Rick is feeling a bit better but not 100%. He had a meeting scheduled with an insurance guy and he didn't feel up to it, so here I am in his place.

I'm glad that Rick is feeling better today

Oh yes!! Another visit to the mall is in order!! Got to have those perfect shoes!

The kids are doing great! Chad's busy with the high school soccer team and Carolin is in the middle of softball try-outs. I hate to miss their games while we are gone, but their grandparents will be there to root them on. I'll let them know you were asking about them!

Have fun birthday shopping with Becky tommorrow! Tell her & Kerry I said hello!

I havent been on lately, because we lost connection...and it took them three whole days to fix the darn thing...ITS BEEN AWFUL....Ive had major withdrawl... ....
BUT Im back now...and spent yesterday catching up on it all....Whewwwwww!

I'm getting rather excited about our trip next month! We are finally at the 30 day mark!

Afternoon Girls, I've not long got back from my shopping day with Becky, and we had a great time. She did really well. She got a 'Criminal Damage' jacket and Belly bar from a shop that is similar to Hot Topic. She also got the Ratatouille DVD, a big Remy soft toy and some Britney Spears perfume.

We had a huge breakfast when we arrived then spent over 4 hours looking around the shops

Becky even persuaded me to try on a dress that I wasn't too sure about, and it looked great, so I bought it - yay ! my first Cruise purchase, here it is ..

Anyway, I'm worn out, I'm going to have a cup of tea and put my feet up for 10 minutes

Thank goodness it's nearly the weekend

Has anyone got any plans for this weekend ? We haven't got anything organised. We'll visit Paul's aunt at the nursing home and maybe we'll go to see Vantage Point at the cinema - but other than that, no other plans

Morning ladies.

We have no plans for the weekend as of this moment.

I will most likely be going to a craft show with Liz. We were supposed to go to one a few weeks back but I ended up having to take Alex to the ER in Windsor for his tooth.

We might end up going out for dinner. Remember we had our plans cancelled last weekend because of snow. Nothing has been discussed about going this weekend yet though.

We also have another friend whose husband is in Australia because of work. We are supposed to go out with her at some point too.

Could end up being a busy weekend. Only time will tell for sure.

The nursing home where my dad is, is closed to visitors right now. They had some sort of stomach virus break out last week. So they closed the doors to try and contain it.

Probably the same sickness that Alex and Rick have had.

Another nursing home in town is closed because of a respiratory problem right now too.

Guess it's that time of year.

My Mom is visiting my DS & DDIL... ...For a week!....
So Im going to spend the day doing ME things...
Im a happy lady....

ALSO...I saw ROBINS !!!!!!!...Yesterday...LOTS.....YEA!!!!!

and Red winged blackbirds.....AND flocks of geese have been flying over going north for the last couple of days.....

THERE IS HOPE FOR SPRING!!!!!

Im off to meet my Girlfriend for lunch and then Im going to the mall, and Im going to shop all by myself.....I might even splurge on something, totally unnessessery, and friveless....I have no idea what, LOL....

I havent caught up after missing yesterday, so Im off to read...

Well I didnt go shopping today...
my DGF decided to take the rest of the day off, so I went over to her place and we spent the day together, which was nice as she works alot in her job..and we dont normally get the time we use to...

It was a nice day!

Morning ladies.

Happy to hear that you had time to spend with a friend yesterday Betsy.

I had a mostly good day yesterday.

The weather was great. I shoveled some snow, cleaned up in the garage a bit, did a few other chores I've been putting off around the house.

Barbecued some steak for dinner last night since the sun was shining so nicely

Only not so bright spot in my day yesterday was a visit to the doctor.

I think I told you guys before about my elevated liver enzymes. Well all the blood work comes back within normal limits for all the tests that he did (except for the liver enzymes and my cholesterol numbers).

Now he wants to do a liver biopsy That involves sticking a long needle into your liver and removing some of it for study.

I don't know when I will be getting that done but won't be until almost summer for sure.

I feel absolutely fine, so I will just carry on like always

The weather here is going to be nice again today and for the next few days but not quite as warm.

I think I'm going with Liz to a craft show today.

Yeah, good weather and snow should not necessarily be in the same sentence

The good part was that the weather was warm enough to start melting some of that dreaded snow.

I'm not sure how painful a liver biopsy will be They use a long needle, insert it and remove some of the liver tissue for testing. Probably won't be too bad but I will reserve judgement on that for later

We did not end up doing the craft show because the craft show is not this weekend We were incorrect on the date, it is March 29 and 30th

Instead Rick, Liz, my mom and I took a drive to Michigan to look at trailers or for Mandy.... caravans.

We are thinking about getting a small 5th wheel trailer for when we travel for airplane competitions in the summer time.

So far we are just looking though, not buying.

LOL, fancy getting the Craft Show weekends mixed up Did you see any nice trailers (caravans) ? Years ago (befoe we had the girls), Paul used to do motocross racing, and that got us into caravanning, as we would head down to the track the night before, and we had somewhere to go if the weather wasn't so good. Have fun hunting for your trailer

Liz told me that the craft show was this weekend but I didn't remember seeing any advertising for it.

So I looked it up on the internet and found out she was wrong about the dates

Yes, we did see a couple of nice trailers. We didn't end up with much time for looking though.

We headed for the border and when we got there the line up to go across the bridge to the US was all the way to the Canadian side. Now this bridge is almost 2 miles long, so that is a lot of slow moving cars to get thru the customs agents on the US side.

So that took longer than we expected and we didn't have much shopping time left once we got there.

We did of course have time to go out for dinner before we returned

Today we are having company for dinner. Our English lady friend (they call their trailer a caravan ) is coming over. Her husband is working in Australia for about a month so we thought she could use somebody to talk to and talk is something she loves to do Good thing she has 2 dogs and 2 cats at home to keep her company.

One of Liz's out of town friends is coming to stay until Tuesday also.

Liz and her dad are cooking dinner, so I only have to do some cleanup around the house.

Well it's Monday again (yuck), I'm always glad when it's teatime and I've stopped running around after everybody. I'm taking my mum shopping this morning, then I've got some grocery shopping to do and then I'll be ferrying the girls around this afternoon

Morning all

Had a GREAT weekend!.....Didnt really do anything, but it was fun....Brittany made dinner last night...a nice big salad with grilled chicken on top...very yummy...

I called to see how my mom is fairing...and everything is just ducky....the kids LOVE her being there and she is loving the kids....Lori says its a piece of cake...
I really think she gets bored here with just me and her....Im not that entertaining I guess ...

Im going shopping with my sister...(The one who has my Mom visit every other weekend)..We use to go shopping all the time ...but since her husband has retired and Mom has gotten bad we havent been able to go....
So todays the first time in a few years...Im looking forward to it....
Not really the shopping part , but the spending the day with each other part....


Our plans for WDW may have changed a little ..WE will still be going ...BUT we may be a smaller party...
Britt, hasnt been doing very well in school...Sooo she may not be able to go...as summer school may be in the picture.....So it may not be a birthday trip after all...
We will wait and see....

OK...IM off to get ready for my day!...
