8/10/2008 - Mexican Party Cruise - Who's Here??

hmmmm. I see my ticker says 4 days... maybe I'll get the suitcases out today!

Wow! 4 days for you! I feel the panic coming on with 8 days!

Tomorrow my Dad is coming over to go over the logistics of sailing along side of the Magic! His boat is docked very nearby San Pedro so he will sail with us out to see for awhile! I think it will be so exciting to actually know someone and wave! My kids can't wait for this part!

DH is getting out the luggage today! I hope I will be able to pack in peace but with a 5 and 3 year old, I doubt it!

OMG! That is so very cool!!! I can't believe that you willhave someone special to wave to while I just wave randomly to anyone who is looking at the Magic!!! I will just wave to everyone on boats that I see that way I know that I waved to your dad!

That would be great! When I was a child, our boat was docked in Long Beach and we would occasionally see cruise ships go out. Now they have several that go out from Long Beach and San Pedro.

My Mom and niece will also be with him. (Talk about happily divorced! ) They are almost as excited as we are!

Just look for a 30 ft. Catalina! That's the kind of boat it is!

So I have one more tag to put on one of my FE gifts... and I decided to weigh them to see how much they weigh. 15 lbs!!!! Wow... lots of little things sure add up quickly!!!

Quick question for those of you in the general vicinity of Disneyland:

DS22mo destroyed my glasses this morning. Irreparably. Is there someplace near Disneyland where I can find one of those 1-day or 1-hour turnaround optometrists? I will have my contacts and a copy of my prescription, but my optometrist can't get me new glasses in less than a week.

Any suggestions, please? Thanks....

There's a Lenscrafters in Anaheim and several others in the vicinity. I think they still do 1-hour glasses. Good luck! I feel for you having to deal with that at the last minute.

When Jenni was about that age she ripped both arms off of my glasses! SNAP! So if you see me with them on... just think super glue... lots of it! I am still trying to figure out how to get them to CA with me. I think I will be wrapping them up in some extra clothing in my carry-on and hope for the best. I will pack my super glue!

We are going to Tokyo DisneyLand from now to buy some pins for pin trading on Disney Magic.
after that We will go shopping for Mexican Cruise.

Thanks, D'Anne. I spent way too much time googling optometrists, with very little luck. Hopefully Lenscrafters still does quick turnarounds on glasses - I couldn't tell from their website. I'll stop off there on my way down Tuesday morning. Otherwise I guess I'll be stumbling around Disneyland and the Magic, bumping into everything!

So, for those of you who have started packing, what is your strategy? I don't even know where to begin. I had intended to get a good start this weekend since I have to work all week and then we have appts for hair, nails and eyes next Saturday. Poor planning on my part, for sure. It doesn't help that I came down with a cold last night and I feel yucky! Hopefully the rest of the family stays healthy while I recover. I'm sure I'll be fine by next week, I just don't want it to drag on for anyone else.

I think I'd be more excited if I wasn't feeling so stressed.
