7mths to the day in October - BCV or BWV??

Hi, I am still undecided as to where to add on (its between BCV and BWV), but I really can't decide between the two. BCV has three main pluses for us - SAB, campfire movies & Beaches n Cream, but the main advantage of BWV for me is the Boardwalk view which is a HUGE thing in its favour!!

I have just been reading someone else's thread, and I realised that actually the deciding factor is going to be how likely it is that I will be able to get into the resort I DON'T choose at the 7 month mark ( I would be ringing on the very first day at the earliest possible time!!) as ideally I would like to alternate my stays between the two resorts.

So please tell me, in your experience, is it is easier to get BCV or BWV at the 7 month mark in October? (I would definitely want a Boardwalk view at BWV, which I know makes it harder and either way we would be generally looking at 1 beds).

It's very unlikely that you would get a BWV standard or boardwalk view at 7 months for October. It may even be difficult for pool/garden. There have been posts in the past from people who got on the waitlist at 7 months and it never came through.

Yes, I think you are more likely to get a 1 bedroom at BCV at 7 months in October than you are to get a BW view 1 bedroom. I like the standard view villas point savings more than the BW view, and that's why we bought our first contract at BWV. (We also own at BCV, fewer points there, but because of the dedicated 2 bedrooms with 2 queens that we need for larger family. We had always been able to get a few days at BCV at 7 months in a studio, that's what DH and I usually book for ourselves.)

Last year we got a studio pool/garden view at the 7 month mark, no problem. We were even able to add a day a couple months later. Good luck!

I think I am going to opt for BWV - as I only really want a Boardwalk view there and would be disappointed if I didn't get it. I can always try for BCV some trips at 7mths, but as long as I have that dream view at boardwalk, I know I won't be too unhappy if BCV is fully booked & I can't switch out!!
