Morning

A brisk 35 here at the moment, broke down and turned on the furance

Started looking at airfare, so far best deal is looking at flying out of Boston however, no direct flights from here to Boston so looking like will have to spend the night at a Boston hotel

have a good one

We booked our air! We are flying British Airways nonstop from Seattle to Heathrow. Leaving July 14 at 6:50PM and arriving in London the next day at 11:50AM. Returning July 30 at 3:15pm and get back to Seattle at 4:45PM. Total price for the 4 of us is $5055.00.
Now to work on the hotel.

Good Job!:thumbsup2 Non-stop is the way to go!

How long is the flight from Seattle?

I am so so pleased I do not have to book or undertake long haul for a while.

The 11 hours to LA, or 10 to LV, or 9 to Orlando.

I only have 4 hours to Rhodes next spring, thats our 'rest' holiday by the beach, on GMT, -That's Greek maybe time, to de-stress, as this cruise, will be anything other than a rest, with the intensive ports of call.

2011 will be a 90 min flight from London city airport to Barcelona and back, London city by car is most likely about 20 mins away.

Make a change from Heathrow and Gatwick which are the other side of town so 45>60 mins by car or train.

This cruise will be so night, get up Sunday morning say 7am drive 8am be at port 9am!-Nice Sunday drive. Dont even need to lock the bags!!!

BA quotes it at 9 hours 0 minutes.

That's not much further than a flight from Philly to LHR, it's 6-6½ hours over and 7 coming back, depending on the head/tail winds. So I would say you are acutally looking at an 8-8½ hour flight going over and 9 coming back.

You are correct depending on the route the pilot wants to take and where the jet stream is, it can have a big effect on your flight.

In August for example going we went via Azores, around the belly of the Atlantic, to avoid strong headwinds, on the way back we went up East Coast USA, and Newfoundland and then across the top of the Atlantic. We surfed the jet stream. Now that makes a bumpy flight and lots of seat belts on ,but we departed 45 Min's late and arrived 15 Min's early.

Flight times out 9 hours, back 7 hours.

Set my PM and email box alight in the last few days!!!!

1900 Views, nice to have a lot of support!!!:)

You are treading dangerous water's again Andrew!

If DCL does have more family rooms that are not considered suites expect them to be bigger than the same cat room by 25% but cost 50% to 75% more!

As has been heard before DCL is King at giving less for more!:lmao::rotfl::scared1:

OK, passport question!
Alana's passport expires next year plus she also turns 16 in March. If we renew her passport now(or before her birthday) will it be renewed as a minor passport or would it be renewed as an adult one. So basically, do we weait until after her birthday to renew or what?

I thought all childrens passports were 5 year renewals untill they turned 18.

But hit the GOV website to see!:teacher:

Yes, and some of the PM's have said so, but a big 'well done' If I posted some of the PM's I would I am sure have to take a holiday,;)

Some are surprised I am still around.

What keeps me going and the power behind this, is and its sad to say, people feel scared to post their views. Disboarders have views, but feel they cannot any longer post these, as very quickly they will get a a few counter posts.

If I didn't get this support I would shut up. But I hope I am doing some service, speaking up like the OP on that thread, that the tide of posts is not balanced.

This weekend I have made a lot more friends, and also upset one or so, others, ( not intentionally.)

I know a few people who have had points/bans and they are very nice people just expressing their own view.

So important question?

When will be ''Pirates in the Baltic / or North Sea?''

There will be little 'dark time' at night so that effects the fireworks and kids cant stay up late late,

A guess would be last two sea days /nights coming back to UK, as the closer to us, the more night time, maybe pirates or Vikings! in the North Sea.

Those two back to back sea days will need something on them.

As the ports will require a lot of sightseeing and long days, I presume thoose nights will be more relaxed and have a local theme and menu.
My hope would be that they do something else besides a Pirate Night. I'm getting really pirated out.

I wrote to Disney asking if they were even going to have a Pirate night because I wanted to buy Madison and my nieces matching pirate outfits for Christmas. They answered they had not decided about a Pirate night for this cruise yet. I can't imagine them not having one, ye I hate to buy the outfits without knowing.

I know what you mean but it will be there, and the reason, its a money spinner, they sell pirate gear in the shops, toys and light stuff on the decks, DCL Cruisers dont generally drink as much as other cruise lines and DCL have targets on drink for sales and each server has, so this night helps that. Photos from Shutters, the pirate kids drinks etc, it all brings in lots and lots of $$$$$$'s.

That's the reason we have a pirate night!!!

I think we will have at least two deck parties if not three, maybe a midnight sun one?? or a Viking night? All this adds to income, in addition to shore trips, spa etc. Basically a cruise should make 25% income on the ship, against 75% cruise price.

She will of had her passport for 5 years. We got it in 2005. Do we just wait until she is 16 and then go apply for an adult passport or are we renewing her one she has now and they will renew it as an adult one?

Again I understand, as its a money spinner it will be there, I think we have an announcement coming soon, shore trips, new entertainment, Med and Baltic, the Villains show, etc.

Say within this Month. Maybe early Nove.
