Does anyone remember the 7 nights for 4 package that Disney ran in 2003? We went in April that year and stayed at an ASMo. We came home and of course started researching for our next trip and learned about the 7 nights for 4 deal. We booked right away and stayed for a week at GF for LESS than we had just paid for a week at ASMo.

Oh, I wish they would have a deal like that again!!! :goodvibes

I remember it well. That was the first time I went to Disney. We stayed at the FW cabins and got hooked on Disney. We went in Sept and didn't really understand how empty the parks were since we were Disney virgins. We got spoiled by the little pink Tink card. That was back when they had the length of stay pass or whatever and you could just go and do as you pleased. Thanks for reminding me of my first trip to Disney. Don't even want to think about that kind of deal again, since that was in the travel slump after 9/11.

Yep....it was the Fairytale package. I originally booked POR, then changed to WL. Well, I finally settled on the Polynesian since it was such a great deal, I couldn't pass it up. August '03 was when we were there. It was on that trip that my dh decided to look into DVC...2 months later, we were owners at BWV!!
Man, that was a great deal.

It is so ironic that you mention this b/c I was just saying to my dh how I wish they had that fabulous deal again! That was the 2nd time that I brought my ds to WDW and we stayed at POFQ. We had a great time!

We tried Poly concierge that year, went during Thanksgiving.

Oh dear god that was a good deal.:scared1:

Fell in love with that Poly concierge but haven't been able to bring myself to pay for it again!!!:teacher:

I found the receipt the other day and the room was $211 per night for garden view concierge. What is rack now $500 plus? I mean we loved it but not enough for those big bucks. I am all about bang for the buck and I just don't think it is worth those prices?:confused3

Now it makes sense to me why we didn't do that. We had annual passes that expired in Aug 2003 and received a rate of $74 per night at the Coronado Springs in May and $114 for the Wilderness Lodge in Aug. We were even upgraded at the WL from a standard to the pool/garden view. I think we had one of the best rooms in the hotel. I haven't seen this type of discount since!!

That's the summer we did the BWI concierge and it was wonderful. That was a great summer vacation for us, we were in Florida for 3 weeks. I do wish they would do that again.

That was the best deal and the best trip ever for my family. We were there in mid-September (ironically, the first day of our trip was my dad's 60th birthday) and we had a fabulous time. Got to do so much for so cheap! I keep hoping they'd do it again. We were at POR and I'd jump at the chance for that deal again! :lovestruc :cloud9: :woohoo: :cheer2:

I just did a comparison. With a 149 rack rate during value season, it is 626 with a 40 percent off code and 596 for the 7 for 4 code. So the 40 percent off postcards recently came very, very close.

We had just been in early June using our DVC points when we heard about the 7 for 4 deal. We booked the GF - Sugarloaf Concierge for seven nights for our son's birthday at the end of July. Talk about crazy. You'll never see that one again. I think the next time they offered anything close to that it was 7 for 5.

We also stayed at poly(first time) with this offer. We stay LVC in room 3502 and it was awesome.

We got the offer for being new Disney Visa card holders - what a savings.

I remember it also. It was called the fairytale magic package. That was our first trip to disney and we loved it. We stayed at the allstar sports. I hope disney comes out with something similar to that next year with the way the economy is. Let's all keep our fingers crossed.

It seems that since then Disney had the free dining. In 2003 we received the best AP room specials too. This year the value resorts are at the moderate costs from back then. I guess everything goes up, but the park AP has even increased by over 25%. I guess enough of us are still buying them.

This is the first time we've had ap's and I'm hoping for good discounts this year. The 7 for 4 was a deal of a lifetime and such a magical trip for us! :goodvibes Now when I price GF or Poly, I just cant justify spending that much. :sad2: I sure wish we would have received one of those 40% off cards! Now that we live closer to WDW (we moved from Dallas to Atlanta), we've purchased ap's and we're planning several trips this year! Bring on the ap discounts!
