Thanks so much for all your good wishes. We've had a talk about the situation and DH has said that he can realistically only be available for one week of our vacation sooo we've decided that he'll be on the cruise with DS and I!!! Thank goodness!!! DS and I will do the LA week together after DH returns to London... To say I'm relieved is a flippin' understatement! BUT let the countdown re-commence!!!

Super good news!!! Yeah!!!

Well, I have 1 suitcase completely packed. Meanwhile, my DD is going to her 1st overnight camp on Sunday - Friday so I'm trying to get her packed up too. OMG - you should see my poor house. I've had to move all of her stuff to the living room since I am afraid I will be packing her camp stuff in with our vacation stuff. I'm certain that I will not need her mess kit on the ship!

Wow... Packing...???? You already have one suitcase packed??? I think I might make a list today... maybe I can pull the suitcases out tonight... Reality is... I'll start next Monday... we have a 6:40 am flight on Wednesday... that should be enough time!

You gotta love how a kids looks at things!

As far as damage, I have about $50 in new picture frames to buy. Not bad! No one got hurt which is important!

I'm glad it wasn't too bad, though it stinks to lose anything. We were lucky, only had a few things tip over and only one broke (a decorative salt and pepper shaker that was 1 piece of a 3-piece set that had previously lost 1 piece...probably in an earlier quake.)

Hi everyone. I am going to send the updated and allegedly final cruisemates list to everyone in a few moments. Those participating in fish extender fun will get a list with cabin numbers on it too. I don't want to forget to send...so thought I better get it out now while I'm thinking about it.

Ok I lied. I lost the list. Not permanently as it is on my laptop that is STILL at the Apple store having a new superdrive installed (defective one when I bought it 2 months ago). I thought I had emailed myself the list but hadn't..so I can't update it. If anyone wants to email it back to me who got it via email last time, I may be able to work from that!

On a bright note, I finally figured out & purchased what I am going to do for the FE exchange. I got a great deal on it too!

Oh... funny story... the last time I went to WDW I forgot to pack socks!!!! I had to buy a 3 pack at WDW for about $15 and then wash them out every night so I could rewear them!!!

Good Morning!!! Happy Thursday! Ok. I have goals today! I am going to finish typing my itinerary commplete with contact H's , park hours and reservation and excursion times. I always like to leave acopy home with my parents and brother so that they know where we are in case they need to contact us in an emergency... or maybe it is just to make them jealous!
I also have a few FE gifts to finish up... 3 of them I think...I have them... I just have to put little tags on them to complete my thoughts and make em cute
I also have to weed ... mow the grass... dust and vaccuum the house and do the laundry

Maybe ... just maybe I will get those suitcases out today!

Happy Thursday! I think I am actually in single digits today! I can't believe it!

I will have DH find the biggest suitcases we have this weekend out of the garage. My organization method leaves a lot to be desired. I have a cruise drawer in my daughter's closet and I have been throwing other stuff in my closet. Nice huh? I don't really have anywhere else to put the stuff I don't want to forget. In the past I put all my vacation stuff in "safe" places and they were never heard from again.

I can't believe we are getting so much closer to August 10!

We leave in five days - four really, since it'll be the middle of the night. Thank goodness I've been picking up travel items for months, because at least that's done.

I still have to buy DSalmost-9's birthday gifts, do laundry, pack some of my stuff, pack all of both DSs' stuff, pack the toiletries and incidentals for the whole family, finish buying and sorting the FE gifts, get everyone haircuts, decorate my FE, finish up my door magnets and print them, arrange pet care, and order a crib for our hotel room. Oh, and entertain out-of-town guests this weekend. Yikes! I will be a complete basket case by next week. But I will be on vacation!!

And did I mention DS22months chose LAST NIGHT to start potty training?! We will be spending our entire vacation in a bathroom!

In the past I put all my vacation stuff in "safe" places and they were never heard from again.

Me, too. I did that until we moved this year. I finally broke down and starting dumping it, as I came across it in odd "safe" places, into a giant Rubbermaid tub. I'm sure there's more somewhere that I missed...!

Sorry this is a bit "late"...........(we are at the beach in Capitola,we go every year the 4th Sunday in July for a week) but I wanted to let you know that I will have plenty of sea sickness patches with me if you would like some. I will also have possibly EVERY other medication you can think of for every symptom you can think of.........being a nurse my "first aid" kit it better packed then my wardrobe and it has come in handy on several cruises for many people so if you need them.............(and you have a history of good blood pressure) come find me you are more then welcome to have them.

We sent a package to New Hampshire and it was delivered somewhere in Detroit! Someone signed for it and never returned it. We tried to find it and couldn't. You are lucky your neighbor had it!

Happy Saturday everyone. I spent my morning getting a manicure and buying stuff to prevent sea sickness. I have been on 3 cruises before and only one night of sea sickness. I am more worried about the catamaran type boats we are taking on our excursion to Las Caletas. It's 50 minutes and that's a long time to be sea sick. I bought "Less Drowsy" Dramamine and Bonine and the bands. I called my doc to see if he would prescribe me the patch but he wants me to come in for an office visit just to get that prescription. I know I might be silly but I think that is lame! It's a sea sickness patch for goodness sake![/QUOTE]

Ok thanks to those who sent the cruisemate list. But I had done a bunch of work updating and refining it and that's the one I left on the computer in for service. Good news is that I'm getting the laptop back tomorrow so you should all get the final list later Friday!

Hey thanks! I have PERFECT blood pressure! Even while pregnant I had PERFECT blood pressure. So, we are good to go! You are saving me huge bucks in gas and doctor's visit. Thanks!

Wow... do I feel lucky! I just read a thread about the Sea Life Water Park at PV closing for renovations during our cruise! I almost made that switch from the Paradise Beach Adventure a while back. I am so glad that my dh talked me out of that change!!!! They are actually keeping the dolphin encounter but are offering a boxed lunch or 1 free pic in place of the all day water park!!! whew... that was a close one for us!
