:sad2: greetings from the DC Area.
Took about 6 and 1/4 hrs from CT, But then I took a break every 2 hrs. My knee was throbbing most of the way down. :sad2:

Just heard the POPE is going to be in the DC area tomorrow, so I guess the roads are going suck.

Hey Ed, how is DC? It is gonna be a mess around town tomorrow, the traffic is always bad there anyway! Hope your knee feels better.:goodvibes

Princessmom
You were sooo right. Darn it. No cat 9 cabins left on deck 2. Who would have thought an entire category on a deck would sell out 16 months before a cruise?? OMG. So we took a gulp and got a cat 8 on deck 5. Now I need to look for reports on the room. Have to say though, DU was awesome in finding a great price for us. Go, Tracy!:cheer2:
And it's finally sunny in upstate NY (although i still had to scrape my windows on the car this morning...)Yes, all you warm-climate folks can grin....

But we're on our way to the countdown to Tortola!!! WOOOHOOOO

I just went to the website and pretended to book our cruise and under the option of "pick your own stateroom" at least 6 cat. 9 on deck two showed up. Strange!:confused3

Karen - What great photos! What resort was that? It looks fantastic.

Greetings fellow Tortola cruisers. We are in vacation planning mode in our house. Fun Fun Fun.

But I guess I need to actually get some work done so that I can pay for those vacations.

Happy day to all.

It's called The Crane, Jeff - it's on the less commercial South coast. It's still being developed at the moment so there's a lot of building work going on - can't wait till it's finished... ;)

Just checked the website and wow. Gotta put this on my list of future "to do's"

Wow! I can't ever recall a day with as few posts as today!?!

Just in from a hockey game. Jake went with me - he's gonna be beat for school tomorrow!! Nothing, in my opinion, is more exciting than playoff hockey! Well, maybe some things are more exciting.... but playoff hockey is up there at the top of the list! :rotfl:

Morning everyone!

Spent much of yesterday getting Samuel packed and ready for school. He usually disappears leaving some essential behind (which I then have to take to him) so I kept chanting "phone, ipod, keys, contact lenses, glasses, wallet" at him till I think he was ready to explode!! :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl: Being the polite chap that he is, he kept it well-hidden and went back to playing on the Wii - after assuring me that all essential items were present and correct... :rolleyes1

So I'm on my own today and the peace and quiet is wonderful! :cloud9: Off to the gym in a short while and then a little shopping after that... :thumbsup2

Happy Hump Day... ;)

Hey Harry
Are you a Rangers or Devils fan? We of course are Penguin fans. Our early "courtship" took place during the Pens first cup in the early 1990s so playoff hockey holds a special place in our hearts. It's actually the only pro sport I will plan to watch (rather than just watch if I don't have anything else to do). I'm a big college basketball and college football fan as an alum of the U of Pittsburgh.

I don't have tickets to any games as of yet but given the way the team is playing it looks like I'll have another chance in round two. It's a very tough ticket to score but every once in a while a client or friend comes through.

Actually Flyers here (though don't forget I am a diehard Steelers fan, too :) ). We have season tickets for the Flyers - it's one of the pro sports I absolutely love to watch live. Pens are tough - very talented team.

New Jersey is so confusing. I always refer to "New York New Jersey" and 'Philadelphia New Jersey' with my friends who live out there. It keeps me straight in terms of where people live. Why is it that no one in New Jersey is a Devils fan? :rotfl:

Hey everyone
We are thinking of doing the unthinkable and canceling our DCL Mexican Riviera cruise this summer. We found some decent deals to our favorite place on earth (Hawaii) and despite the excruciating flight there we are thinking of doing that instead. I know, it's a good problem to have, but we're really torn. I was looking forward to the new ports - none of which I have ever seen - but we wonder if we have too many cruises in the works both past and future.

I have had a difficult time finding trip reports for the Mexican Riviera the last time DCL did that itinerary so it's been hard to gauge what we'd like and what we wouldn't. Time's a wasting on our deadline to pay off the cruise and getting our air set so we are going to be forced into making a decision soon. I wish DCL would just get it together and start cruising Hawaii NOW as that would make this all easy! :rotfl:

Harry - Just sitting here watching the Pens vs. Ottawa. What a dead building at Ottawa tonight - it's like they are waiting for the inevitable to happen. Hope their dream comes true! :rotfl:

Sounds like a tough choice, I would probably choose Hawaii (but I have never been there-and really want to go)!! But that's me!! Good luck wherever you go, which island, and when are you thinking of going?

yeah...we went last year so I am feeling piggy by thinking of doing it again. :lmao: We've actually been to the islands (mostly Maui) a number of times because we just fell in love with Maui on our honeymoon so we keep our eyes open for good deals and pounce on them. This year if we go we are going to go to Oahu and stay on Waikiki because we have never done it before and then go to Maui for the second part of the trip. Doing our plus and minus list now and surprisingly the cruise is starting to overtake the Hawaii trip. Yikes. We've become Disney Cruise-ized. Hooked big time.
