I haven't checked the weather report for here yet today but it's overcast at the moment. It doesn't feel too bad outside though, mind you I've only poked my head out as far as the mailbox

I need a major overhaul on my bird houses too. It seems like they all fell down over the winter

I'd like some new ones but I'm no good at building things at all. Might have to see if I can find something interesting in the stores.

It was a lovely day yesterday, a real Spring day, but unfortunately it's going to get cooler later in the week. I can't wait for Summer to arrive, so I can sit out in the garden and get some sun on my pasty skin

What are you up to today ? I haven't got anything interesting going on. Just taking my mum supermarket shopping (boring - LOL)

Hope everyone is having a good day!! The rain has finally cleared out of here, now... if the sun will come out, I will be happier than a clam at high tide!

Robin, same happened with my bird feeders... old man winter blew them down and my purple martin house took a good beating with our last storm.

Betsy, how are all of the DGkids? Hope you enjoyed your night out with SIL & BIL!

Mandy, my pasty skin would make your's look like you've been on a nice tropical vacation! When it was warm last weekend, everyone but me wore shorts... I was too scared I would blind someone with my legs!

I had a very nice productive day today.

The weather was great and I just seemed to get a lot of things done for some reason.

I think the weather should be nice more often.

It seems to motivate me to great accomplishments

The sun is out today and it's amazing how good it can make you feel! It's nice to see blue skies again!

I hope everyone is enjoying their day as much as I am! Nothing special is going on but the signs of spring that are popping up everywhere makes me want to sing and dance!!

It's been a lovely day here, but unfortunately I have been stuck in all day as I was waiting for a delivery - so guess what ? after staying in all day, the delivery didn't turn up - I was furious - nevermind

It's Becky's 16th birthday tomorrow, so I spent today sorting out her presents and putting up some decorations. If you want to leave her a message, there's a thread on the UK Community http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2122833

Hi all!!! Hope you are all doing well!!

Looks like Becky had a great birthday! Her dessert looks yummy too, I love strawberries!!

Glad I logged on tonight so I can officially post a sweet 16 birthday message on her birthday thread! It's still her birthday here, so I'll celebrate it for her with a slice of chocolate cake... just wish I had some fresh strawberries now!

Robin - the dessert is a hollowed out melon filled with fruit, ice-cream and whipped cream (it sounds fattening, doesn't it ? )

What are your plans for the weekend ? Are you doing anything nice ?

We're not up to much. We're seeing my mum and dad tomorrow morning for breakfast in town. Then Becky is having some friends over for a sleepover tomorrow night (so no doubt Paul & I will head off to the wine bar for a glass of wine or two)

On Sunday, it's Mother's Day over here, so I'm hoping we'll go out for dinner (well we'd better be, as I didn't buy any food for Sunday when I went shopping this morning )

I don't have any plans for the weekend so far but Rick is gone for the entire day tomorrow from really early to really late.

Guess I'll find something to fill the day.

The kids will still be around and my mom, so something will come along.

Hi back at you...

We had a nice weekend...

Had friends over for dinner Sat. night...Turkey burgers, and hot dogs..
Mike played his guitar and we sang...Played Wii..

On Sunday Doug and family stayed for the day...
Made Aebleskiver..(mini pancake like pockets, with fruit in the middle) for breakfast. They are very yummy..saw them on the food network..you have to have a special pan to make them. It makes six per batch...We found one online..They are a lot of fun to make..and a hit with everyone...I cant make them fast enough..LOL

Then for dinner I made pasta , and a great hot sausage pasta sauce...VERY good..(if I do say so myself)
We had our sourdough bread with it...

Today I go for my interview, Its at 5:30 PM???
If I can get enough hrs. with this job...we will still be able to go to Maui...

Its still pretty cold around here ...at night..but the days are getting warmer..NOT warm enough for me though....I will be very happy when the 70 degree weather arrives...
