Oh I'm so very sorry to hear this news. Yes, a peaceful transition is what I'll pray for. No matter what though, it's still hard to watch someone you love take their last breath. I talked to my Mom all the way through it. I kept telling her it was okay to leave since it was tougher watching her suffer here on earth. I was sure to tell her that I would be okay (I'm sure she knew I wasn't being truthful there) & that we'd see each other again one day.

The nurses told me that the hearing is actually the last to go so she encouraged me to talk to my Mom. So if that helps for you to share your last special words with your DH.....

Again, I'm so very sorry C.Ann. You & your family have been through so much. This will end up being a release for you in a small way (like it was for me ultimately.)
