I still can't believe how close our holiday is. I've been working so hard to get Christmas organised, that the holiday really has creeped up on me

Robin - once Christmas is out the way, then your Cruise will be nearly here. I'm so pleased that you are alot better and I hope you enjoyed your dancing

Kelly - I really hope that the 2009 rates come out very soon. I'm sad (LOL) I get excited just booking a Cruise

Betsy - I hope your lunch day went well

What are your plans for the weekend ?

Mandy, I do feel like crying! But then I opened a letter and it made me smile (and remember... I gotta get doing my Christmas cards ). Thanks!!! Evidentally it got mixed up with mom's mail while we were gone

Robin, any snow up your way? Looks like you guys have gotten so pretty cold temps!

I can't wait to start my weekend! Got lots of Christmas shopping to do... time to get busy

Hello Ladies,

My shopping day yesterday went well...I got quite a few things done, that I needed to do....and Its a good thing because,
I had an early start, to a busy morning....But...Im done for the day,,,,

AND....
DMs all ready to go to my DSis's for the weekend...

Mike and I have a date tonight....

We are going to open a bottle of wine, sit by the nice cozy fire, and in the glow of the Christmas tree lights........

THEN.......

Sunday afternoon,we are going to wrap presents!( there is a mountain of them!) ,...Romantic Huh?.... ..
Maybe watch an old Christmas movie....Like "The gathering", or "White Christmas"....while we wrap....
Hey, We will just be happy to be alone for a while...

Then we're having all the kids and Gkids over for Christmas carols, and Hot cocoa....
I'll order pizza, and be cooking up a big batch of B. Hotwings, ...It should be alot of fun!

Anybody else have Any weekend plans?....

Hi Girls

Everything is mad here. We are trying to keep on top of Christmas, and next week I am playing Santa and delivering all the nephews and neices their Christmas money.

On Sunday we're going to dinner with my mum and dad, which should be nice,
and tomorrow Paul and I are making a mad dash to the local shopping centre for one last present

I am so looking forward to starting my packing and concentrating on my Crimbo trip

Betsy - It sounds like you're going to have a lovely weekend. Enjoy your 'own' time with Mike. That bottle of wine sounds like a great idea

Robin - I hope you had a lovely day, what did you end up doing ?

Kelly - I take it you received my Christmas card ? Have a lovely weekend shopping, have fun

Kelly its been quite chilly here but so far we haven't gotten a lot of snow.

I just checked the weather on line though and we are under a winter storm watch. Expecting a snow storm this weekend I guess. I hope not. I hate snow. I do like blizzards though when I'm inside and have no where to go. It's kind of neat.

Mandy, I ended up doing some shopping today. Just a bit, a few more Christmas gifts. Other than that I dont' know what I did with the rest of the day

So far so good, no snow.

But it will probably be starting in the next few hours.

There is now a freezing rain warning issued for our area.

It's pretty dark looking outside but I have nowhere I need to go, so I can just stay home and hibernate for the evening and tomorrow.

Liz does have to work tonight though and Alex says he is going out with friends.

It is absolutely pouring down this morning - yuck !

We haven't got too much on today, Paul & I are off to see his elderly aunt this morning and then we're all meeting my mum and dad for lunch at a country pub for a carvery meal (Mmm)

It's a gloomy dreary day here today.

We did have snow overnight but it's pretty much all melted away with the rain we've had since

I've just been hanging around home, working on laundry today.

Morning Girls

I had a lovely meal yesterday. We had a carvery, I had turkey & beef with lots of vegetables. We had a lovely time just chatting and I finished off my meal with a calypso coffee (coffee with Tia Maria - Mmm).

I've got a very busy day today, I taking my mum shopping, starting to deliver Christmas presents, and running around after the girls

Well about 1/2 an hour after typing my last post, I ended up doubled-up on the sofa with severe stomach cramps - even Kerry is off college with the same thing

So my very busy day has ended up boring and quiet, as I can't risk leaving the house

Nevermind, at least I feel a bit better now

Mandy I hope you are feeling better...

Well Friday went as planned..We had a very nice tme and wrapped alot of presents...
Sat.we went and finished our C. shopping...(Except, my Mom and I still have to get something for my DGF)...
BUT our Christmas Carols party onSunday was a wash...the weather was so bad we didnt even make it to church...So we called it off until next Sunday...
and just as well, as I am getting a doozie of a cold...hopefully it will be all gone by next week....

Its my cleaning day today....Even tho we didnt have the carol party, we still has the DGGs over as normal....and Can we make a mess...
We DID play a really fun game..."Scene it, Disney version"...So it wasnt a total loss of a day.....

Well I better get moving,(not that Im in a big hurry to clean, but the sooner I get started , the sooner Ill get done).....
Have I ever told you all how much I hate to clean?..LOL.... I should have married rich, so I could afford a better maid ...As it is the maid we now have, leaves every time I go out the door...

How did the cleaning go Betsy.

I've been dealing with a non working telephone today and I also had to go into work for a bit.

The phone is functional again. The wires were corroded outside at the house.

Alex drove all the way to the college today to find out it was closed because of the weather. It takes him 4 hours of so to get there. So he has spent the day in his hotel room, probably sleeping or playing on his computer.

It's extremely windy here today and chilly too.

I'm feeling much better this morning. I can't believe that I lost 3lbs yesterday after that 24 hr bug, but thankfully I'm back to normal

Hopefully I've got a busy day today, as I catch up with everything I should've done yesterday

Mandy it looks like Christmas here today. ...woke up to about 6 inches and are suppose to get 6 more by tonight..... Ill be stuck home as I hate to drive in the snow....

I was not feeling great yesterday either...and I actually lost about three lbs. too! ....But I KNOW it wont last,...

Hey there everyone.

It's been pretty windy and chilly here but so far we've been lucky with our basically lacking amount of snow. We've had bits and pieces of snowfalls but they never stayed very long.

I had to go to work again today.

I know that I did not lose 3 pounds yesterday

I was too busy eating all those licorice allsorts while I was talking to Cally on the threadkillers thread

I've got a mad day today. I going to have my hair cut this morning which I'm a bit worried about, as I've had the same style for about 5 years

Tonight I'm off out with a couple of friends for our Christmas party. We're having a meal and we're watching dog racing at the same time - so that should be fun. I've never been to the dogs before, but I'm sure we'll have a great time
