70 to Freezing in 7 hours. A Nov/Dec 2011 trip report. Updated 4/28

So I had an excuse to go visit Disney store again on Tuesday (like I need an excuse but whatever) but was wandering around and noticed Jake that was in the window was now in the middle of the floor which led me to see what was in the window and they changed it again woo:

pixie dust and prayers for you!!!
Thanks. Still no word on what I'm actually waiting for but on the plus side the volunteer work was upped yesterday. I had been doing sound and editing on one radio show in a volunteer station since last September and last night started a second show and then ended up being trained on a live show as well  :goodvibes
If anyone hears of any radio work going in any station near them let me know because I'm more than willing to move to America or anywhere else for radio work. Wonder do the Florida stations need staff :rolleyes1 :littleangel:

I really think it's the heat as well that turns me off eating. We don't normally have hot weather over here it's normally wet and cold (although today was 21 degrees celsius) but when I get in the heat I don't eat as much anyway.

My computer is having a meltdown! Still won't let me copy the pics to disk and now won't let me send the files to the radio station. Love it. I should also be in bed right now because I'm working in 10 hours but whatever have a trip report update thing:

Day 8, part 4:
So still on my quest to see the story-tellers the next one was going to be in Morocco but Momma wanted a food stop so I figured lets eat in Morocco near the story-teller because then we wouldn't have to run over from some other pavillon for the storyteller.
SAM_1877.jpg

We went here for food:
SAM_1880.jpg

and I was feeling cheap so I sent Momma in to get her food and a kids meal for me while I waited outside and took pics:
SAM_1879.jpg

I got a burger which was pretty plain and then a bag of "chips"
SAM_1881.jpg

I say "chips" there. In Ireland we call French Fries chips and we call what America call Chips crisps. I always remember the first time we went to America and everytime we asked for chips Momma would always be like no no no I wanted chips not crisps and then would remember she had to ask for fries instead. I just think it's funny the way different countries have different names for the same food product. Anyways that's beside the point. Momma got some sort of lamb wrap with cous cous:
SAM_1882.jpg

I had some of the cous cous and it was nice. While we were eating Mo'Rockin started up across from us as well:
SAM_1883.jpg

We wandered around Morocco then mostly to find the kidcot station and get our stamp and message and I took pics:
SAM_1886.jpg

SAM_1887.jpg

And then it was time for the Moroccan storyteller called the Taarji:
SAM_1888.jpg

SAM_1889.jpg

This was funny because Momma makes faces at things. I don't think she means to but like if we're in a restaurant and she orders something and then the waiter or whoever brings the food when they put the plate down she always looks at it with a face that says is that it like?! It's funny because whoever brings the food usually then starts to panick and are like is it ok etc. I don't think she actually means to do it though but this is another place her faces came into play. The Taarji was picking people from the crowd to do things like a kid or two played on his drum and then he had this little vile of rose water he said. There was some story attached to it but I don't remember but he came over to Momma and he was like put out your hand and she did and he put some of this on her and she smelled her hand a made a face. He saw and was like it smells nice it smells of roses she smelled again and made the face again and he went ooooooh that's a bad face it's supposed to be good :lmao: It was funny though.
The Taarji didn't wait around for people to take pics with him because Mo'Rockin were coming straight back out after him so we made a quick dash towards Mexico for the next story-tellers. We got there with a few minutes to spare so picture time:

Then it was time for the Mexican storytellers Los Tres Reyes Magos... the tree wise men:

There stories were interesting. I think it's cool how educational Epcot is but it always confuses my head I'm on holidays I'm not supposed to be learning. Why is Disney tricking me into learning stuff!

Next up: The highlight of Angels day!

I can relate to your momma and faces...everyone thinks that I am sad/mad a lot of times, but really I am deep in thought. I need to work on my facial gestures!

I think ordering a kids meal is perfectly acceptable...and probably much more healthy than eating a huge adult portion.

Love the princess display...how fun.

My mom makes faces as well without realizing it. Hers are so bad that they can be quite embarrassing. :sad2:

I love the pictures from Morocco. I think's it one of the pretties countries in the showcase.

Right there is my "speech" to Kadence's teachers when we pull her oput of school for our trips.::yes::

It's educational! :thumbsup2

My Grandma is a facemaker. Once a teenage buy caught her looking at him with his pants hanging down. She thought, very loudly, that he should pull up his pants. I think the look of UGH was just as "loud"

I think they're funny really. She doesn't realise she's doing it half the time. It was funny with him though because he was pointing them out!

I tend to order the kids meal alot because it's cheaper. I send Momma up to get it though while I hide from the CM because sometimes they won't let you order the kids meal if you don't have kids with you (yes that has happened to us!)

Love the princess display...how fun.
i thought it was cool. I was expecting them to change the window every month to match the princess of the month since it's princess year or whatever and was disappointed when they didn't. I love the window displays so was excited they had changed it again.

The prayers continue, you deserve some excellent news!
Thanks. Need something to change soon.

I think it's funny. I probably do it myself sometimes I know I make the deer face if I think someone is being an idiot anyway. It's kinda like well you're a fruitcake! Or the headshake that just says what am I doing here! :lmao:

I love the pictures from Morocco. I think's it one of the pretties countries in the showcase.
Thanks. I think I'm falling in love with world showcase. So many picture opportunities and it looks like you're not in Disney anymore so people don't think you only go on Disney holidays shhhh don't tell anyone! ;)

Your mom is so hilarious!
She can have some funny ways. I think everyone has their own funny ways.

Right there is my "speech" to Kadence's teachers when we pull her oput of school for our trips.::yes::

It's all good. Dear Sir/Madame, I need to take my daughter to Florida on a field trip to teach her about different countries from around world (showcase.) She will get to experience food from the countries so will be learning all about cuisine from around the world as well and she will meet many different nationalies Mulan is from China, Belle is French. All in all her field trip will teach her more than you will in your classroom.
Yours loving Mom/Dad that wants to go to Disney :)

lol. Love it!

BLEH BLEH BLEH BLEH!

I think my computer is having a mid life crisis! Now as well as getting the drag to disk message it now won't let me upload the radio shows to the programme to send them to the station keeps crashing when I try. What the fork like! I was sending my radio doc to people and two days ago I sent it it worked fine and yesterday crashed everytime. Comp also won't let me send the audio files as attachments!

Crappy crappy stupid day! :furious::sad:

I hate to say it..but I think it's at the end of it's life. Can you transfer stuff to a removable / portable hard drive?

I love XP, but sadly, I think most of them are dying out now. of course we beat the crap out of them with all the stuff we do too.

Think I may ring our computer friend. I tried to run anti virus and pc clean up thing today it did it's job whatever and still no joy. If it's not the internet provider that's down then I'm at a complete loss as to whats going on. I have the shows on disk and everything else I can put on the hard drive to transfer but what a pain. I now have to go to Dublin Monday because one of the shows has to be on air on Tuesday!

So computer has come back and viruses taken off and blah blah computer terms but it's still doing the same the one site I need to work is not working and it is not a problem on the browser because I have three and they all doing the same and it worked in local shopping centre earlier. Our internet provider tried to make out it was the browser not them!

I also had an eye test earlier and they blow air into your eyes and frick it's like someone proding your eye it still hurts!

Rant rant rant rant :rotfl:

Hi Emma, I hope your eye feels better, I used to work for an ophthalmologist and that was the most dreaded test by everyone! Computer problems are the pits, I am sorry you are continuing to have problems. Thinking of you! :grouphug:

We're thinking we're prob going to change internet providers because computer back and problems on that side fixed and internet still doing the same kinda annoying but still.

My eyes will be fine tomorrow i'd say they just have the stingy feeling like it was poked by mistake or like when you get soap in it. I don't really mind the eye test just the after affects of that isn't nice! Plus the fact I have to pay to get new lens's because one of my eyes getting worse! On th eplus side though I got the eye test for free. They sent me a letter saying I needed one in like April but I didn't have time to go with all the college stuff going on so I got another letter last week from them saying I hadn't made an appointment and here is a voucher for a free eye test.. obviously trying to incourage me to go but see waiting gets you things for free sometimes :rotfl:

I spent the past two days getting the next two days trip pics uploaded into photobucket so they're ready to have their story told. Who wants an update:

Day 8, part 5:
So when I left you we had just seen the Three Wise Men and were heading towards the exit in Epcot but first the whole reason I brought Angel with me to the parks that day was because I thought it might be funny to have Mickey's favourite bear meet my favourite bear and to see what Duffy would do when he met Angel! (Did you see that pic floating around the internet that said I love Disney more than the average six year old yeah well that's me except I love Disney, teddies and shiny things more than the average six year old so there!) :rotfl: Anyways since Duffy's meet and greet was in the direction of the exit and we were headed that way anyway I hopped in the queue with Angel and Momma back in her refusing to pose with characters mode went to find a wall to sit on. Random photopass pic of Duffy:
32370350259.jpg

There was a longer wait for Duffy today but we waited it out and then as I was three people from the top Duffy took a break. He came back a while later:
SAM_1908.jpg

but when he came back he took two photos and then signalled the CM that he needed to leave. No idea what was going on but Duffy left and a few minutes later the CM came back and said that Duffy had an emergency and couldn't come back until 4.10... I think it was about 4 at that stage but I know it was about a ten minute wait anyway and since I was at the top of the queue I decided to try call mother over and make sure it was still ok with her if I waited but she had disappeared. I stayed put so that I wouldn't lose her and eventually she showed up in front of me wondering where the big bear was gone! I told her what was going on and she went off to find a shaded spot again. Duffy did eventually come back out and no more explanation given as to why he had disappeared so fast the last time. And Duffy loved Angel he was patting him on the head and everything:
32370350257.jpg

32370350263.jpg

We got our pic with Duffy but the photopass photographer was a little silly and didn't tell me to turn Angel around so Mr. Angel was looking off to the side tut tut:
32370350265.jpg

When I went back to Momma she was doing a Mary Poppins on it and feeding the birds:
SAM_1910.jpg

She'd bought some sort of cake thing off a cart when she went missing and didn't like it so decided to feed the birds beside her. I took a few more pictures around the shop with all the Duffy gear:
SAM_1911.jpg

SAM_1913.jpg

This little fellow scurried by as I was taking pics:
SAM_1912.jpg

We stopped in front of the big Christmas tree for some photopass pics:
32370350270.jpg

Next we went into Lost and found to see if Momma's hat had showed up but nope. They said that we should check back later in the day because everything lost would be brought to the front of the park at the end of the night and this is the important part once it was brought to lost and found they would keep it in Epcot for a week before sending it to the main lost and found. We didn't have time to check later in the day because remember my problem the first day in Magic Kingdom where the video camera died before the parade and fireworks yeah well this was going to be the only other day we could get the normal parade and fireworks on video so we were heading out of Epcot
SAM_1914.jpg

On to the Monorail and towards the Magic Kingdom
SAM_1915.jpg

I always asked Momma what she thought of what we did at the end of every day as well and regarding Epcot today she said she thought the story-tellers were interesting and was glad the whole world was not as mad as Ireland regarding Santa.

Next up: Will the video camera work on the second go?

Duffy had an emergency? Really? :rotfl2:

I love the pictures you got of the story tellers. Their costuming is great! I missed so many of them in December so its fun to see your pics.

I also really enjoyed your pics of China. Fun updates.

On to MK - hope the camera works!

I made a new bloggie thing. It was meant to be like the Animal Kingdom one but I had to many pics I wanted to share anyways Clickie to look

Duffy had an emergency? Really? :rotfl2:
That is exactly what we were told. Duffy had an emergency and nothing more than that and what time he'd be back at. :confused3

They were really interesting and educational. I'm planning on putting a kind of snippet video together eventually of them all when I get the stuff onto my computer so will put it on you tube when it's done. First will be a video of Osbourne Lights though hopefully... I'm working on the Hollywood studios dvd bits at the mo when I've time.

I also really enjoyed your pics of China. Fun updates.
Thank you. I like pictures as you might guess from my trip report and the fact I took over 3000 on the last trip :littleangel:

On to MK - hope the camera works!
That's pretty much what I was thinking on the day as well. :lmao:

Wonder what was going on with Duffy! :confused3 But, I'm glad you were finally able to meet him. :thumbsup2
