling you, the bigger kids are worse than the little ones sometimes.

I agree the bigger kids are worse than the littler ones....LOL!!!:) :)

Hi Kristen,

First of all hope your mom is ok, sending well wishes your way.

Also where in MA does your brother live? We also live in MA in a town called Norton, not to far from the RI border, but I have lived in several other towns.

Thanks, for asking about my mom she is awaiting the call from her Doctor next week to order a new test.......I will keep you posted......

My brother lives in Dudley, MA....It is a small town......All of my SIL family lives in R.I. almost on the MA border!! It is about an hour and a half to my brothers house from my house!!

Andrew,,

I honestly have the hardest time when the cruise is over.....Last cruise I was sooo sad for the first two weeks that we were home. It was terrible hoping this time that since we will dismebark and then head to WDW it will not be sooooo bad!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hello Susy!

I sent you a PM with some information and the log in for the website. Feel free to check it all out and hopefully it will have all the information you are looking for!

Morning Kristin!

How is everyone? I have been thinking of you a lot and hope that you are hanging in there! :goodvibes The good thing is that our cruise date is coming up fast and soon we will all be on our much needed vacations!

My internet is kind of funky today at the cabin so I am not sure how much I will responding but I am trying to read everything you guys post.

Have a wonderful day!
Jen

Good Morning Everyone,

Dreay day here in Michigan...

Andrew,
Great Questioin, I try and not load up on activities and enjoy just sitting around relaxing. I really hate it when the trip is over, and the only thing that keeps me from being sad is planning our next adventure.

Denise

Hi Guys,

Tony - that is totally amazing. It never ceases to amaze me how utterly resiliant kids are. So pleased that Simon is back home with his family and all is well with your world :)

Kristin, I am still thinking of you all and especially your Mom. Sending love and pixie dust your way  :wizard:

Today is CLOTHING INVENTORY DAY! I am taking an inventory of all the stuff we have in the packing zone so I can see if I missed anything. Struggling a little about what the girls will wear for formal night but apart from that so far so good.

I have one more shopping trip to make to get my final things and then I will get it all properly packed and ready to go!

My Auntie arrived yesterday from the Isle of Wight. She comes for three weeks in the school summer break and Isabelle ADORES her. It is almost like having one less child around because I barely see her - however given that Darren is still tiling and I am busy pre packing it is great having another pair of hands around!

Right, signing off for a while to go continue with the clothing inventory. Back later.

Mel
