Hi all:yay:

Just subscribing having found you all again! New job is keeping me ridiculously busy & to top it I competed in the department's swimming gala on Thursday. I only entered 3 events (50m back, 50m breast & 50m free) but ended up swimming 450m in various other relays etc. I wasn't expecting & as a result discovered long forgotten muscles!

Celestine
Good for you:thumbsup2 Wish I could swim like that. Never had the stamina:sad2:

Again I understand, as its a money spinner it will be there, I think we have an announcement coming soon, shore trips, new entertainment, Med and Baltic, the Villains show, etc.

Say within this Month. Maybe early Nove.
Sooo looking forward to that:woohoo:

Made another door magnet for the cruise and thought I'd post it for everyone.
WOW:thumbsup2 You're good:cheer2: Are you making these just for your door or are you going to make them as fish extender gifts? I loved:lovestruc getting tons of door magnets as fish extender gifts last year. Is it ok if we borrow your designs to make signs for our own doors?

My vote is to make the pirate: walk the plank....I'm sick of the pirate: . If they changed it up a bit from year to year it wouldn't be so bad, but it's the same old stuff and it gets old after a while. I only go to see the fireworks and don't really pay attention to what else is going on.

I'm so with you on this. I'm done with pirates, it's time for something else. I'm sure Disney can come up with something that still brings in the money. Fireworks can still stay though. I like those!

I think with all the castles and things we could see, they should just due some sort or royal princess: dinner. They sure have a lot a princess items they could sell.
I agree:thumbsup2 I'm ready for a change from pirates too.

That's what i was thinking also. I SWEAR I read it yesterday on the passport site and now can't find anything about 6 months before or after. :confused3 I think I'm just going nuts now! I'll look more when I get home tonight!

You aren't going nuts, it's men plotting against you. :rotfl2: :headache:

Anyway - what do graduated band members do, they come back for alumni night and perform with current band

For pregame the band performs a marching script Birds (just like Ohio State's script Ohio) this year alumnist Nancy Cartwright dotted the i (Bart Simpson's voice) - she declined playing this year - she is a former susa/tuba player

Cool pics:thumbsup2 Homecoming, right?

My DS15 is also marching band. I signed him up for band day at University of Virginia next month. He'll get to march with the UVA marching band for one small performance and watch the football game with the band as well. He is less than thrilled that I signed him up, but it isn't like the kid has anything else planned that weekend anyway:rolleyes1

So when I see you next month that will be my last night to turn my head and make snide comments, right Laurie?:lmao: I'm so glad you finally got the first appointment scheduled:love::love::love:

Not sure if this is old or new news, been looking at the DCL website quite often to look for the release of Med and Baltic shore trips. Now I didnt notice this before but they have port maps up now and where the local sightseeing highlights are and disntace from the port.

To me the photos in each port have been updated, now maybe wrong, and not new, but thought I would mention it, as I havent seen that detail before.

Remind me where your hotel is, what your time constraints are, and if it just you and me -- or the whole crew . . . armed with that info I will give some suggestions for meeting . . . I'm looking forward to it!:goodvibes

Pretty brave, I have been trying to work up the nerve to visit a podiatrist for my bunion. You are a much braver woman then I!;)

Sorry Mrs. Scooby, I don't know what a fish extender is. This is my first cruise. I have indeed made these for anyone who wishes to have them or anyone who wishes to change them.

I put them on the magnet thread also with the Helsinki flag.

Thanks Andrew, I'll have to take a look at this.
I've been on DCL's website several times the last week but haven't been poking around for this cruise. I found out last Monday that my TA for our Jan. cruise screwed things up and our ressie got cancelled by DCL. Got that all straightened out last week and then I go on there again today and find out they screwed it up again and once again DCL cancelled it. So I finally got it straight this afternoon. I'm just glad that my cabin wasn't taken by someone else both times it was cancelled. Of course, the TA wanted to blame DCL for the error. I'm glad that I know that I can look on DCL's website and see the booking or else we wouldn't have known about it until it was way too late and hadn't received our documents.

Copenhagen is very easy to walk. We did get lost but we wound up stumbling across the Russian embassy and right around the corner from it was the US embassy. We made a right turn and should have made a left turn, so it wasn't too bad. I'm actually glad we took a wrong turn because they gave us a really nice guide book with a map and it was all in English.
The walk from the ship to the center of the city was about 15-20 minutes.

I just had a look at this, too -- the port maps are new, I am sure of it . . .

Thought it was new, saw the actual cruise map before but not the port maps, a little more detail on places to go. Think shore trips must be out soon. I am working on them releasing them all in one go, TA, Med and Baltic, so for the TA it must be by early Nove as you can book at 120 days. Give a chance to consider what to do.

Thanks Andrew, I'll have to take a look at this.

Poor TA there, thanks on info re Copenhagen seems DCL are encouraging that as a walk or organsied walk. Awaiting all the shore trips to be released.
