So you're lurkin' eh K? Hope you really don't have the "coughing" flu everyone else seems to have. It took me several weeks to shake it. And look, you quoted me with one of the globe animations which kept "crashing" - due to the anti-link settings on band-width for the hosting site. Hmmm.... curious... the image you quoted me with - is NOT moving.... that's odd. At any rate, the globe I finally re-posted seems to have a high enough bandwidth setting to allow me to poach it for our purposes here... <wink>

Other than that, my symptoms have concluded... however, I think Alicia and I still have some kind of lingering prescence from the flu. We get days where we're zonked - and for NO reason. And that is NOT how either of are ... generally.

Yesterday I ran out for a morning appointment and a lunch - then the weather was so nice I just took a long wandering drive home. Decidely out of the way with a wild bee line. So today is also shaping up into a nice day from the looks of it this morning.

How are things with your family? Things warm and cozy I presume! < wink >

Morning everyone!! im just here to say im only on for a shor amount of time because i am leaving for Pennsylvania in a half an hour.

- if ya see this after ya git back - I have ta ask if ya drove past Irwin, PA? That's where my spouse grew up! I think the road it's off is 76? (I went and googled a map - had to be sure of the roads) Anyways... I have have ta run shortly to get my little one to P-school.

I live in Pittsburgh and Irwin is a suburb of sorts (east of the city). I live north of the city but have friends who live in Penn Township which carries an Irwin address. Small world.

My FIL ...

... was chief of surgery at the local hospitals a coupleof decades ago. All his kids (except my spouse) are surgeons now... with most married to surgeons... and one teaches wanna-be MDs at Harvard (he has 7 ... SEVEN Boards - so he IS well credentialed) ... as such, in some circles from Irwin they're recognized/remembered. We've flown our dog out to visit on several occassions when visiting for the holidays - and I've toured through Pittsburgh and several of the surrounding communities... however, I do NOT think I've crossed every bridge in the area! < wink >

And I'm sorry to chat so briefly and run - but I have to get my little one ready for P-school or she'll miss circle time.

I'll be back later to hang out for a while for some of today -

<edited in> Some might quip - so if they're all MDs... what happened to my spouse that shes' not an MD? Well, I always reply that I married the prettiest one ... AND, we do quite well ... thank you < grinnin' and winks >

The kids have had the coughs, etc. for sometime seems to be the "community cough" in school..

Off to teach a reading lesson in the kids classroom this afternoon. It should be FUN!!!!

I just got back from taking the older daughter to 1st grade, the little one is still sleeping and I'll be getting her up for P-school in about 20 minutes. I already have her breakfast simmerrin'.

Sorry I've not been around much in the past 2 months. I've had a sort of busy schedule - and back in Dec more or less it (my time) all began to get clugged up when I fell ill with the flu. That cough, aches and so on generally would not shake off. Now it comes to pass that the CDC is saying this seasons' particular strains of influenza are reaching near pandemic porportions (eg - creative license being freely exercised here) ... or on the more serious side... the incidence of mortality from influenza this season is matching the last epodemic scale seen in 2005.

Oh well... how are things fer you in your part of the world?

OK...

I'm just passing through again ta drop a "DRIVE BY" .... p-p-posting... as I'm luxuriating in a supremely UNHEALTHY lunch.... I could not resist the urge when I drove past a Latino Market -which has a deli of sorts - that makes these huge and nominally unhealthy burritos. I ordered up a huge Lengua (beef tounge) burrito with extra sauteed onions... and that OH SO HOT sauce. And to top off my lunch I'm havin' some nice corn chips an' exrta spicy guacamole with Chocolate milk ... and a splash of Mango-grape juice from Costco. YUM! ... < "burp" > Now, no one tell Alicia as she'd have "wordds" fer me for my falling prey to such un-healthy choices for supper - especially when there's so much good an' "healthy" food at home.

OK... now back to watchin' Hayao Miyazakis' "Spirited Away" ... what a trippy animi ... I've not seen many of this type of flim but this one is definately rich in artistic imagination!!!

Hi everyone!!! Apologies for not having been around much but I'm still suffering - seem to have developed an ear infection now which is making me feel like crap again!!! I sincerely hope this is all my sickness out of the way for the entire year as I'm sooo incredibly bored of myself...

Hope everyone else is fighting fit and enjoying life. It feels like Spring is just around the corner and I, for one, can't wait. My DH is in such dire need of warmer weather, he persuaded me to book end of March flights to Barbados for us and DS - so looks like we'll be enjoying some Caribbean loveliness in a few short weeks!!! I'm hoping it'll be the tonic I need...
