Hey Girls

I'm pleased to say, that the snow didn't come today, though it is blooming freezing here

Have you got any plans for the weekend ? We haven't got any plans as yet, except it's my birthday on Sunday when my Disney age will be 8 (I'll be 44 :sad1: so 4 + 4 = 8)

Enjoy the rest of your day

It's pretty chilly here too Mandy and we also have snow covering the ground again.

Our livingroom tv died last night so Rick went out tonight and bought a new one.

The other one was 14 years old, so I guess it did okay.

I had to take the cat to the vet today.

He was in a little fight a couple weeks ago and was limping a bit on his left hind leg. He seemed to recover pretty quickly from it but yesterday he started limping really badly and hardly stepping on that foot.:confused3

He went outside for a bit and came back in that way. I don't know if he jumped on it funny or slipped on the ice or something.

The vet couldn't really find a reason but thought maybe he had pulled or stretched some ligaments. She gave us some pain medication for him and there really isn't much we can do but wait and see what happens.

I feel really bad for him though because it looks horrible when he is trying to walk. Doesn't seem to cause him any pain though.

I'm trying to make him stay inside for a few days and give it some rest. Of course he wanted out tonight so I went out with him for about 10 minutes. He was happy with that and came right back in.

Robin... I'll have to check that out! And put the Universal tix on my Christmas wishlist for next Christmas!:goodvibes I hope your cat feels much better:wizard: It's hard seeing them hurting like that, especially since they can't tell you exactly what ails them.

Mandy... I like your way of aging:rotfl2: Have you seen the WDW commercials where the adults are children in the mirror? When you explained your Disney age, it reminded me of the commerical... I'm sure Paul will do something special for you!:thumbsup2

CW and I were talking last night and we are hoping to spend New Years Eve in WDW before our cruise. Has anyone been there on New Years Eve?

Hey Girls

Robin - Sorry to hear that your cat isn't well, I hope it's better soon

Kelly - Oooh, you lucky girl to be in WDW for New Years Eve, we were there last year and we had a fantastic time in Epcot. We were given party hats and blowers and although it was packed, there was a brilliant atmosphere

We don't have the commercial you talking about over here, it sounds like fun, and definitely us :rotfl2:

We're all going to our fave Chinese buffet for Sunday lunch for my birthday, so woohoo, no cooking or washing up to be done :thumbsup2

Paul bought me a lovely Captain Mickey Mouse statue for my birthday when we were on the Cruise, so I'll post a photo when I get it

Betsy - What have you been up to ?

Have a great weekend everyone :thumbsup2

Yummy... Chinese buffet sounds delicious!! A Captain Mickey statue, you lucky duck!!!!! I can't wait to see the pics!

So the rumor of WDW being packed on New Years eve is true, I thought I had read somewhere that they even begin to turn people away because of crowd capacity.

Did they have fireworks at Epcot?

We didn't get into Epcot till about 4pm and we saw the UK New Year in (at 7pm) where all us Brits met at the UK Pavillion with a drink or two :rotfl: :rotfl:

I'm sure that there were fireworks at different times throughout the evening, but I think we only lasted out till 8pm, so we didn't see them

I guess it depends on what you want to do, if you want to do the rides, then you'll be in for waits of 3 to 4 hours for the main ones like Test Track or Soarin'. We only wanted to go for the atmosphere, and spent most of our time in World Showcase

I really hope that I am in WDW for next New Years Eve, as NYE here isn't half as much fun as it is in WDW

Hi Betsy!! Enjoy your shopping at the pet store! I love fish tanks, they are sooo relaxing to watch and listen to. I just can't keep the poor, little fish alive.:confused3

Mandy, come on and join us for NYE at WDW!!! We Americans can met you Brits for a little drinky-poo :lmao:

If you need some fish for that tank Betsy, I've got a couple hundred guppies that I'd like to give away :fish:

We've never spent New Years Eve in a Disney park before.

We have been to Epcot on New Years Day before though. It was nice and quiet, no long lines, great :thumbsup2

We still haven't got any plans for today, though chilling at home doing nothing sounds like a plan to me :thumbsup2 Have a great day
