7 day Western - May 7, 2005???

goofytoo

brat was not my nickname but something my DH likes to refer to me as when i can't get my own way

i don't think everyone would be comfortable sharing cabin numbers but PM me i will give you mine- i look forward to meeting you & family!! :hyper2:

I may be a little late in joining this whole thread but I was wondering if there was a plan to all meet up sometime during the cruise? I plan on making a lime green mickey head magnet and putting it on our room door. (Maybe I can make one with my user name (2ndstar to the right) and put that on our door too). Feel free to knock and say hi!!
::yes:: ::yes:: ::yes::

Goofytoo - I'm actually looking forward to my 40th. I'll be in WAY better shape than I was at 30!!

We booked our snorkeling excursion directly through Capt Marvin. If the ship doesn't make it, we don't get charged. Since we're only doing the 2 1/2 hour excursion, missing the ship won't be a problem.

2ndstar - It's NEVER too late to join in :teeth: We actually have a meet planned for 3:00 on deck 10. James/jrp is making these great buttons for everyone.

Bratray - I don't mind giving out my room number since I think I mentioned it on here early on. We're in 2108, but I think the part is going to be on deck 6 :cool1: :cool1:

48 days till we leave

Hey, we're on Deck 6 (Aft), too! :cool1:
Seems like Deck could become the unofficial 'DISer Deck".

Hi Everyone -

I've been reading from the sidelines for a long long time and I've learned so much from all of you.....especially all the uses for duct tape!

My family (DH, DS20, DS14, DS9) and a host of friends and family (19 of us in all) are on the 5/7 Western. This will be our first cruise and being the Disney fans that we are, we didn't even consider any other line.

I can't even begin to tell you how excited I am and I owe it to all of you :)

We're driving down Friday (and staying in Jacksonville). I think the road to Florida is going to be even longer than it was the first time we went to WDW!!!

We've booked the DCL Stingray City tour and jet skis on CC. We're trying to watch our spending so we're going to wing it at Key West and Cozumel.

We're on deck 7, thanks to great upgrades (cat 8 to cat 5). I know the block of rooms we have, but I'm not sure exactly which one is mine, yet. My friend who took the call from the TA about our upgrades was too excited (and shocked, she did the 7nt Eastern before and knew that upgrades were rare), to actually right down who was in which room. Oh well, we love her anyway!

Anyone else have a 20yr old? My DS is the oldest "child" in our group. My 14yr DS is also the only boy his age. I'm hoping they can find someone their own ages to hang with. I really don't want them just hanging and doing not much because they are too far apart in age to go to a club together.

AAAhhhh!!! I can't wait !!!!

welcome belle & 2ndstar glad you came to visit our dismeet group- we are all terribly excited- some (like me) more so then their kids :jumping1:

we are in cabin 2128! no verandah but always hopeful for an upgrade :rolleyes2

bratray,
Thanks for doing the list.
Me - Lynn - 37
DH - Marty - 42
DD - Ashley - 7
DD - Emily - 3

bratray & tera - we'll all be neighbors on deck 2. We're in 2122 (unless pixie dust falls on us!!!) ;)

Tera, we booked the 2 1/2 hour with Capt. Marvin's too. We scheduled ours for 11:15. What about you?

Belle2667, calls on upgrades already? Where's mine?? :rotfl2:

We're staying the night before at the Hyatt at MCO. I've always wanted to stay there (we have family in FL so we fly in once a year or so). FL Tours is picking us up in the morning - want to get to the Port early for the ressie rush. ::yes:: Staying at the Radisson the night we get off the ship.

Hi all :jumping1:
Yep you are right about being out but, it was only 66 today and I froze on the bike (Florida thin blood) but I did get a new super ignition kit put onLucille today.. I also got both vehicles oil changed and tires balanced and rotated on the wife's car... ::MinnieMo Tomorrow is a big anniversary/bike show and clean is the name of the game. Sunday is the 5 bridge run and should be in the 70's brrrrrrrrr...About 150 miles total.... Due for more rain on Tuesday but, till then  Let the games begin... You know what they say---Harley Davidson=HD=Hundred Dollars when you go in the shop...Working on the buttons I got info on and have most of one bag with necc. junk etc... We are on the Disney stingray snorkel 1:00pm even though I give high praise to Capt. Marvins tour package.. Plan on the wine tasting again this trip I hope????? :rolleyes2 James :firefight

Hey James!
For the wine tasting... is that something I check the navigator's for and then pick up tickets? Always wanted to try that! ;)

Yepper the wine tasting is in the Navigator and usually is on the at sea days. I know last time we did it on Thursday which I will try for again.. It was great as that is how My DW got hooked on Iron Horse wine.. Disney's own signature wine. We are having a bottle wating on us when we arrive package number 1177..hehe Any new people to the group---Welcome to your home away from home and as Tera said the meet is 3:00pm on the day of departure on deck 10.. If all the new folk will pm me with your info I will make you and yours buttons for the meet.. For those posting I need your firat name and screen name and DH or DW and Kids names--first only for security no last names... These are sure to be collectors items on e-bay with the green Mickey ears and names to display proudly throughout your cruise experience..Think swamp land Umm I mean beach front property.. :rotfl2: James :firefight

Hi Belle and Welcome!!!

LostGirl/Bratray- We'll have to have our own little deck party :drinking1 :drinking1 Looks like we're all really close together too :teeth:

LG - We are also doing the 11:15 with Capt Marvin. My girls, especially my oldest Jessica (12) are great with little ones, so maybe she can take Emily under her wing :)

Where exactly on deck 10 will we be meeting? I've never been on the ship before and I'm sure deck 10 is pretty big...
Thanks!!

It's a cold and dreary rainy day here in PA, but 7 weeks from today we'll all be warm and toasty in Key West!
Any fellow Parrot Heads onboard?

good question 2ndstar- james where will we meet on deck 10???

congrats 2ndstar on your upcoming WDW wedding the following may! :flower2:

as far as weather goes we are having a heat wave here with a high of 34 degrees :rotfl2:

Hi all ;)
If all think it is a good place to meet on 10 ;) lets try for the aft part of the ship if the weather is good :flower: I will call Dis tomorrow and see ifthere is any other place on 10 the DIS group usually meet :jumping1: James
p.s. The more I think about it the outlook bar on deck 10 would be the perfect place to meet as there are table and chairs and of course libations available :worship:

Hi guys .....only 7 more weeks now :jumping1:

We are starting to think about packing. On the boards, people are posting not to really dress up (tuxes) on formal night. We were considering going all out, long dress and tux. Is anyone else doing this? I don't want to be over dress and husband could just wear a suit, but I was looking forward to this.

So, anyone else either packing real formal wear or ordering a tux to be delivered to your cabin room?

Also, we are also on Deck 6!! A real Dis deck!! :bounce:

TIA and just can't wait :bounce: :bounce:

Hi MariaTia2 - We're going all out for formal night for sure. We don't get to dress up much.... okay... NEVER, so this is a great photo op for our family. I bought a long dress and I will be ordering a tux for DH online to be delievered to our cabin. My girls both have formal type dresses to wear also. My DH will be wearing the tux for semi formal night also, but I will be wearing a shorter, but still dressy dress.
