I would love to go to Hawaii, my DH not so much...he hates the really long flights. I am waiting patiently for the new Disney Resort to open and then maybe I can talk him into it. The drawback is that the kids are older now and its really hard to get everyone's schedule worked out, so it might just be the two of us.

Today is CLOTHING INVENTORY DAY! I am taking an inventory of all the stuff we have in the packing zone so I can see if I missed anything. Struggling a little about what the girls will wear for formal night but apart from that so far so good.

I have one more shopping trip to make to get my final things and then I will get it all properly packed and ready to go!

My Auntie arrived yesterday from the Isle of Wight. She comes for three weeks in the school summer break and Isabelle ADORES her. It is almost like having one less child around because I barely see her - however given that Darren is still tiling and I am busy pre packing it is great having another pair of hands around!

Right, signing off for a while to go continue with the clothing inventory. Back later.

Today, was another busy busy day.....

This morning I get a call from my husband saying he is at the Walk-In-Clinic??Ok, why, I ask?? He says he was having dizzy spells @ work. He has a case of Vertigo......UGH!!!! He also pulled something in his shoulder while working in the lawn last weekend. So he is being treated for the Veritgo.

Kristen, you have so much to deal with these days !!!
Here is some more PD for your husband !! Hopefully he will feel Ok before our cruise !!! Sending lots of positive thoughts your way !!!

My son's home from the hospital !!!

In the span of 7 days, we went from taking our sweet little child, suffering from tremendous headaches, to our children's hospital emergency room; 2 hours later hearing from a neuro-surgeon that he has an abnormality in his brain ;a day later hearing that he has a brain aneurism and that the only action is surgery ; 3 sleepless nights later he undergoes successful 6 hour surgery ; 3 pain-free nights later...he is home sleeping in his own bed !!!

AWWW Tony !!! How happy we are to hear that Simone is home again !!!!!!!!!
How lovely for his twin brother and all the family !!!


THANKYOU so much to the doctors !!! A little Disney magic surely helped you all to go through all of this !!!!

Here we hope that your Summer will be smooth and uneventfull from now on !!
I'll pray for you all to have some quiet and FUN time in the next weeks ; enjoy your family time , I'm sure you all will !!!!!

Also here !!! I'm checking my "packing list" : TOMORROW , asa Marco will be on his way to work ... I'll do ALL OF MY MAJOR PACKING (two bigs suitcases , we tend to "share" bags , some clothing for both of us in each suitcase ... just in case one of them gets lost ...).

Would you all like to join in our SDD ???
In 7 days we will be on the plane !!!!

So a difficult question today that troubles me,



How do we ensure the cruise doesn't go quickly and we enjoy all the time on it, and its not over in a flash.

As my last cruise was 15 nights, the one before 11 nights, I worry this one will be embarkation, then feel like disembarkation the very next day!!


I have contacted my friend 'the Doctor' (Doctor Who) but he hasn't the time to deal with trivial matters...

NO easy answer !!!!!

We do loads of videotaping / photos to remember each single moment of our cruise !!!
and bring with us BROCHURES and a rough PLANNING of our next trip !!!
We also love to have a last "short" vacation (ie NYC for us this year !!) to look forward to when we disembark !!!

Yes its a hard one, I spent 15 nights on the Magic last year and it passed in a blink of an eye.

I understand that US sizes are 'larger' than UK sizes, thats the warning in our brouchers.

No they are different!

Let me check, I think a US 6 is a UK 8 or and a US 8 is a UK 10 and so on - so whatever US size you are you need to add two to get the UK size.

I hope all your clothing inventory goes well today - it is so much fun to start all the serious packing! I just love the luggage you have for the girls!!!

Sounds like it will be great to have your Auntie there with you! I can imagine that the extra hands will make it easier for you to get some things done.

Are you finding time to get some of your 5K training in? I missed a couple of days. First it was my cold, then it was the weather, then I stayed up to late up here at the lake...I did get out today (I was getting worried that I would be back to where I started from). I jogged a lot of it but will admit to the fact I had to walk some.

It is hard to believe that it is only 7 DAYS until you are on the plane!!!!! Glad you are going to do your MAJOR packing tomorrow!!!

When we get home tomorrow, I will upload the final FE list and the map so that you can have that in time!!!!

As much as we dreamed of this Disney cruise, as I tucked in my twins tonight in their own beds and wished them sweet dreams ( Dolce Sogni ), this cruise was the furthest thing from my mind. Yet, I can't help but think that there was some Disney Magic in my son's incredible recovery from brain surgery !!!

Thanks to all of you for allowing me to unload my emotions on you and I wish you all a GREAT CRUISE and SMOOTH SAILING !!
I look forward to reading a trip report from the cruise...GOODNIGHT ALL !!

Tony - so glad to hear of your sons quick recovery. Kids are sooooo resiliant. My DN had open heart surgery this summer and was home 5 days later and you would never know there was surgery excpet for the scar - she is 6 months. Will be sure to get you a trip report.

Hello Everyone! We have been so enjoying our time at the cabin - I do not think I have even read all the posts from the last 2 days yet but I will get caught back up tomorrow!!!

The weather has not been the best at our lake place but we are enjoying being away from the cities, spending time together as a family and doing fun things with our friends.

We will stay until Monday morning and then head back home for 3 days...and then come back up to the lake! It is really helping us pass the days though!!!

I hope to read soon that EVERYONE is HEALTHY! Sounds like we have had a lot of injuries and illnesses. I think we must all need a vacation!!!

Jen - sounds like you have found a way to pass the time. My kids are going up to my in-laws cottage on lake Ontario for 5 days and then home for birthday parties.

Mel - you are a head of me in the clothing inventory category. I have some stuff pulled like formal wear, some shoes, and some new stuff. However, the kids are still wearing some of their clothes to pack as am I. We have officially labled our library the Cruise room because that is what is in it now - No $$ for furniture - LOL

Laura, cannot believe you will be on a plane in 7 days. I am so jealous!! We have plans for afterwards but not before. Work , work, work -

Here in CT today it is soooooooo humid that the sweat was just dripping in our eyes when we were trying to weed this am. Because we have had so much rain we cannot keep up with the yard work -

Spending the rest of the day in the air conditioning still working on the magnets. If all goes well we will be able to decorate our door with a different theme each day.

My turn to be sly - - LOL Jen - - we got a package with part of our FE things and are just waiting for one more.

I am soooo excited about this cruise I feel like I am jumping out of my skin with anticipation.

Kristin- There is nothing like Hawaii. We usually go to just Maui but are visiting three islands this time (Oahu, Maui & Kauai). So looking forward to it. Have a great cruise!

I got it ordered from Mini Boden so hoping it fits now..... LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Uh Oh - Now you are killing me Kristin because the conversion I listed is ladies sizes the kids are done by ages so probably the same as the US sizes.

Now I see you are ordering from MINI Boden then I guess it is for the girls...? Really hope I haven't just caused you a HUGE problem - perhaps an email to tell them that your daft friend from the UK gave you information on womens sizing not childs..?
