7 Sins of a Theme Park Visitor

Classic. Wouldn't be too much if I printed it out on business cards And handed them out to offenders ; ) my own personal disney cop

I think they reprint this article anytime they have some room on the leisure page to kill.

Cute-one thing I have always wondered re the child on the shoulders.

What exactly do people expect to happen?
If you are in a crowd waiting for say the fireworks, unless you are in the front the child will not see if they are left on ground level, the child is actually entitled to a view, they have waited and paid to be there too.
To me it is equally unreasonable to expect the adult to hoist the child on their shoulders for the entire wait time, i'm not sure about you but I am not planning on having someone 15kgs on my shoulders for an hour or more.

So I think more to the point the sin is those waiting in the back (who have obviously come later or they would be in front-except where people have pushed in) who are aghast that the rather obvious has happened.

But he's not saying dont lift your kids up. He's saying hold them at/about your own eye level.

Easy. Piggyback-carry. (or on the hip if they are little enough) That way they aren't any taller than you are, and the child gets the same view you get.

Such a funny article. I can't agree more about the iPad/tablet thing. I cannot even fathom having to carry that around with me all day. Also, trying to take photos in a crowd with your iPad takes some serious skills.

The worst.

:rotfl:I think you're missing what the writer of the article is saying here.

If they would pick up their child and put them on their hip or even their back then the child's head would be even with Dad's. High enough to see but not an additional block to those behind who already knew that they would be looking over the dad's head.

And it's kind of unreasonable to think that those who came later deserve what they get. There can only be some many in the front. No matter how early you think you are, there is often someone earlier.
