Nope, only got a bills in the mail today:sad2:

You can keep your snow to yourself Betsy.

I don't want it at all.

Mandy, what a pain to sit around all that time waiting for nothing:headache:

Morning Girls

Betsy - I hope you're nice and warm in the snow. I hate the idea of getting cold - I'm not a Winter person at all

So, what have you all got planned for the weekend ?

We're not doing much today, just going to see Paul's elderly Aunt, and then tonight my friend is hosting a Body Shop party, so I may treat myself to some smellies or make-up

Tomorrow Paul & I are going to Birmingham and having lunch there and the girls are going to see the Nuneaton Christmas lights being switched on

Have a great weekend

Morning ladies,

Kelly,
Im so glad you had a fun trip...cant wait for the pictures....

Mandy,
I am indeed nice and warm...the one thing I DO like about the winter is my fireplace...I LOVE a nice cozy fire:cloud9:
It snowed all day yesterday...BUT I can still see my grass...So it didnt accumulate too much.....

Robin,
Hows the dancing going???.....

Well I found this in my email box...and thought it was just sooo cool...So Im sharing it with you all....:o Brought a tear to my eye,... I have to admit...

Angel in the Postal Service

This is one of the kindest things I've ever experienced. I have no way to know who sent it, but there is a kind soul working in the dead letter office of the US postal service.

Our 14 year old dog, Abbey, died last month. The day after she died, my 4 year old daughter Meredith was crying and talking about how much she missed Abbey. She asked if we could write a letter to God so that when Abbey got to heaven, God would recognize her. I told her that I thought we could so she dictated these words: Dear God, Will you please take care of my dog? She died yesterday and is with you in heaven. I miss her very much. I am happy that you let me have her as my dog even though she got sick. I hope you will play with her. She likes to play with balls and to swim. I am send ing a picture of her so when you see her you will know that she is my dog. I really miss her.

Love, Meredith.

We put the letter in an envelope with a picture of Abbey and Meredith and addressed it to God/Heaven. We put our return address on it. Then Meredith pasted several stamps on the front of the envelo pe because she said it would take lots of stamps to get the letter all the way to heaven. That afternoon she dropped it into the letter box at the post office. A few days later, she asked if God had gotten the letter yet. I told her that I thought He had.

Yesterday, there was a package wrapped in gold paper on our front porch addressed, "To Meredith" in an unfamiliar hand. Meredith opened it. Inside was a book by Mr. Rogers called, "When a Pet Dies." Taped to the inside front cover was the letter we had written to God in its opened envelope. On the opposite page was the picture of Abbey & Meredith and this note:

Dear Meredith,

Abbey arrived safely in heaven.
Having the picture was a big help. I recognized Abbey right away. Abbey isn't sick anymore. Her spirit is here with me just like it stays in
your heart. Abbey loved being your dog. Since we don't need our bodies in heaven, I don't have any pockets to keep your picture in, so I am sending it back to you in this little book for you to keep and have something to remember Abbey by.

Thank you for the beautiful letter and thank your mother for helping you write it and sending it to me. What a wonderful mother you have. I picked her especially for you. I send my blessings every day and remember that I love you very much. By the way, I am wherever there is love.

Love, God

Good morning ladies.

Rick and I are going to friends this afternoon.

The guys are playing with their airplane simulators.

The ladies will probably just talk or read books or do puzzle books if we get bored of talking;)

Tomorrow is Alex's birthday. He will be 24 years old. Oh my, where did all of the years go :confused3

I'm not sure if he will even be home, so no birthday celebrations have been planned.

Have a great weekend, everyone.

Good morning my friends.

What is happening today?

Today is Alex's birthday. He is 24 today.

I need to throw together a dinner for the grandparents.

I don't feel like doing it:confused3

That means I not only have to cook but I must clean:guilty:

I guess I should just get my rear in gear and get some work done.

Have a lovely day everyone.

Hi Girls

Robin - Please wish Alex a very happy birthday from me. I hope he has a lovely day, and I hope you enjoy it too, even though you are doing all the washing and cooking

I've had a lovely day. Its been raining all day, but me and Paul took off to Birmingham and I bought this

410205284554_th.jpg

It's a Christmas ornament that has a tealight at the back of it, and it is really cute

Paul & I also had dinner while we were out shopping and the girls had a KFC - I do like this kind of Sunday dinner - no cooking and no washing up -perfect :thumbsup2

The girls have just gone to town to see the Christmas lights being switched on, unfortunately it's still raining and quite cold - but I'm sure they'll have fun with their friends. I just hope it dries up for 10 minutes so that the fireworks can be lit

Enjoy the rest of your weekend

I love that ornament Mandy.:thumbsup2

No cooking and no cleaning, yup, that's my idea of a good day too.

I made a big dinner of roast beef, mashed potatoes and other stuff to go along with it.

I didn't make a big deal about cleaning my house though.

Figured I didn't want it to be too clean or they would expect it of my all of the time;)

How did the girls enjoy the Christmas lighting?

How did the girls enjoy the Christmas lighting?

Well they saw the Christmas lights switch on and the fireworks, but they were home pretty quickley as it was so wet and cold

We had our first snow of the Winter last night, thankfully it had all melted by this morning (as I hate driving in it)

I hope you have a great day girls :thumbsup2

Good Morning Gals....:surfweb:
I'm ready for TK....:goodvibes
I have it easy this year....MY DIL and DS are having it at their house....
All I have been asked for is a baked ham..(EASY)...and wine..(EVEN EASIER):teeth:

Well I woke up to about 6 inches of snow here, and its still snowing...:santa:
Good thing the lawn chairs and things got put away...
Mike and Julia did it for me yesterday...as I was cooking a big porkchop supper ...It was a replacement for the TK dinner we wont be having with the girls...as they are staying home for TK and putting their tree up( its their tradition)...
We dont put ours up until 2-3 weeks befor...
The snow looks very pretty, but I could do without it,.... to tell the truth...;)

Im still doing my Hawaii research....Wow ..according to the book Im reading...The poor people...have been pretty much taken over by most who have gone there....in history...
There are very few natives left...not just the people, but the wildlife and the plants.....Its kind of sad....
BUT boy some of the pictures I have been coming up with are just so beautiful...If I ever make it there...Im going to be sure to play in one of their waterfalls...AND horseback ride in the surf...:thumbsup2

I uploaded some pictures yesterday...Ill try to post some befor the end of today....IF I can get all the cleaning done that was left from yesterday....We were a messy bunch this weekend for some reason:laundy: :scared: :confused3

Have a great day ya'll...and Ill be back...:teleport:

TTFN..:wave2:

Good morning ladies.

Mandy, I'm glad that your snow has melted.

I don't really like snow that much either.

Betsy, I wish that your snow would melt for you, so I will send warm and happy thoughts your way :goodvibes :sunny: :teeth:

Kelly, are you getting all caught up after your little trip.

How did the kids end up handling you being away:confused3

Yup and that price was for a category 12 gty cabin:thumbsup2

At least I would only need to make the deposit of $600.00 right now.

I've got time to save up for the rest of it;)

Hey wait, that's the price for any cabin I want onboard, up to category 4.

Guess I'll take that verandah cabin this time:goodvibes

Hi all!

I'm still trying to get caught up at work and home! The kids made out fine other than Carolin texting me at 3:30 a.m. every day to wish me a good morning:goodvibes ... I think we averaged a total of 70 text messages each day I was gone. She cried while I was gone and kept telling me how much she missed me! That quickly changed once I got home! :lmao:

I love the letter from God that was posted, I teared up as well! It's nice to know there are still kind people out there!

And a late Happy Birthday to Alex! Hope he had a great birthday yesterday!:goodvibes

Great photos Kelly, it's nice to know that the kids missed you (even if it didn't last :rotfl2: :rotfl2: )

Robin, that's one big quote there :thumbsup2 but at least it was a small deposit :rotfl: :rotfl:

Betsy, it sounds like you had a lovely weekend, and I love the sound of horseback riding in the surf in Hawaii

I love the pictures Kelly.

Thanks for sharing.

So how did you survive the flights:confused3

I know you were a bit nervous about it.

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I'm laughing now :lmao:

My wacky neighbour is trying to get the jump on me this week.

He put his garbage out a few minutes ago;)

My car was NOT parked in it's normal spot and that spot is open right now.:lmao:

So he "Parked" his garbage right in the middle of the open spot:rotfl:

Now technically he is not allowed to put his garbage at the road until after 7:00pm on the evening before garbage pick up is scheduled, which is tomorrow.

Hmmmm, now just where am I going to park my car tonight :scratchin

I'm not sure that I should actually touch his garbage because it is not directly blocking any access to my vehicles.

Hmmmm, maybe I will just have to let him "win" this week and make sure that I have my car in the proper position earlier next week.

Oh Robin, it's never a dull moment with your loony neighbour :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Just a little reminder for you ..
