Oh, I wanted to ask.

How often do you guys weigh yourself?

I have a very bad habit of stepping on the scale everyday :sad2: It's so hard for me to ignore the scale when it's always right there in front of me in the bathroom.

I also looked for a measuring tape. I don't have one! :teeth:

GlaD to have you, sorry you can't join the cruise.

Okay I'm running crazy, but not exercise type running. No work out points today.

Water :drinking: :drinking: :drinking: Gotta remember the water. GOOD POINT.

I plan only weighing in once a week. More than that and I get overly worked up that it's not working.

I haven't found a tape measure either.

Still, I feel good to be starting.

Hey how about a few guidelines?..

1) Weigh yourself only once a week and report loss or gain to group (not the actual ##) Shall we all pick a date to weigh? And weigh first thing in the am?

2) Report good ideas on food and exercise.

3) Report amount of exercise when you post if you exercise, remember this is your own weight loss challenge we are just here to help you along.

4) Be supportive only, of course we can discuss our slip ups, but everyone has to support each other. (I probably didn't need to say that since this is such a great group...but you never know who comes a lurkin/postin.)

5) Also remember this is our cruise thread, although we are losing pre-cruise, there may be some not participating and we don't want to lose anyone by just talking diet/exercise.

Anymore suggestions? Lets have fun with this.

By the way Mandy, when cruise is on diet is off right??...or do we have to skip breakfast for the BahamaMama's?? :rotfl: :lmao:
 
Unfortunately working the next couple of days....probably won't get to lurk or post much, but plan to catch up before the weekend.

I can't see this group staying on just one topic!

So, what day do we want to weigh-in? I'm game for anything...except I still have to go buy a scale that works. The only reason I know basically what I weigh today is that I was at the DR. last week.

Yikes, that might be just a little too scary ;)

Personally I used to weigh myself everyday but got away from it lately. Even though I weighed myself everyday I picked a certain day of the week to be my weigh in day and that's the weight that counted for that week.

Somebody pick a day of the week and that's the day we will use for weigh in day. Doesn't matter to me which day it is.
 
I'm starting to look at airfare prices for the cruise.

I'm going to keep an eye on it and watch for any sales that might come along. :rolleyes1

We haven't decided for sure yet when we will be arriving but at least the day before the cruise.

Sitting on the runway, during an ice storm, waiting to take off and not knowing if we would make it to the ship, cured us of flying in on the same day as the cruise. ;)

I am guilty of this too, I do tend to jump on the scales every morning, but usually my 'weigh in' day is a Friday morning. I've weighed myself this morning as I'm off out for a meal tonight and I lost a pound

I can assure you that my diet will end around the 28th December, there is no way that I'll be watching what I eat in WDW :rotfl: :rotfl:

So very true! I am crossing my fingers that I get a good report from Chad's teachers at the PTA meeting tonite... He says that school is great, homework is being done, and so far... no negative issues from teachers! We've been through alot in the past, it would be great to have a year with hardly any drama :goodvibes

After weighing myself and getting discouraged every morning, I've chosen to do it once a week :teeth:

Sue... great idea with the guidelines! I think we should weigh ourself every Friday in the morning. What do you guys think?

I remember DISUNC posting (on tkers thread) airfare when he flew somewhere, it was $89 one way. I wonder if this applies to your area, I looked it up and sure enough it was $89... but couldn't talk DH into getting on a plane :guilty:

I'll keep my eyes open for ya!!
