7am EMH at Magic Kingdom

We are thinking about changing resorts to Poly, but the transportation thing is a bit of an X-factor! That's definitely a good option... I love the aerial maps too! It really helps one to get a sense of where thing are in relation to each other...

Haha, for a moment in all this transportation planning over how to get there, I was like, let me just add contemporary nights for the two days/nights before our MK days. Then I came to my senses. I have touring plans for being able to start at 7 vs 7:30 and it will all be good. Emh/no emh, rain & thunder/no rain & thunder, insane crowds/no insane crowds (just kidding, heh, there will 100% be insane crowds), and on and on.

Why? Because we will be at wdw, and can find a number of drinks at a number of lounges and can be perfectly fine reading on our patio/balcony or napping or eating or swimming or any number of things.

We just did two 7am EMH 11th and 12th at MK. We were staying at AKL and was at the bus stop by 6:20am and both times bus pulled right up. We were the only ones on the bus to MK both mornings. It took nearly 20 minutes to get to MK bus stop but both mornings, not many people were at both gates. We are maybe behind 20 people. Both days, they let people in just at 7am. We joined the line for 7DMT and finished fantasy land in first hour. We then proceeded to tomorrow land to do Buzz, Space Mt. FP+ and get to Adventure Land Pirates, then Thunder Mt FP+ and Splash Mt FP+. We were done around 10:30 both days, grabbed Dole Whip and Citrus Swirl and took express bus to Epcot and latest 11 we were at Epcot.

Wow! That sounds amazing! Definitely sounds like you got a ton done and a 10:30 dole whip sounds perfect! Did you wait long for 7DMT? Thanks so much for reporting back - I really appreciate the info!

We did it once last June. It was incredible. I had never actually been on the front line of rope drop for opening, but we were that day. Just an amazing experience -- no crowds at all. We got a ton done - just as others have said.

So fun! That will be us in 5 days! That's my hope...that we can get a lot done so when the crowds build, we can spend more time just soaking up the scene!

New Years Eve 2013, 7am EMH. I will say the early am's have gotten more crowded over the years. More people in general seem to heed the advice of getting there early than did in the past.

We debated if we should ride again but decided that it's better to get the rest of Fantasy Land done before the general crowd. It was so worth getting up at 5:30am. First day, we ate lunch at Epcot and were back at our resort by 12:30 and swam and napped! Definitely worth the effort. Second day, we came straight back to the resort and it was 11:15 when we got in.

We needed some sugar rush since we've been up for so long. And who could say no to Dole Whip/ Citrus Swirl!


By the way, the crowd level was getting really thick by 10am. When we were taking the Express Bus from MK to Epcot on 11th, sea of people trying to get through securities and we saw miles of cars waiting to get into MK parking lot. Definitely suggest doing Express Bus during crowd season. It only takes 20 minutes from MK to Epcot.

I will need to try the citrus swirl - I'm fairly obsessed with dole whip, so it's hard for me to branch out! But that is our plan - early morning so we can go back to the resort mid-day for pool, poolside beverages, etc...but good to know it won't be too much of a race to 7DMT!

I love this. I am hoping to get 1 or 2 mornings much like yours. That was a perfectly described day at the MK.
