A couple more questions to get the thought jucies going…..

What towel animals do you like, (1st cruisers) or looking forward to?
P8210117.jpg

I like them all, I like being surprised. I also like it when they use your own props, like sunglasses.:cool1:

Where do you like to view the fireworks form? Or plan to.

barcelona_07.gif

Last cruise we got a table and chair on deck 10. That was a great location, me and DH got to sit while DD was down at the action dancing. Because we were right on the rail we could see her.

Do you buy/take any cruise planning books?

PASSPORTER09-1.jpg
DUMMIES.jpg

I love reading guidebooks. Even when I am not in the middle of planning a trip.

When do you change your clocks on the cruise at night or early next day

changeclock.gif

Before bed.

Whats the most romantic thing you have done, or plan to do on the cruise.

2279680476_d6c3506c35.jpg

Just going out on deck at night when it is really dark and watching the water while you get misted from the sea spray.

Do you read the port guides or go to the talks re ports on the ship.

scan0005.jpg

I skim the port guides.

Favorite soda at the soda stn. And how often do you visit.

P8250193-1.jpg

I am a diet coke drinker, I visit as often as I can, but I like caffine free starting in the afternoon.

Do you jog around the decks to work off food.

P8250207-1.jpg

I try to walk every day, but no jogging for me.

When do you tip during the last night, as soon as you get in or at the end of the meal.

P8310040-1.jpg

TIP.jpg

I can't remember, I think we tipped at the end. My DH takes care of that.

The Aug. 15th cruise will be our first family cruise. We are surprising our kids with the trip that morning. They love disney and WDW so this will be so cool for them, DS 7, DS 5.5, DD 4.5.

Looking forward to reading more on this thread.

That is so going to surprise them, cool,

:thumbsup2

Towel animals I also like it when they use a bit of our stuff, like my glases above, we tip at the end of the meal last night, we need to walk more this time to get off the food, I plan in advance ( no you dont say!) but always read port guides, I do not go to the talks, Fireworks deck 10 aft, starboard. Clocks bed time, before sleep.

Romantic, well I cant say otherwise Minnie would fall out with Mickey...

Hi Nicki,

Glad you made it over to the thread. What an amazing surprise for your children and well done to you for keeping it a surprise, I am rubbish at keeping surprises so I would never have had the will power to keep quiet!

Not long to go now :)

I'm a bit behind on the board but I had to respond to this! My DH also likes Science Fiction and Doctor Who is one of his favorites! He's even gotten DS interested. DH also watches Torchwood.

Ditto here! Big Dr Who family here (at least, David Tennant and the Dr immediately before him! We got the posters on the wall to prove it!:cheer2: But we'll leave the sonic screwdriver home this trip.

DH and DS16 are both big sci fi fans.:thumbsup2

GREAT news about your son, Kathy!:cool1:

I can not believe I have kept it a secret (not surprised about DD - he is such a good secret keeper). The hard part will be packing. I am one of those overplanners with lists and such about packing. I am home all summer with the kids because I am a teacher so I guess I am going to have to pack at night when they sleep.

We can not wait. We are hoping to meet some other families with kids simular ages.

Todays questions are more of a challenge.(Bit of fun)

SO

How many ADR's have you booked in total pre/post cruise at WDW,(Lets see who has the highest)
Only 4-Liberty Tree Tavern, Le Cellier, Chef Mickeys, Whispering Canyon. But now I think we're switching two days around to accomodate our friends arrival so LeCellier will probably get dropped.

1170 miles

How many Disney cruises have you been on, (clue in most signature lines)
Magic-April 2001

What is the one thing you spent the most on, on ship before?

This is our first year arriving early to do WDW, usually only arrive day before cruise

Who has been your favourite person/ CM CD etc on previous cruises, - or if not cruised before, who do you want to see or heard of?

Brent or Christian, both were great cruise directors. We loved our server Sunny from April 2008, not sure if he's still around, and head server Arnold, also from April 2008 was the best to date! Very accomodating with our son and his food allergies. I'll also give a shout out to our past room steward, Calvin.

Happy July 4th!

:yay: Just wanted everyone to know that we got good news on Thursday!

DS does NOT need surgery for his arm! :woohoo:

I don't like it when too many ships "POUR DOWN" LOADS OF TOURISTS ... on those poor islands ...

I sometimes find it " embarassing" :confused3 to be "considered" a tourist myself ...
I like when we can "mingle" with local people - as we could do in Hawaii !!1

Hi everybody I can't believe it is July already, getting excited and starting to plan more now. I've been busy the past couple of months getting our pool totaly rebuilt (still had some damage from the last hurricanes that came through). We love all the towel animals and tip after the meal, we try to walk off the meals everyday and love walking the ship at night when it is quiet and you can hear the waves. We are Picking up our new puppy the first week of Aug and will hate to leave him after 2 weeks, but we have a good sitter. Rick
