I'm not going to have problems with the weight loss thing. Mostly because the food here is not so good. It makes me really miss my mom's cooking. it also makes me miss the food on the Disney cruise. especilly the french fries at pluto's. I LOVE those french fries. It sounds like my mom is feeling better. She says she feels ok as long as she takes tylonal every six hours. The only excersion that my family is doing is the bicking, snorkling, and float rent thing. were not even getting off the boay at Nassua. I have talked my mom and dad into a night at Palo's though because it is My mom's birthday the first night were on the cruise.

You guys crack me up! I better bring some depends while cruising with you guys :teeth:

I'm so looking forward to this cruise. :Pinkbounc <~~~ see I'm exercising too. Better stop though so I have energy for later :dancer: :rotfl2:

The other cruise in November, well I don't really care so much if one person doesn't like me or not. We're going on a huge Royal Carribean ship that we've never been on before, for a 7 day cruise which we've never done longer than 4 days before and going to places we've never been before...... lots of things to keep me happy and occupied :thumbsup2

The TK/Jan07 cruise is all about you guys. Getting together with MY friends and hanging out if anybody is available and wants to. :goodvibes

I'm in on the weightloss challenge :thumbsup2

I was going to start on it this week anyways. I want to get out of the overweight section of the BMI charts :guilty: I only need to lose about 10 pounds to do it.

I lost 30 pounds about a year ago and have managed to keep most of that off. Hopefully I can go at least another 10 maybe 15 before January. :thumbsup2

I've tentatively signed up for 6 hours of dance classes this year, so we'll see how it goes.

I might not need Richard Simmons to lose this last bit of weight. Last time Richard Simmons was my best friend :p I used his exercise videos to help me lose the 30 pounds. I don't really like the man but I liked his style of exercise, which is very close to dancing :dance3:

So EVERYBODY who wants to participate......... today is the first day of the rest of our (slimmer) lives :woohoo:

I don't drink alot, but a BAHAMA MAMA while laying on the beach sounds good right now... (What does this drink have in it?) 'cause drinking anything while on the beach sounds nice!

:wave2: Hey Jennifer

Glad you've made your decision about sticking with your balcony ~ I think this is going to be one very romantic cruise for you and your hubby.

The main ingredients in a Bahama Mama are dark rum, malibu rum, orange juice and pineapple juice with a dash of grenadine ~ lovely

Suzi ~ I hope your mum is OK

Mandy :)

Good to hear that your mom is feeling better! I'd settle for any of the DCL food, I just can't wait for the midnite chocolate buffet!!! Yummy!

I think I like all of those things...i hate coconut and so many drinks on the cruise have that flavoring....

I'll join Many for a BAHAMA MAMA one day....maybe we can have our own BAHAMA MAMA PARTY.

I'll leave that up to the bahama mama lovers!

Sounds good to me :thumbsup2

Oh boy... I think I'm in trouble now!! I was showing dad the other shore excursions in Nassau (BTW... thanks Colleen for the link) and on it was the golf course he saw last time we stopped there.

He said to find out more info, but... I'm sure mom thinks that she'll get a break from golf while we our on the cruise

It looks like there may be girl time on the ship :teeth: Most of the DH's in our group will prob jump ship for that one :rotfl2:

Thanks for correcting my spelling -- I truly meant that I'd join you, Mandy, for a Bahama Mama...but many are still invited! :goodvibes

I have a new signature to help motivate me with our exercies/weight loss challenge. The cruise is excellent motivation for me!!

jennifer

:rotfl:

Good for you Jennifer!! :thumbsup2

The hula girl on your ticker should help to motivate :teeth: ! I'm gonna put my face on a model's body posing in a bathing suit on my fridge.

That'll prob keep DS out of the kitchen :sad2:

So does this mean you have an hour of exercise behind you!? :woohoo:

Not a full hour, but one time...I couldn't figure the ticker out...I will go back and update it to day times...my real goal is 3 x a week...not 3 hours. SOmetimes it will be 20 minutes for me, sometimes an hour. I just need to get moving again. pirate:

Jennifer ~ I love your tickers, they should keep you motivated

This is my ticker that I have on the UK Community weekly weigh-in

I don't think I'm going to do too well this week as I'm off out for a meal with my friend on Wednesday and that usually includes a chocolatey ice-cream dessert. Maybe I'll weigh myself Wednesday morning instead of Friday this week (LOL)

:wizard: :wizard: Good Luck everyone with your weight losses :wizard: :wizard:

Mandy :)

Jennifer...20 minutes is definately better than none! I think that's the usual they ask... I have fallen in love with a pilates dvd. Just need to set some time aside to actually do it :goodvibes

Mandy... good luck with your Wed. meals! I'm also starting to take papaya enzymes to help break down the foods. The G.I. specialist had also said that my system doesn't want to breakdown proteins that well, but nothing to worry about. I have to make sure I keep a regular check up with them every so often :thumbsup2

We will be each other's support group! Okey dokey?? :p

Uh, oh, Jennifer has some serious new countdown timers in her signature. :smooth:

It will a challenge for all of us.

I hope that I'm up to the task. popcorn::

Oh, I would suggest that if you are on a weight loss regime that you take all of your measurements before you start and update them now and again.

Sometimes it seems like you aren't losing any weight but you are actually losing inches in your measurements for some reason.

Hi All

Okay I'm in on the weight loss challenge...I guess that means I need to step on the scale (I hid it during the bathroom remodel) gotta dig it out from somewhere (not my bestfriend). I should do okay with the exercise since I've started spinning in the past couple of weeks!! :woohoo:

Jennifer congrats on the decision to keep the room with a view! :teeth: Also pack your own cheap snorkle and fins and then DH is set for snorkeling!! I plan to pack my own, much cheaper!!

Hope everyone has a great day and gets their exercise in!! Robin sounds like you'll get all 3 days done at once :rotfl:

Chat more later :grouphug:

Hi Sue!! How's life treating you? Glad to see you're doing well!!

I gotta head out, I'll chat later :wave2:

Okay, I found the dreaded scale (I told you it is not my friend :rotfl: ), I also think it lies  !!! Anyway, I checked in with it today :confused3 Didn't do the measurements though...this is a 10# challenge right??

Chat more later :grouphug:

Hey where is everyone??? :confused3

Here is my report did great with the exercise 30min on stairmaster and 20 min on stationary bike, but the eating department not so good, pizza and popcorn tonight popcorn:: :scared1: But it was yummy!!

Chat more later :grouphug:

:wave2: Susan

You can look at it this way....... at least you did the exercise to offset the eating :p

I ate a fair amount today but I did somewhere around 2 and 1/2 hours of dance (3 hours minus 1/2hour for talking, drink getting etc. ;) )
