Kelly- Wow!! congratulations on your potential New member of the family. I didn't go back enough pages...what's his first name? He's 17? Does he have college plans? I can't express the respect I have for you for taking in someone else's child, especially one who's nearly and adult. Sending p and pd every day for things to work out in time for a smooth, quiet, holiday season and transition through the new year. :wizard:

Hey Wendy!! Hope you've been doing okay! :teeth:

We are 99% sure he's being placed with us but on 50% sure they'll allow him to cruise with us :guilty:

His name is Jimmy and he turned 17 on Sunday! :goodvibes As for college, he wants to go into the service first, then a college! I'm not sure about that, once he moves in... we will meet with his guidance counselors and talk with him at home about all of his options!

I want him to have every oppportunity available like my own kids would! :teeth:

He's already fitting right in with us ("The Clumsey's - sp?). Last night at wrestling practice he busted his eye open (under the brow) and required 2 stitches and a 4 hour stay in the ER  Seems like we were just there for Chad :sad2:

Hey Wendy, it's great to hear from you. Glad you got the package OK and I'm pleased you like my tree. :thumbsup2 Did you tell your kids about the Cruise at Thanksgiving ? or are you waiting till Christmas ? I'm looking forward to meeting you all

Hi Kelly, I love your booty-kicking smiley, good luck with getting your list sorted :lmao: Did you do anything nice for Jimmy's birthday ? I hope he enjoyed his day

Mandy :)

Betsy-how is Einstien dealing with the classes? I remember taking my siberian husky to classes years ago, (McKinley... I miss her. :guilty: ) and had to switch from group to private classes until she could handle having other dogs barking at her. She was abused, and jumped to 4 or 5 different homes within 5 months when I got her. I was actually living in PA at the time. The classes were really helpful. I think I drove to Clarks Summit for the classes, but I can't really remember now. I do know the instuctor was in a wheelchair, which was cool, because I trained my dog. He would give me instructions in english and I would give them to "Mickey" in german. Enjoy the classes they can be a lot of fun the dog and thier human! :rolleyes1 :lmao: Thanks for the card, and wait till you get ours....my penmanship is horrible and I have no excuse! :rotfl:

Paula & Jennifer- miss hearing from you guys...post soon! :Pinkbounc

Kelly, please pass on our Birthday wishes to Jimmy :)

We had a bday party on Saturday for Jimmy and Sunday took him bowling. He put us to shame with the scores. :lmao: I will pass on bday wishes to him, thanks!

Wendy, Didn't know if you knew Jennifer had to change cruise plans :guilty: Maybe we can all get together we she takes her cruise, guess I better get this one out of the way first

You really got this parenting thing down!....I get goosebumps reading your posts when you talk about your kids...all 3 (4 if you count dh :lmao: ) of 'em. It's obvious from you posts that you care so deeply for them. You sound like a truely wonderful family. So you think you might be interested in starting over with a little one? We had a little scare nearly 2 wks ago. I had a tubal ligation a few yrs ago, but I know 4 families that after the ligation....yrs after, they ended up pregnant again. Well, I was more than a week late. :scared1:. Eric made the mistake of saying he could get used to the idea of having a baby around again.... :scared1: :scared1: (that's smilie for double yikes!!) Well, I'm not pregnant. :duck: And I'm happy about it. I don't know if I could go back to caring for a little, little baby again. I would if I had to, but I would rather enjoy my neices son when he is born and borrow him every now and then. :teeth:

Thanks Wendy! I think you are a great mom, too! You step up and make sure they are taken care of, that is great! Alot of moms would just say there isn't anything they could do about certain things...

:goodvibes I could only hope a good scare like that comes my way! :teeth: I'm glad it worked out for you! I had my tubes tied when I was 21.... :sad2: yup, a child at age 19 and then one at 21! My nickname was "Fertile Myrtle" :lmao: , won't go into detail about it! But both kids were a huge suprise

Now the past 5 yrs, I've been going thru some kind of phase where I "long to hear the pitter patter of little feet" :cloud9: DH says a brand new yellow lab puppy oughta do :sad2:

Hiya Wendy,

Einstein really likes the lessons I think...He thinks of it all as playing with treats...Last week was the first week we had another dog in class with us...a huskey..Einstein is not too sure of him, because Whenever Einstein goes up to him to make friends(Einstein thinks EVERYONE will love him), the huskey barks ..BUt I think if we kind of stay on the other side of the area... they will get used to each other.......
We also do "loose leash" walking through the store(Petsmart)..and he LOVES that , because we get to go look at the girbles and birds...and even CATS behind glass...So far he's very good about it..and doesnt try to "get" them...Just looks... :teeth:

Well, besides the pregnancy scare, we have been soooo busy. Trying to get Randall to all his appointment before the vacation so I can really relax during the cruise. Yesturday he went to the regular dr., got weighed and measured. He lost 1 1/2 lbs last week!! (and he wasn't even trying.) He goes back on Jan 2nd to be weighed and measured again. Hopefully he won't have lost anymore weight! Last night I had volleyball. My team is 1st out of 4. I was hoping we would lose...because I really don't have time to play anymore, now we play the 11th and the 18th. Today he goes to the dentist. He went last month but the work they had to do was a bet distressing for Randall. They finished what they started and he goes back today to have the rest done! Tonight Randall has pee wee basketball from 7-8. He started last week. He's having a good time. I'm proud he's trying, he's never wanted to play on a team before so this is a big deal for him. Tomorrow I am gonna try to get more christmas shopping done. I have quite a bit done. I just bought a wireless weather station and some really good llong johns for my mothers birthday this weekend (she takes care of a senior citezen housing development and spends most of the winter shoveling, plowing, and salting the walks. For Christmas I bought her a pair of jade earrings and some of that new silicone bakeware I keep seeing and hearing about. Then I bought quarter candy machine for my dad for christmas. We also get him a collector truck from my husbands store every year. (he now has 5, my M-I-L has been collecting them for years and years.) They really like the Olive Garden, so I like to get them a certificate to go out to eat too. I mostly just have to buy for my neices and nephews and I usually get them either movie theatre cards or resturaunt certificates. Thursday, Randall goes to the spina bifida clinic. He is scheduled for an ultrasound also. It's a long boring day for both of us. Thursday night is TKD night, plus we have to leave early because Randall had basketball practice. Friday I have plans to collapse! :faint: :lmao: I even had to cancel my massage for this week, I just couldn't fit it in!!

Awwwwwww!! Sounds like he really likes it! :goodvibes

Mandy, he's been trying to talk me into this "new baby" for a year now! I think we have plenty, he just got two beagal puppies a couple of months ago. He loves them though, I think sometimes more than me :lmao:

Betsy, good luck with Einstein! He sounds so much like a little kid, I know you guys enjoy him! :goodvibes

Wendy, I'll shut my mouth now! Boy... I thought I was busy, I cannot complain now. Good luck with your schedule over the next few weeks, I would be pulling my hair out

Mandy :)

We are staying at Animal Kingdom Lodge for 3 nights before the cruise. Afterwards, we are headed back to Maine!! I got my online checkin done for our party. I was thinking of booking a couples massage for dh and I, but I haven't decided yet. I really need to concentrate on paying off my credit cards as much as possible before we leave. Don't need it too high beforehand,....gotta have room for all those margaritas on the ship! :teeth:

Oh Wendy, I am so jealous, have you stayed there before ? It always looks so beautiful in the holiday brochures :)

Oh, both of you are lucky ducks staying at a resort before the cruise!

Wendy, you've heard about our meet at Diversions between 2 and 3 p.m. before the sailaway party right?

See you guys later, go to go to the dr. for a physical. Next to the last step to have Jimmy officially part of our family

Talk to ya later! :grouphug:

I just wanted to pop in and say a good ol' SOuthern HEY!

I am still a little sad we can't go on the cruise, but glad the decision is made and that DH will be making extra money in January. We really need it. :goodvibes

I'll be SOOOOOO glad when that other house sells. Then maybe I can talk DH into moving our new cruise up to this year. HOPE HOPE HOPE.

I am not very organized this holiday season and my Christmas cards may become Valentines cards. Please don't think I've forgotten YOU! We've had one plague after another here and I'm just trying to take care of the basics, then I'll address envelopes!

Okay guys, I'm a wee bit jealous of your cruise...so wish I was going to meet all of you in person. BUT I AM HOPING YOU HAVE A RESTFUL and ENERGIZING cruise to start off your 2007.

ALL THE BEST!
jennifer

Hi Jennifer

It's great to hear from you. It's such a shame that you're not coming with us, but I wish you lots of luck with selling your house and I hope you have a fantastic Christmas and a wonderful New Year

Yes, I've noted the place and time, thanks. Now I just need to remember to take my datebook on vacation.

I guess it's time I shower for the day. Yup, I'm still in jammies. I've been a little congested for the last week. Hoping to get over it and get well in time for the holidays and vacation!! Gotta pick up the kids at school today, they like that, they get out at 2:20, but if they ride the bus, they get home at 3:15!! :sad2: But I don't pick them up everyday, just when one of them has an appt or if I'm working at the lumber co....it's a halfblock from the school! :)
Enjoy your day everyone!
:wave2:,
