Good morning Mandy

I just saw an owl in my backyard.

I have never seen an owl around here before.

I turned the outside light on to look at the snow and the owl swooped down out of the tree.

Good morning girls

I hope that you're not too tired after losing an hours sleep last night. So for a couple of weeks I'm only 4 hours ahead of you (our clocks go forward at the end of March - I think)

Me and Paul had a lovely evening with our friends last night. Our Indian meal was delicious and we spent the evening talking about Disney (as they were there around Christmas too)

Robin - You were up late last night, how cool to see an owl

Kelly - Did you get any shoes, I hope you had fun shopping

Yes, I was up a bit late last night.

I was hoping that the snowplow would decide to come around before I went to bed.

Technically we are under a snow emergency and my car is not supposed to be parked on the street.

But I have no where else to put it

Do they expect us to hang them from the trees or something

I was going to move my car while they plowed the road but the snowplow did not come so I went to bed.

Of course it came sometime after. They just plowed around it though.

Today I have to go out and move some of that snow. Can't get to the street without going thru hip dip snow piles.

The good part about it at least is that it has been pretty much melting between storms.

If it didn't I'd hate to see how high the snow banks would be.

Couldn't stay home, had two funeral home visitations to go to today.

Tomorrow we (Mom and I) have two funerals to go to, one at 11 and one at 1:30 in towns that are 40 minutes drive apart.

At least we get it all done in one day this way

Morning Girls

Well it's Monday, so it's my busy, busy day. I'm taking my mum shopping, doing some grocery shopping and then ferrying the girls around. We've got torrential rain and severe gale force winds here and it really is going to be a nasty day - I'll be glad when it's tea-time and everyone is home

Robin - I hope everything goes well today, I'll be thinking of you

Today was funeral day.

Everything went well but I've been there and done that and don't need to do it again for a very long long time

I was thinking about funerals on my way home.

I was thinking that I'd like my funeral (if I were planning one) to be totally musical.

I'd like to pick all of my favourite songs or songs that held meaning to me and have them played.

No talking, no preaching just turn the music on and let the songs play.

Hmmm, maybe I will start making my list now so that when I'm old I don't have to try and remember my favourite songs.

What Disney song(s) would you include in such a list of songs? I'm going to have to think about that one.

I've got an easy day today, as my mum doesn't need me. So I'll pop into town, do my exercise DVD and basically chill (while doing some housework)

Since the sun is getting so much stronger now it feels great even if it is still about freezing temperatures.

Hope you all had a great weekend! Sorry I've been kinda scarce! I went shopping on Saturday... couldn't find the perfect shoes but I did get a new swim suit.

CW & I were discussing our funeral arrangements last week, I want to be cremated and have my ashes scattered in the Caribbean while everyone is taking a Disney Cruise at my expense! I don't care too much for graveside services... CW laughed and said he would dress me in a clown outfit, paint my face, and keep me like that! (If I haven't told you guys, I'm scared of clowns) Disney music sounds nice!

Not that I really had a chance to stop and smell them, since they were all at funerals or funeral homes.

Here is a funny story. Yesterday as we were leaving the funeral for the almost 80 year old lady I stopped at the door to wait for my mom.

I looked at the card on the flower arrangement sitting there and it said......

Betty, farewell my love........... your secret admirer.



I made a comment about it and some older ladies who I guess were her friends said they didn't know she had had a secret admirer

Ooooo a mystery

CW, how nasty it would be for him to do that

But you wouldn't know the difference anymore, so

The sun is shining, got my work all caught up, got some errands done

Got home and Rick was puking his guts out

Guess he caught what Alex had Friday night and Saturday

Here is a funny story. Yesterday as we were leaving the funeral for the almost 80 year old lady I stopped at the door to wait for my mom.

I looked at the card on the flower arrangement sitting there and it said......

Betty, farewell my love........... your secret admirer.



I made a comment about it and some older ladies who I guess were her friends said they didn't know she had had a secret admirer

Ooooo a mystery

Rick is feeling a bit better but not 100%. He had a meeting scheduled with an insurance guy and he didn't feel up to it, so here I am in his place.

I'd much rather be home sleeping at this time of day.

I'm not sure of the weather report for today. It's kinda gray out right now but the sun isn't really up yet so it's hard to tell.

Oh yes!! Another visit to the mall is in order!! Got to have those perfect shoes!

The kids are doing great! Chad's busy with the high school soccer team and Carolin is in the middle of softball try-outs. I hate to miss their games while we are gone, but their grandparents will be there to root them on. I'll let them know you were asking about them!

How interesting! I hope I have a secret admirer when I'm that age! You know something... I may put it in my burial plans to send myself flowers with an interesting note from a secret admirer (but I'll tell CW). I'll give everyone something to chat about when I've left.

Tis true!! He's seen a couple of shows on t.v. called "Hauntings". I hope he keeps that in mind while he's planning my funeral!

I havent been on lately, because we lost connection...and it took them three whole days to fix the darn thing...ITS BEEN AWFUL....Ive had major withdrawl... ....
